Summary: Who is actually doing a replication attempt?

  • Does Luca Gamberale have such unimpeachable good character that merely his word can derail the whole Defkalion reputation?

I do not know about his reputation, but for the following reasons I am confident his report is accurate:

    1. The data and the facts he listed are a close fit to what McKubre, I and others observed in the Defkalion tests.

    2. Defkalion never responded. On the contrary, they vanished. If they had a valid response, why would they not publish it?

    3. Defkalion's other customers are suing them.

  • If retired physicist Parkhomov managed to replicate this experiment in his home conditions, if you watched the video, it was actually quite funny to see how he used his old cast iron stewing pot immersed in water as an internal chamber container with LENR reactor,

First, he did not replicate the experiment. Second, that is not "quite funny." It is unprofessional and the results are useless. Amateur experiments with that kind of equipment prove nothing. They are a waste of time. Do it right, or don't do it at all.

I agree. It wasn't a replication - but he did have some interesting transmutation results.

  • Look at this nonsense:

What is the scale of your operations with LENR — how many people working with you on it?

If we count also workers in external companies it could reach at least one hundred people that are directly involved with the reactors.

100 people and automatic manufacturing and never ever shown a working sample device.

ARGHHHHHH, no one can really tell me, that this is no hoax.

  • Only Saint Rossi followers believe in this BS...you are so right. If there would be a product in this category you would find on specific websites (some of them require a registration) approval or even certificates, if - as Rossi claims - he is supposed to be close to a product. No serious businessman will start production without having a certified product that he can sell. I used to look a our competition's activities this way, you can find out what new products they have or are about to approve - months before any other official announcement or launch...

  • I have just joined the LENR Forum and find it extremely interesting. I am a safety specialist. I have a couple of questions. (1) If the science regarding LENR is not established or accepted by the scientific community, how can the safety of the device be demonstrated to the satisfaction of markets and national and international law? (2) what is the current risk from 'patent trolls' http://energycatalyzer3.com/ne…-research-and-development Until confidence is attained I don't see the markets reacting positively therefore I am sceptical but hopeful. But I agree, LENR is getting serious reviews and should be taken seriously, but not in the absence of greater public and scientific 'confidence'.

Take a look at this thread:

    Fun with tachyons

There is some sort of radiation coming out of LENR reactors/fuel.

It destroys plastic and radiation tracts are detected outside of the reactor.

There is a long history of particle detection in CR39 over the years. The patent that the navy received for radiation mitigation was full of particle claims.

Such radiation must be researched as to its nature and its impact on reactor design in terms of safety.

  • Is there some place we can read more about this?

Now that the Rossi trial is over, the trolls can wet their beaks on the legal travails of new innocents. I expect that there will be many such opportunities to feed the trolls into a rotund ecstasy. But like any flock of vultures, their hunger is insatiable, the hunt goes on incessantly.

The Rossi trial isn't "over." There WAS NO ROSSI TRIAL. There was an OUT OF COURT settlement. No facts were tried. No judge or jury reached a verdict. The rest of what you said doesn't make sense to me. The question was "is there someplace we can read more about people suing Defkalion". You quoted it but what you wrote doesn't not address that issue.

    Let me explain:

Those few masterly crafted sentences is an allegorical soliloquy.

Picture yourself as just one of the vultures in a large flock. This flock of vultures symbolizes the crowd of trolls that frequent here. This flock constantly revels in any hardships that might befall the LENR faithful. In disparagement, these trolls call the LENR faithful "Rossi planet".

This flock of vultures incessantly circle high above the allegorical plain of life, hoping for problems to befall anyone who is trying to advance LENR. When they find this unfortunate situation, like the shadow death, they descend on the hapless LENR advocate, they feed on this symbolic carrion with wild abandon until they can feast no more. But then with their bellies full unto bursting with the grief of others so that they can barely lumber into the sky once again and begin their never ending search anew, like a coven of fallen angels who rejoice at human pain, never satisfied or sated, always hungry for more misfortune, pain, and heartache to befall the next unfortunate ill fated "Rossi planet" inhabitant.

  • Complete, total, abject nonsense.

We now have known each other from many years back. And now, when your persona enters my mind, I begin to think as pictured in the allegory, like a dream of predatory ferocity I can't help it, it's pavlovian. That is why this remembrance is a soliloquy. I try to avoid such negative thoughts but sometimes your posts get through my metal defences and I succumb to these gloomy feelings. You have worked hard over these many years to inspire these antipathetic feelings in me.

  • Actually we don't "know" each other at all, having never met and having never had a conversation. Posting responses on the internet doesn't allow you to "know" someone in most cases. "Predatory ferocity?" That's hilarious. I worked hard to inspire feelings in you? Seriously? All I've tried to do is to disabuse people of the belief that Defkalion and Rossi really had or have the solution to proving and using LENR. If I am tenacious, it's because I hate harmful and wasteful energy scams, especially when they become so obvious. As with some other skeptics, my interest is mainly in how it is possible that otherwise intelligent, even very bright people, can still believe the con men who prey on them.

I am sure you're a well meaning individual, Axil. And you needn't worry about my getting through your defenses, For the most part, I do not have the faintest idea what you are writing about and I am only rarely addressing comments to you and then usually when you express belief in something I find obviously and transparently phony.

    Anyway, best wishes.

... mary, believe me, when I say: No one really has.

  • Jed, you mentioned that Defkalion's clients are suing. Where? What is known about this? I thought Defkalion was a corporation or the foreign equivalent with limited liability and they dissolved. Is this not right? Is someone going after the former principals for fraud? That would be cool.

Hmmm . . . I recall reading this at about the time Gamberale published his Final Technical Report in 2014. The Technical Report does not say there is a lawsuit. It says Defkalion is "not trustworthy" and it describes what appears to be deception.

    http://lenr-canr.org/acrobat/GamberaleLfinaltechn.pdf

It seems I did not bookmark a report about a lawsuit. Sorry.

I vaguely recall a discussion of the lawsuit in an interview with Defkalion president Xanthoulis. Maybe Google can find it? A quick search did not turn it up.

  • Suing Defkalion would be in vain, they have no assets. They no longer exist. Suing Xanthoulis would be difficult because Defkalion was a limited liability entity. You'd have to prove he deliberately defrauded investors. I think maybe Hadjichristos did that but I doubt that Xanthoulis did. I think he was sincere if misinformed. Just an opinion of course. And suing Hadjichristos would be pointless too, most likely-- I doubt that he has enough money to make it worthwhile. He was always sort of a two bit player despite his unpleasantness, smugness, duplicity, deceptiveness, arrogance and inappropriate expressions of superiority. You can't sue someone for being a terrible person and I think anything more such as intent would be very hard to prove.

It is time to bring this thread to life. I think we will see many exciting new attempts in the coming year.

We have many members who discuss the purchase of parts and ways for successful replication. I suggest we compile teams / members who will try to replicate the interesting R20 (MIZUNO). Previously, we have seen members who have received good results but who have left the public, would be sad if it happened again.

Help me, who will try ?
