Wired UK: Cold fusion E-Cat experiment ends explosively

    • Official Post

The current MFMP Dog-Bone Test-series seem to make massive waves also in mainstream media:

    Quote

An attempt by the Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project to
replicate E-Cat, Andrea Rossi's alleged cold fusion reactor, ended explosively
yesterday after the reactor heated to over 1,000C.

    Quote

It is too soon to say whether the explosion really was due to the sort of runaway cold fusion reactions alleged to have destroyed a number of Parkhomov’s test reactors, or whether it was something simpler . . . The MFMP might just have succeeded in producing its first visible cold fusion reaction at last. Rossi has indicated that the difficult part is maintaining a controlled, stable reaction once it starts and preventing runaway, and this may be why he feels he is ahead in the race to commercialise the technology.

Data need to be analysed, especially last seconds, about temperature, radiations.
It maybe simply be an explosion because of LiAlH4 vaporizing... or a thermal runaway of the SiC itself .
if voltage is stabilized, NTC of SiC can cause local runaway. same with PTC if current is stabilized.
SiC is NTC until about 1000C then PTC above

  • Wanted to see, if there'll be any type of reaction to the "explosive end" of the MFMP attempt at replication of the Rossi E-Cat generator effect. Neah, I don't see any market reaction one way or the other. This is a coin for the piggybank of the skeptics of the oil price linkage to the LENR progress.

It seems the most competent on the subject are far from convinced that this bang is an evidence.
There seems to be no credible increase of temperature before, at worst a possible sign of TC failure.
No better radiation sign, except during the banhg, which is normal because radiation detectors are sensible to bang.

moreover if you have a way of mind of a finance professional, the question of of reality of LENr and E-cat is closed (IH and Elforsk supprt, plus Norway, Airbus), it is real.

the question is time to market, and that is not fantastic and very uncertain.

If I was an investor I would hedge my investment against an oil price volatility in the next month and general lowering in the next 10 years... i would bet on a positive market outcome in the 10 years, and huge volatility meanwhile. I would avoid directional position on oil, as barrel or as companies our states, because anything can happen, including higher oil price by lack of investments, or good strategy by oil companies or states exploiting LENR to pump oil for cheaper.
