Biological Detection of Physical Factors Related to the High-Current Electric Explosion of Conductors in a Vacuum

    Abstract

The effect physical factors associated with the high-current electric explosion of conductors in a vacuum (pulsed magnetic field, light exposure, radiation leaving specific tracks on nuclear emulsions and other materials) have on biological systems is studied. The effect is assessed from the level of nuclear DNA damage in human peripheral blood leukocytes, the frequency of chromosomal aberrations in the dividing cells of an onion root, the growth rate of green unicellular algae, and the germination and growth rate of plant seeds.

Another very recent paper about the potential mechanism for the dotted traces found and attributed to “strange radiation”

Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics

    Available online 18 December 2020,

“Strange” particles and micro-sized ball lightning in some electric discharges

    Abstract

When conducting experiments on the electric explosion of titanium foil in water, a “strange” radiation was detected, leaving dotted traces on the film. The velocity of the carriers of this radiation was estimated as 20–40 m/s, and their energy, estimated by the Coulomb drag mechanism, turned out to be equal to 700 MeV. Subsequently, it was found that similar traces are formed at various types of high-current arc discharges, both of artificial and natural origin. Many solutions have been proposed to explain the nature of “strange” radiation, but none of them describes the details of the process of formation of dotted traces. We believe that these traces on the film could appear due to the action of charged micron-sized clusters. The possibility of the existence of clusters in the form of a nucleus from a certain number of similarly charged ions enclosed in a spherical shell of water molecules is shown. The force of the Coulomb repulsion of ions is compensated by the compression force of the shell polarized by the inhomogeneous electric field created by the nuclear charge. As the cluster approaches the surface of the film, a cluster with a small charge separates from it. It is accelerated in the electric field of a “large” cluster to energy of about 1 GeV. Having received a recoil momentum, a large cluster moves away from the film, braking in an inhomogeneous electric field, and then “falls” onto it again, and the process is repeated.

  • A LENR workshop in memory of Dr M Srinivasan

    From: K P Rajeev <[email protected]>

Date: Wed, Dec 23, 2020 at 12:19 PM

    Dear Dr Rothwell,

I am Prof K P Rajeev of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and you

probably remember me as the co-author of late Dr Srinivasan of the

transmutation chapter in the recent "Cold Fusion" book published by

Elsevier in which you also published an article. We have built a small

group at IIT Kanpur to research the LENR phenomena both experimentally

and theoretically. The group includes Prof Pankaj Jain (Theoretical

Astro and High Energy Physics), Prof Raj Ganesh Pala (Chemical

Engineering) and me (Experimental Condensed Matter Physics). We have

also been lucky to get a couple of Ph.D. students.

We would like to hold a workshop on LENR in memory of Dr Srinivasan,

tentatively during the third weekend of January 2021. We envisage an

online workshop with about twelve talks of about 30 minutes duration

followed by a 10 minutes discussion session. We request you to be part

of this workshop and give a talk. We look forward to a positive

response from you. Also, please let us know if you have any other

    suggestions regarding this workshop.

    With best regards

    K P Rajeev

Lattice Confinement Fusion was recently announced by NASA's Glenn research Centre.

It looks like there's more than one way to get at the problem of Fusion.

When scientists saturated metal with Deuterons and bombarded them with Gamma Rays, they found two types nuclear reactions occuring.

    Comparison of AHE data

between H2 and He runs for CNZ7rrr sample

Basically it says they have started to do calibration runs with the same powdered material sample used in “live” runs, but using Helium as control, and comparing the results with the H2 runs. They say it saves time and they have been able to verify the excess watts (between 36 to 59 watts of excess heat, compared to the control runs),and also that they have verified a direct temperature dependence of the excess heat in a range of temperatures starting at 330 C and up to 500 C.

The material seems to handle well the loading / unloading with He and which allows to use the same material sample for different runs (they have already been doing this for a while as we know).

New paper about low energy fusion of DD in solids , it used Mo and Pd.

    https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/er.6356

Low‐energy nuclear fusion reactions in solids: Experiments

    Dimiter Alexandrov

    Summary

Replicable experimental results about low‐energy nuclear fusion reactions based on initially reacting deuterium nuclei giving cold nuclear fusion synthesis of helium (both isotopes 3He and 4He) and energy release as final products are reported in this article. These final products are results of interaction of deuterium with the solids in experimental system including two specimens: molybdenum metal and palladium nanowires. Experimental proofs about cold nuclear fusion synthesis of both 3He and 4He are provided. It reported a correlation between concentration of the generated helium and the measured temperature of the sample holder. It is found that the concentrations of both 3He and 4He increase with increase of the kinetic energies of the interacting deuterium nuclei and also with increase of the temperature of the sample holder.

    Dear everyone,

Firstly, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

2020 has been a tumultuous year for all, and hopefully, we can look towards a brighter future in 2021. I want to take this time to thank those working in the medical industry for their incredible work this year to protect us all; without their ever-rigorous practice, the dystopian situation we are facing now would have taken an even furtherly drastic turn.

Environmentally, as each year passes, our climate imbalance is becoming more and more evident and even leading to the endangerment of our livelihoods. The increase in the number of wildfires worldwide and one of the world's highest temperatures of 54.4℃ being recorded in California are just some signs of the impending threats we will soon face.

Since the industrial revolution, humankind has been burning fossil fuels as a gateway to new futures, but with it, has come a steep price. The mounting environmental issues, along with the uncertain futures of the next generations, have created a need for innovation and creation; there is no future for a civilization that burns limited resources and fossil fuels.

We at Clean Planet believe that now is the time to bring together the best scientific powers and give rise to a civilization that does not need to burn; we want to create the next 'fire.' Over the next year, our team will work hard to put the safe, secure, and innovative hydrogen energy technology into practical use.

We hope 2021 will bring peace, joy, and happiness to the world, and we thank you for your continued support.

    New Energy, New Future.

New blog article written on Medium about cold fusion, I got intrigued enough because the author (she is an astrophysics student) claims Cold Fusion is real, and teases with a new blog where she will say what Cold Fusion is about. (I wonder if she will go the Galushkin thermal runaway side or the Dimitryeva and others way of atomic recombination, or will come up with something new).

Most of the article is a rehash of what we know, but told in a rather positive and hopeful way. The eye catching part is the last two paragraphs:

“ Perhaps what’s most surprising is that this is only one side to the story of cold fusion. It is real. But not in the way the above scientists have so far pursued it. I’ll soon be publishing the second part of the cold fusion story with proof that it is a real, scientifically proven phenomenon.

I hope you’ll join me again for that. Thank you for reading.”

  • 'Of the over 5,000 scientific journals in existence less than 1% are willing to publish any (cold fusion) related content.'

Bending over backwards to be fair, only a handful of papers have been submitted to these 5,000 journals. Most of the editors of the journals probably have no idea cold fusion exists. Editors at Nature and Scientific American know -- or ought to know -- that cold fusion exists, but editors at most of these other journals have probably not read anything or heard anything from cold fusion researchers. It is an obscure subject.

People downloaded 143,913 papers from LENR-CANR.org last year, from 36,502 locations. It is hard to estimate how many people there were, because one person might download many papers, but there are multiple people at many of these locations. There were probably tens of thousands of readers. On the other hand, there are a lot of people in the world, so I suppose it is likely the editors of these 5,000 journals were not among those readers.

I posted a response to the article:

    Greetings.

This article is generally correct, but I disagree with some of your statements. You wrote:

"Their paper went though a limited peer-review process where many experimental mistakes slipped through."

I am not aware of any experimental mistakes in the first paper, or any others. Many people claimed that mistakes were made, but these claims were wrong, as I showed in an extensive review of the first paper and the following papers, here: Review of the calorimetry of Fleischmann and Pons

    https://www.lenr-canr.org/acrobat/RothwellJreviewofth.pdf

There were some typos in the first paper, but these were corrected in the next issue. See:

    https://www.lenr-canr.org/acrobat/Fleischmanelectroche.pdf

"Pons and Fleischmann also refused to release the exact details of their setup to the scientific community."

They did not know exact details. They provided as many as they could. More to the point, the palladium is the most important variable in this experiment, and Fleischmann provided samples of the recommended palladium to many researchers. Johnson-Matthey recommended this palladium to him, and it proved to be the best material for the experiment. He told everyone (including me) all that he knew about the palladium. I described this here:

    https://www.lenr-canr.org/acrobat/RothwellJlessonsfro.pdf

Other types of palladium did work, as you see in the table on p. 6.

"After failing to replicate their original results and provide any further proof of cold fusion . . ."

They did replicate their original results, and they provided much more data, as I described in the paper listed above.
