A small article in Slashdot, about NANOR at MIT (by Hagelstein)

    Quote

MIT Scientists Report Cold Fusion Success with "NANOR" Device
..."[A video] has been posted on Youtube by someone called ‘AlienScientist’ who attended (and filmed) the recent MIT Cold Fusion seminar and reports about what he has learned. He does a very nice job of summarizing the key points from the seminar, pointing out that Peter Hagelstein and Mitchell Swartz mention such things as how the cold fusion reactions can be enhanced by subjecting the cold fusion cell to an external magnetic heat and shining a laser on the cathodes. He also mentions that they say cracking in the metal and rapid gas loading can cause the deuterium to leak out, thus negatively affecting the amount of excess heat produced. The video also includes pointed criticism of the way the scientific community dealt with Pons and Fleischmann 25 years ago, and laments the lost opportunities that could have been realized if more care had been taken in trying to replicate the effect back then....

There is an article on Fusion hot and cold on 21st Century tech:

Energy Update: The State or Lack Thereof of Fusion

    Quote

March 28, 2014 – From an MIT conference held in the last week on cold fusion to the latest refusal to grant a U.S. patent for Andrea Rossi’s E-Cat, to a company developing what it calls dense plasma fusion, the future of cheap, clean, nuclear energy still appears to be a dream with no immediate breakthroughs.
    ...

It talks of MIT conférence, the rejection of Rossi's patent and the delay of Hot fusion...

A moderately openminded negative vision... much above average

Many citation of documents we all know. Homework is done, which is exceptional.

  • RAR Energia, Ltd. claims that it is building a gravity-powered engine in Gilman, Illinois. The engine is supposedly being constructed inside of a building shown in a photograph titled “25/11/2013 - Official picture No. 11” ( http://www.rarenergia.com.br ). Independent confirmation that a new building has been constructed in Gilman can be found in a satellite image available on the TerraServer website. The date of the image is “3/17/2014” and it has a resolution of “0.5m”. The geographic coordinates of the building are latitude N 40.76316 and longitude W 88.01233 ( http://www.terraserver.com/?tid=21&cx=414551&cy=4512934&proj=32616&mpp=0.75&pic=img&prov=dg&stac=17e5442c25ce9c8e0d1e853ba552fc95 ).

Earlier photographs of this location do not show the building so it appears that the building has been recently constructed. Now the question becomes, is there really a gravity-powered engine inside of the new building or is this just another free-energy hoax?

There is some issue.. Something is not mentioned in the report in correct manner..I hope truth will come in front in short duration..

    Reportage from www.energinyheter.se
New support for nuclear reactions at low energy

    Reportage

New tests by Italian inventor Andrea Rossi energy catalyst performed by Swedish researchers give more indications that it may involve nuclear reactions at low energy and Brillouin Energy Corporation has included in the meeting with Statoil.

Elforsk, the Swedish electricity industry joint research and development company, released at the end of 2013, a summary of current knowledge of nuclear reactions at low energy, or LENR (Low Energy Nuclear Reactions) that the phenomenon is also called, where, among other things, found that a dozen companies claiming to be the way to commercialize products based on the contested technology. They have since continued to follow LENR technology development.

Among other things, Elforsk cofinanced new measurements, which in addition to just as before measurements show an unexplained excess energy also shows isotopic changes. The results of the month-long series of measurements on a LENR reactor of the type E-Cat, which is a so-called energy catalyst, published in early October 2014 in a report written by researchers at Uppsala University, the Royal Institute of Technology and the University of Bologna. The report describes a heat development that the researchers can not be explained by chemical reactions. Instead, they argue that the distinct isotopic changes in the analyzed fuel indicate that the case of nuclear reactions at low temperatures. If true, we face a new way to extract nuclear energy, which is probably free from ionizing radiation and radioactive waste, which eventually could have great significance for the world's energy supply.

    E-Cat
The central portion of the energy of catalyst examined consists of a narrow, two inches long tube, filled with approximately one gram of fuel as hydrogen charged nickel powder with certain additives. During the experiments the reactor was at a temperature of up to about 1400 degrees Celsius. The total net energy developed in the form of heat during the experiments was about 1500 kilowatt hours and energy developments were between three and four times that of the supplied electric energy. As energy development was significantly larger than can be accomplished by any known chemical reaction in such a small volume, and because the fuel isotopic composition changed significantly according to the researchers that suggest that nuclear reactions took place during the experiments. However, they are difficult to explain why no radioactivity was detected in this case.

    - In the current situation we do not know if all this is too amazing to be true. The measurement results indicate that a new way to extract nuclear energy may have been discovered. A small group of Swedish researchers are deeply involved in trying to understand the underlying physics. Sweden thus has a unique chance to be involved in leading research and development in the LENR field, says Elforsks CEO Magnus Olofsson, who also points out that more knowledge is needed to understand and explain the phenomenon.

    Brillouin
The US company Brillouin Energy Corporation, which is one of the players with plans for commercialization of LENR technology addressed in Elforsks original knowledge compilation, has also come out with new information.

Robert godes, the company's founder, says he has met with Finnish officials, including former development minister Pekka Haavisto, and representatives from the Norwegian Statoil to discuss his LENR reactor, based on what he calls a controlled electron capture reaction.

Godes also says that oil companies have seen signs of LENR activity in connection with its hydrogenation, which is a problem for them but a good sign for nuclear reactions at low energies.

  • Just saw this on E-Catworld
    http://www.e-catworld.com/2015…ith-plaque-on-1-mw-plant/
Today I received the following message and image from Andrea Rossi:

    “Dear Frank:
I send you the photo of the plate we applied to the 1 MW plant to day,: one year ago prof. Sven Kullander passed away. I would be glad if you publish it in your important blog.
    Warmest Regards,
    Andrea”

It would have been nice to see the plaque mounted in its place of honor on the plant itself, but I don’t think we’ll see a picture of the plant until the testing has been completed and IH and the customer are satisfied with the performance.

Anyway, if the plant is a success, Sven Kullander will have secured a place in E-Cat history with this plaque. His early support of Rossi and his technology (along with his colleague and compatriot Hanno Essen) was important in giving credibility to Andrea Rossi’s claims.

Will LENR plunge the world in a global recession?

“If oil drops below $30 a barrel (now it’s around $44), a global recession is inevitable”, according to a recent survey of investment professionals, performed by ConvergEx Group. More than half those surveyed represented buy-side firms such as asset managers and hedge funds, and about a quarter of them were from sell-side firms such as banks or broker dealers.
