I think that the general design of this Dash and Chicea experiment, with some cleaning up, would be worth doing over.
Some analyses of the electrolyte would be in order, to see what ended up in there.
I saw that a patent regarding the experiment and process was applied for, then abandoned. I guess that it is not likely to be much of a money maker, making things more radioactive.
The foil is a lot more expensive than I thought it would be.
