Hi Robert!
Some things never change.
Just a rush from the past. -
Plus ca change

Interesting news by the magician's YouTube live.
Today at time 11:27 a.m. the magician measured the current supplied to Ecat miniSKLep by PSU using his DMM Peaktech 3430 setted to microAmmeter (maybe the indicated value was 452.5uA ?) connecting it in series to PSU red wire, but as clearly visible he measured when the lamp was OFF during the test.
The lamp returned to be light ON again only after DMM removal and test ended.

- rather worrying how long it took to unclip the red PSU croc clip from the lamp red wire and reclip it onto the meter red wire! (approx 50s !)
- what was happening over at the lamp whilst the arm doing the red wire connection obscured the view?!?
- more than 1 person involved in connecting 2 wires from meter? why?!?
- great positioning of the meter display! - partially obscured by reflection of ceiling light
- interesting change in illumination level of the demo lamp when the room lights came on just before the meter test ...is the room always kept in reduced ambient lighting to 'enhance' the perceived output of the demo lamp?

He's just a clumsy crook good for foolishes and his accomplices.

The weak ambient light is indeed to enhance the illumination effect of the lamp, which is only as bright as a shaded room anyways. Both the overhead lamps and the sunlight diffused through shade and curtains easily overpower the lamp. A lamp which in ordinary circumstances has a highly specified level of illumination power and light distribution intended to be safely used on vehicles travelling over 100 km in the pure dark. Anyone want to try a pair of minisklep powered headlamps on their cars on a winding road in the dark? That thing would barely illuminate a basement enough to find the superior technology known as candles.

I wonder why anyone would keep any level of interest in this sad show.

It is one of a very few kind of closed communities where you can carefully and on longterm history study every nuance on how a guru can fool (himself and) a crowd of followers and believers with simple tricks and garage tinkering. Their major concern is not when and how a real product will come to market, they are eager to swallow brave every new version, Edition, change, experiment, video, demo…but what will happen to his legacy once he will be gone. Who will be entertaining the crowd then ? Frank A.? 😄

For me, it's just tradition.
For a loooong time -

A good question to be routed to Frank A, the boss of ECW and the magician's major accolite.

Be my guest, I haven't visited there in a good while and don't have plans to.

This is supposed to be the day.

No update on ECW yet.

We will connect in series a PeakTech 3430 to measure the amperes showing the decimals after the third zero; the time will be 11.30 a.m. Rome time and we will repeat the measurement at 12.30 p.m. Miami time.
Warm Regards,
A.R.As written here the measure of current has been already done at time 11:27 a.m. Rome time. Maybe will be repeated.
-
And the magician did it again.
The same farce the lamp was clearly OFF during the measure.
-
Hmmm - the Peak Tech 3430 has two uA ranges: 0-220uA & 0-2200uA
The current test must be using the 2200uA range due to the last 4 digits being nn457.3
The display in the 12:30EST test appears to be showing: -1 457.3
So is this indicating -1457.3uA (ie. -1.46mA)? Or is it +457.3uA with some kind of overrange warning?
(The meter does have an 'overload' indication, 'OL', but it appears to relate only to the R, C & Hz ranges)
The meter is being applied red lead (but we can't see to which meter socket Rossi has it connected) to +ve of PSU, so a power drain should indicate a +ve current if no connection mistakes
(I suppose it's just possible that the current could show as negative if there were a battery inside the mini SKLEP - but there would need to be some internal sensing circuitry to switch the led off if the external power is cut. Seems a bit involved)
-
I wonder why anyone
Small minds?

Just for the record, upper right hand corner,
220 V with no ground adapter to PSU.
But looks like - 1592.5 uA to me, even with the light off.
