  • The converted biodiesel power plants might have worked. That was circa 1980’s.

You mean the Petrol Dragon? If so, it probably works, as a technology, as making fuel out of waste is possible by many known processes. The question always remain if it's commercially sustainable.

I certainly Hope to see LENR helping humans to blossom, and I'm here to help it happen.

EON sold them, and they were advertised on the web, so probably more recent than the 80’s.

Perhaps a real engine burning biodiesel (not advertised as being from anywhere in particular) helped along the oil from waste story, I dunno.
Mr. Krivit has an image in the chronology somewhere.

  • Abd Lomax who covered the Rossi vs Darden Case extensively said they purchased Rossi I.P. but gave it up because they decided it was worthless.

Let us just decode that. Rossi claimed an easy to build reactor (the Lugano reactor) which when loaded with secret sauce fuel from Rossi would deliver COP=3.

    • IH relied on reports from 6 scientists doing a long test of this reactor, and paid Rossi $10M for the IP of how to build these wonder reactors and load them.
    • That was after a less convincing but also positive report from the same scientists testing (different) Rossi reactors.
    • The Rossi IP was how to make this Lugano reactor and its fuel. IH replicated it.
    • IH were happy - the reactor delivered a stable COP=3 (could be made higher by upping the temperature).
    • They built lots of them.
    • Then, one day, IH forgot to fill some of these reactors with the fuel. They were blanks. They tested them with a set of real reactors (thinking they were real) and discovered the same COP = 3.
    • IH were unhappy - but sure Rossi could explain the inconsistency. They called him in. He refused, saying that they must be wrong.
    • Some time after (late to because they paid no attention to this) IH realised that Rossi's/Levi's testing protocol - incorrectly using IR thermography as championed by Levi (one of the 6 scientists - Rossi's long-standing friend - but no IR thermography expert as clear from his conflation of total emissivity and band emissivity) was exactly calibrated to deliver apparent COP = 3 or above from COP=1 Rossi's reactors (painted with Al2O3 paint).
    • Rossi started the long term test scam, and then on the basis of that sued IH for the money that IH said they would pay if his devices worked.
    • This is all long past background - it explains why IH view the Rossi IP as being not worth much.

The Lugano test was an additional test and was about 2 years after signing likely as a distraction to the Plant which needed a complete refit after arriving many months after being purchased.

IH built three Lugano reactors, one of which broke early in the test. The second was used for the main test. The third ‘disappeared’. Dameron was the IH engineer that built the actual device, and his name on the patent as co inventor infuriated Rossi. The Durapot alumina cement used discolours and obtains a dusty black coating upon moderate-high heating (600-900 C). At sustained very high temperatures (> 900 C) this coating eventually burns off. Probably the used device would be fairly ugly for display to the public and investors if it was not painted.

You need to write a book about IH/Rossi. That was one hell of a story, and no one knows it better than you. I kept plenty notes, and once in a while read through them. Say what you will about the man, but he had chutzpah. Almost sad to observe him nowadays trying to convince with his pathetic little devices, as compared to his heyday of Petroldragon/Doral proportions.

He was even the Chief Scientist or something like that for International Heat, for a while.

    … maybe two + years!

When will start the advertising on Twitter you talked about ?

Twitter ads are tweets with a "promoted" tag at bottom left. I haven't seen any yet, and I bet there are none.

Another observation: the view count for the regular tweets is pretty poor, 1000-2000 (even that is hard to believe), but one tweet has 195.853 impressions.

yes, must have been late '80s 'cause the Italian Senate investigation into Rossi's activities with PetrolDragon produced their report in '90/'91 (see attached)

The invention might have worked... if it had been a valid concept!

It appears that AR's father built and operated an Incinerator business (in Milan?), early days

AR initially received an Italian master of philosophy degree at Milan uni.; he later bought himself a degree in chemical engineering from a Californian degree mill (later shutdown by the Govt.)

AR claimed to invent a waste-to-fuel process, based on ...incinerator tech; he built a demo unit at a medical facility, to 'process' their waste. The business supposedly had 2 full-time employees (incl. AR?), and approx 16 local people under contract

When the the Italian Senate investigation visited, they found a shed containing 3 units: only one was operational, the other 2 were 'for sale'

According to the hospital, the operation appeared to operate with only a couple of people hanging around the incinerator, throwing in the hospital waste when it arrived. No fuel production whatsoever

The Senate were not pleased that AR had shafted the Italian Business Incentive Scheme for several million pounds to produce an eco-friendly waste rehabilitation process and instead, pocketed the money and built a bonfire in a metal can

AR was subsequently tried and convicted

He absconded to the US and subsequently, operating a company later renamed Leonardo Technologies Inc., he won a contract to supply the DoD with Thermal Electric Generators, producing outputs which were supposedly 'an order of magnitude increase in power generation' compared to existing tech

    ...but that's another story!

You are almost sad and I am almost glad if proven device works

    as advertised.

I can’t believe the Hogwarts hackers haven’t been building these for years. Pretty much an LED on stick with a pair of wires down the middle. Just wave it near a wireless charger, or anything electrically noisy. Christmas presents all set now…

....has to ask a potential customer what the phrase '"mounting configurations" means:

What do you mean exactly with “mounting configurations” ?

    Steven Nicholes Karels

The SKLep SSM 100W unit needs to be secured to a surface, so it doesn’t become loose when transported, etc. Typical applications might include a set of dimensionally defined threaded screw holes to accept a machine screw to mate the unit to a plane surface. Think of OEM power supplies that have mounting holes

...but all is well in the end because, although no provision was made for such an unusual arrangement, it can be added if anyone wants

    Thank you for the explication.

Presently the Ecat is designed to be settled upon a surface, or a rack, but it is possible to add standard mounting holes.
