Be careful clicking on the link Jed Rothwell posted in this thread. As I clicked, my Android device was being attacked by a quite sophisticated malware.
LFH Sam - Jed doesn't know anything about "Blackwater Security" because you're posting fiction. Why?
My company's firewall won't let me near acidcow.com. It says it's a known malware source.
That can happen when a site is hacked, and it then goes on lists, and then a firewall may reject it. However, it doesn't mean that the problem actually remained. And especially, in this case, it casts no suspicion on the one who told Jed about something of interest there.
LFH Sam - you go first. Where did you get the ridiculous "Blackwater Security" post from? Very Rossi-esk along with some of your other verbosity.
I do not say that JED was the source of the malware. But somebody related to him run an obvious attack to different platforms.
My MAC launched the following process a had to kill manually!
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/PhotoLibraryPrivate.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/PhotoLibraryServices.framework/Versions/A/XPCServices/com.apple.photomodel.xpc/Contents...
The standard process has the following name:
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/PhotoLibraryPrivate.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/PhotoLibraryServices.framework/Versions/A/XPCServices/com.apple.photomoments.xpc/Contents/MacOS/com.apple.photomoments
But now, after Dewey commented the story, we must assume that the attack run via Jed's post was payed by related peoples!
