LENRIA BEGINS THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE 2017 LENR INTERNATIONAL CALENDAR
Consistent with the 2016 Calendar Currently Available, Aim is to Unify Global LENR Community and Showcase the Growing Viability of the Field
FALLS CHURCH, VA, JULY 28, 2016 – The 2nd edition of the LENRIA International LENR Calendar covering 2017 will again be produced and published by LENRIA, the Industrial Association for LENR. The 2017 calendar is currently in development following the success of the well regarded and widely distributed 2016 version.
The LENR International Calendar highlights global research and events in the field. The 2016 edition featured submitted illustrations from China, France, India, Italy, Japan and the U.S., and the upcoming calendar aims to showcase even greater geographical diversity. LENRIA is beginning outreach to invited participants in the coming weeks.
Just as for 2016, the 2017 calendar will contain illustrations and highlights from an international constituency of laboratories, researchers and companies, and will showcase the wide-ranging level of activity that spans from academia to industry, and from government and national agencies to private sector institutions.
The annual calendar, which has evolved with each publication since its inception in 2014, represents one component of a continuing and persistent effort by LENRIA to achieve greater scientific and public awareness of this potential ultra-clean, low-cost energy source. The 2017 calendar is the 2nd edition published by LENRIA, and the fourth in a series initially begun by Ruby Carat of Cold Fusion Now.
LENRIA distributed copies of the 2016 edition of the LENR International Calendar to each member of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, as well as to all committees and offices in the Congress. Over 1,000 calendars were delivered to legislators and government officials in the U.S. alone. Additional copies were distributed to those working on LENR around the world, including those in national laboratories, government, industry and academia. An essential part of the distribution was conducted by Infinite Energy Magazine
who sent copies to its subscribers and supporters. More than 3,000 hard copies of the 2016 LENRIA calendar were printed along with a frequently accessed electronic version.
The calendar’s aim is not simply to catalogue the developments of a revolutionary technology. LENRIA sees it as one component of a campaign to educate policy-makers on the science and potential of LENR, fueled by diligent distribution of such materials.
David Nagel, co-founder of LENRIA, expresses hope that some of the members of Congress and committees with responsibilities for energy will take note of LENR as a result of having the calendars.
“As we move closer to an engineered commercial device,” stated Nagel, “legislation should expedite the roll-out of a much-needed new, clean and distributed energy generators. Funded research programs, and tax incentives would speed development and acceptance of LENR technology.”
In addition to informing lawmakers, the calendar aims to generate a greater awareness of the advancing status of the field to a range of constituencies including the public, media, government agencies, the business community, and the scientific establishment.
“Just as our current 2016 LENRIA International Calendar does, the 2017 edition shall demonstrate the global nature of the serious work being done in the field of LENR in the U.S. and in countries around the world,” said LENRIA co-founder Steve Katinsky. “We are producing the calendar with the interim goal of facilitating an overdue inflection point for perception of the field, and to foster a sense of community among a geographically diverse group of researchers and commercial enterprises who are pursuing the science and useful applications.”
Dates in the LENRIA calendar include historical and scientific facts from the LENR field prepared by Rudy Carat. The initial basis for the chronology is the timeline published by Eugene Mallove in the March/April issue of Infinite Energy Magazine. Since 2012, Carat has been adding to that log, assembling a database of events that will one day create a full timeline of the field.
The 2016 calendar, which spans through February of next year, can be ordered by going to coldfusionnow.org or infinite-energy.com. An electronic version can be downloaded at lenria.org. The 2017 calendar will be available via these sources once published later this year.
The 2016 calendar is designed by Ruby Carat with Steve Katinsky and published by LENRIA.
