Description
Due to the current success of renewable energy we would almost forget that also done research for more than 50 years of fusion as a clean and inexhaustible alternative energy source. The large and therefore known projects ITER and Wendelstein 7-X, where the fusion of hydrogen particles into helium must take place in a plasma at extremely high temperatures.
Much less known is the cold fusion or LENR (Low Energy Nuclear Reactions). Main cause of this ignorance are the small scale and limited budgets of this study. Nevertheless, there is report this year on this front interesting news, from "E-Cat. This is a patented cold-fusion reactor of the Italian engineer Andrea Rossi, on hydrogen, lithium and nickel powder (catalyst) is running. He completed an endurance test in February 2016 when an American customer with a plant of 1 MW, with more than 50x supplied the amount of energy as it was tucked to keep the process going.
Meanwhile announced the first results of this research. The speaker this evening, Marc Ellenbroek, following these developments for quite some time. He will discuss the technology, history, test results and expectations for the future.Following will be room for questions, substantive discussion and a networking reception.
