Rossi-Blog Comment Discussion

  • Well, there is plenty of content here whose connection to LENR cannot even rise to the level of tenuous and can only be described as total fringe science. I am not going to be more specific because anything that appears here that isn’t in the category of skepticism is treated with kid gloves and I don’t want to upset any sensitive souls. If you truly don’t know what I am talking about, then it is far from being my place to disrupt your world view. Carry on.

Well, there is plenty of content here whose connection to LENR cannot even rise to the level of tenuous and can only be described as total fringe science.

It seems we will not find a way to explain LENR via the SM, so we have to be open to "out of the box" thinking, or fringe ideas. And yes, there are a few who take it to the "total fringe", but if we pressure them, it will put a damper on the others who are more well grounded.

  • Rossi will probably never stop his efforts to defraud and con investors. If, when they search for "Andrea Rossi," some investors find this forum and ask questions, they may be rapidly disabused of the idea of investing with him. That and eschewing censorship are reasons to maintain one (and only one) Rossi thread.

Ridiculous argument: Interested parties will still be able to find these threads with a search engine, locked or not.

  • Well if they do search I will post this

Rossi blog comment that this could

be an historic day for Rossi.

I do not want Lenr Forum to miss it

a blog I have gotten to like.

      Dr Joseph Fine:

Thank you very much, I am glad to wish you, your family and to all our American Readers a Happy Thanksgiving. If tomorrow we will get what I hope, this year I will have a special reason to thank God.

      Warm Regards,

      A.R.

      Dear Dr. Rossi,

we are all in suspense waiting to hear that you have opened the bottle of Champagne.

      Kind Regards

      Italo R.:

Today has been very good. Tomorrow we will decide if we can uncork. We are extremely advanced and working night and day.

      Warm Regards,

  • I don't find much now of interest in this Rossi thread - it has all been said, and again, and again...

However I strongly dislike censorship. ECW applies Rossi censorship to an extraordinary degree, discouraging anyone with two neurons to rub together from posting there. This site has always served as a counterweight to that and a preventative against the Rossi cult historical revisionism that will no doubt flourish from time to time.

I see no problem with too many posts if they are all in one thread.

As in politics, if one censors minority and distasteful views they will only be strengthened and come back to bite. Rossi and IH serve as a lesson that was hard fought and will apply long into the future if it is not forgotten. Let us keep it alive.

It also keeps the skeptics on there toes.

  • To be clear, I don't think that Rossi threads need to be kept because they contain anything great. I just think that eliminating threads because they somehow don't present a nice appearance is bad policy. I am seeing threads either disappearing or or being throttled down on this forum because someone influential doesn't like them (I'm thinking of the Atom-Ecology thread and one of the the Mizuno threads). This is a slippery slope and the effect is made all that much more ironic as lachrymose complaints about how LENR is excluded from mainstream science proliferate.

Keeping a Rossi thread active, but putting it in a part of the site that doesn't compete with other threads for attention, will allow the forum to solve perception problems without adding to the poor precedent of tanking threads that are not favoured.

    Margaret Malueg:

The team working today with me is composed by:

two electronic engineers ( of which one is a woman ), one electrotechnic engineer, one mechanic engineer, one electronic soldering specialist, one worker, plus me.

    Warm Regards,

    A.R.

This is actually believable in a sense that there are: Rossi who just blogs, 4 engineers, a soldering guy, and one person without a degree who actually works.

So where is the excitement in the mainstream media? The world will be saved in about 8 hours! Sam have you rented out the hall for your celebration yet?

I hope it is like new years TV coverage where they pan around the world showing famous sites like the Eiffel Tower, St, Peters Square, and Taj Mahal,

with fireworks in the background and closeups of the couples in the audience deep tongue kissing each other.

  • I am seeing threads either disappearing or or being throttled down on this forum because someone influential doesn't like them (I'm thinking of the Atom-Ecology thread and one of the the Mizuno threads).

I think the author of the Atom-Ecology thread wanted it gone. I do not know if it is customary to give authors editorial control here. I don't know which Mizuno discussion you mean, but Mizuno & I have no objection to any of them.

I have no opinion about whether Rossi discussions should be throttled or banned.

  • ..and perhaps he will present his world changing invention soon?

    Cheers,

    JB

The probability that he will present something is high. What this "something" really is, well, this is an another question.

    Dear Andrea,

my best wishes for a complete success today: the world will no longer be the same!

If you want to give a public presentation of your new astunding technology, please consider Feb 2nd, 2020.

It’s a nice palindrome date (02.02.2020), easy to remember in history books !

    Sparkling Regards,

    Riccardo
