Rossi-Blog Comment Discussion

  • No, Rossi is not fooling me anymore. Not since 2011.

"Showdown" as what I mean with the original meaning from playing poker. Not the duel meaning, to end a conflict with a spectacular happening.

Showdown in German is more to that: lay down your cards on the table, show what you have got on your hand.

So Rossi will show his new HomeDepot-Reactor thingie, with blinky, blinky.

But he won't win the jackpot.

    Ahhh,

    Ich verstehe

  • How hard is it to put on a show like this? Creating a plasma is definitely no problem (for instance every fluorescent light contains a plasma). Does anyone know how hard it is to create balls of light and flashes etc?

By the way, my questions are sincere. I'm no expert on plasmas and I genuinely don't know how easy or hard it is to get impressive effects with them. Does anyone know?

      Good morning.

Andrea, I do not know anything about January 31st presentation. Nevertheless, I am asking you a “favour”: should you plan to have (in this presentation)a phase change of a coolant fluid, please manage to gauge steam phase quality. Just to silence critics and avoid lenghty (and pointless) discussions in the aftermath.

      With all my best wishes,

      Carlo

It is time for LENR to exit the frogs pond and look at the business ocean, where commercial results are the meter of facts. The aftermath that counts for us are the contracts to sell heat, not the chatters of a bunch of imbeciles.

Another classic "tell" or hallmark of a scam. Selling something doesn't prove that it works. It's too easy to fool people, at least for a while. It's easy to find magnetic motors, HHO kits, astrology manuals, quack medical devices and all sorts of crap which doesn't work for sale on eBay, by mail order, on the internet, at seminars, etc. etc.

More important, having something for sale is never necessary to prove that a concept or a technology works. Rossi statement is yet another application of the Nigerian Scam Principle which is that you are not angling for smart people if you are selling a con.

  • Mats Lewan comment from ECW.

Attaboy, I have a long experience covering startups and innovation based companies as a technology journalist. Most inventors suffer of the desire to do everything by themselves, to never think that the product is ready for market since it can be improved further, and then to think that a good product sells itself. I know the traps.

But in this case it's just a fact that what Rossi had a year ago was still not anything you could put in the hands of a customer, not even a specialised and trained industrial customer.

In my opinion, one of the reasons that IH never managed to get the E-Cat work, even though they might have had all the secret information, is that the E-Cat was still so unstable that it needed Rossi to be present with his long and deep experience of its characteristics in order to work. Simple as that.

And still a year ago, the E-Cat QX was just an early prototype, but at last getting close to something that could function autonomously, without Rossi. Then it took a year to industrialise it, and also increase the output power about a thousand times. That's not bad.

In other words, in my opinion, industrialisation couldn't have happened earlier.

Remember this is new physics. Brand new.

How can it be a scam when the customer only pays a 20 percent

    reduced heating bill?

  • Complete, total, unadulterated bovine excrement, Sam. Not a word of it is true. What does "unstable" even mean in this context? What magic did Rossi need to have to control a simple tube furnace heated by mains power? You can increase the output power a million times. Zero times a million is still zero. This is new physics like Enron was new finance.

  • The word "industrialized" being thrown around means absolutely nothing. Anyone using that word has been suckered into Rossi's scam attempt to distract from the fact that he can't show it works, so he can skip that unecessary step and self-annoint it with this BS industrialized label. Anyone using that word to describe it is a fool.

Vessy Nikolova, author of "Ecat The New Fire", put this out the other day about the upcoming demo. At the end, she links to the Cassarino deposition (Rossi's AmpEnergo partner) from the court documents, and asks you to read it. IMO, it makes Rossi look bad, so I am curious why she would ask for anyone to read it. She obviously admires the man. She must think it makes Rossi look good, and IH bad. Anyone else read it, and see it her way?

Vessy always looks good to me.

She is the Italian stallion woman.

As for the Court Documents they

are what they are and part of the

    Rossi story.

  • Two more Mats Lewan recent comments from ECW.

    1)

Attaboy, obviously very little of the daily work of Rossi has been exposed publicly. Yet, in every description, you have probably noticed Rossi's continuous presence.

As for the science part, the phenomenon is clearly unstable since LENR researchers apparently always have had great difficulties to repeat the effect, and essentially never at a high (kW) power level, a part from a few reported incidents (e.g. F&P discovering in the morning that their experiment had made a deep hole in the concrete floor)—obviously not controlled.

If you read my book you will also find descriptions of when the reaction is highly unstable, as e.g. the 1MW test in 2011. And I can add my own impressions of every time I have seen Rossi start the reactor, which has been the most delicate phase since you have to push the reaction harder to trigger it, while thereby risking pushing it too far, building up a runaway that destroys the reactor.

As for new physics, I don't think that the mechanisms in chemistry that you refer to can be compared to a situation where we don't even know for sure which kind of elementary particles are involved in the reaction.

The reason I think that the reaction is now stable enough to be used in a commercial product is that Rossi tells me so—and so far he has never stated things clearly to me that later turned out to be false—and that he is planning to present his detailed commercial plans in ten days, for the first time ever. Also because I have a vague understanding, as an engineer, of the control problem and how it has been solved.

So believe me, this couldn't have been launched commercially earlier.

BTW—thanks for your comments! They are valuable input to me in order to understand what I need to explain clearly when I will write a few new chapters in my book to complete the story.

    2)

That is true Pekka, Rossi was not present all the time, but believe me, without his long daily (or nightly) presence, the plant would never have continued to operate. As far as I know, there were continuous issues, at least after some months. Meanwhile, studying the reactors in detail during operation, Rossi also came up with the ideas that led to the development of the QX, which now has been evolved into the SK.

    Corrected for you:

That is true Pekka, Rossi was not present all the time, but believe me, without his long daily (or nightly) presence, the plant would never have continued to seem to operate.

Of course, the semblance was pretty loose, anyone technical looking at the reported dats in Penon's report would be highly suspicious.
