   These numbers would be considered a great success for publications of main Professors of nuclear physics after a career. You got these numbers after less than 5 months.

I am sure there are other “supporters” who help him out...

More Researchgate readers showing an interest in Rossi's brand of LENR can't be a bad thing - it may interest them sufficiently to study it further regardless whether they accept his ideas and research or not - most rational people would try to find evidence disproving his theories so good news for LENR I think on the whole.

I'm not certain about ResearchGate but on many social apps including Twitter, facebook and Instagram, you can buy clicks, as many as you want, for not much money. At least two strategies are employed. One uses third world labor (often Nigerian) to actually click but the most common involves bots. The services try to circumvent these but they don't do very well so I am pretty sure ResearchGate with limited resources, is vulnerable.

Shure, you can buy "clicks" aka "page requested from client <IP>: counts as "page visited"

You can also buy/count "Document requested for download from client <IP>: counts as "doc downloaded"

That's all countabe!

But: "Full readings" is IMHO something you can't count.

You simply can not measure, if an entity realy reads a page or a downloaded document.

Dear Andrea Rossi,

It seems that you are pursuing a commercial path that provides a service, the generation of heat and possibly electricity, without clearly demonstrating the technology behind the service. You have done demonstrations that show the effect but these are subject to criticisms.

Can you clearly tell us why the following could or should not be done? Using one of your mature technologies, run an eCat reactor that produces enough thermal energy to heat low efficiency electrical power converters to produce electricity, conduct the electricity to a battery, invert the battery power to AC power and use the AC power to run your controller unit. Suspend this on non-conducting cables (so it is not sitting on anything and cannot be secretly powered) and power a light and let it run for some long period of time with free inspections by independent observers – look but do not disassemble/touch. Perhaps boil water with the waste (unused) heat. If it continues a sufficiently long period of time to exclude a chemical means of energy generation, you would prove the technology to the public. The scientific community would take notice but would remain skeptical until they did replications/independent testing. But business people are not scientists.

   then why must he quibble about its underlying science?

That answer by Iggy is terrible.

The proof of the pudding is in not the science of making pudding.

But if it is vanilla pudding, then it shouldn’t look and taste like shit pie.

American utility customers demand extremely high levels of safety and reliability, which can only be achieved by utility companies with encyclopedic knowledge of electricity, and the generators, and the physical processes in the generators. American customers and regulators would never allow a generator that works by mysterious processes that appear to be nuclear reactions.

So the answer is that the customers may not "demand to understand" themselves, but they do demand the utility companies understand the science. Assuming Rossi's claims are real, no one understands them, and no regulator in the First World would allow large scale use of them.

   And counting.

   These are not numbers that an average professor achieves in a career lifespan, these are numbers that few professors achieve in all the world.

I can hardly wait for the Researchgate investigation to be completed.

Notice that Rossi hasn't claimed certification for his SK on JoNP for quite some time.

I always liken Rossi to Elastigirl - except what he stretches is the truth and often to breaking point.

sam12 You have been here a while now and can compare Rossi's PR 12 months ago with what he is saying now, and the 100% guaranteed lack of any hard evidence.

Are you feeling more or less confident that he is for real?

Rossi uses language in a very specific way. He applies primary process thinking, where when things are strongly associated they are the same. Thus a researchgate report implying one aspect of safety (no observed ionising radiation) and some sort of "my factory is safe" certification (easy to get - Rossi has got it before) = "the SK is safety certified".

The beauty of this is that it is all sort of true - just very very misleading and avoiding the point. In the past Rossi has avoided regulatory inconveniences like permits for dumping waste and I fully expect that he really does not care about compliance with regulations as long as he can get away with it. Since he does not actually do very much, and what he does is shrouded in secrecy, I imagine he finds that quite easy.
