Rossi-Blog Comment Discussion

  • The main mistake of physicists is warmth, such accuracy why is necessary? Cold nuclear synthesis can take place without big temperature, but can give a lot of electricity without supply of steam on the generator blade for its rotation! Look for the spherical and linear lightnings creating a tornado and plasma! The geology prompts to us a way to new energy!

  • @Adrian Ashfield ,

Lambert' cosine law shows that the curved surface of a cylinder will have the same radiance as viewed from any angle, so the cylinder edges appear to the IR camera to have the same temperature as the center (if it is isothermal to start with). Surface roughness, reflectivity, and the detector pixel size relative to the subtended steradian view area will modify this, but mostly at extremely oblique angles, so that won't affect the temperature reported by the camera very much unless the object is very small relative to the view area.

Lambert's cosine law is why the moon edges appear as bright as the center, for example.

That's what we thought at first, but not what we found in practice with concave surfaces. The surfaces were covered with a thin layer of mold "dope", consisting of oils and graphite, that may also have had something to do with it. As this turned out not to be the problem we moved on to other areas and didn't investigate it further.

There was (is?) a lot of mythology in glass container production and we set out to quantify the problems scientifically.

  • @Adrian Ashfield ,

Concave surfaces have the extra complication of re-absorption and possible reflection of emitted light, but reduced reflection from external sources (by blocking part of the incident angles), which should be nearly impossible in a convex or flat surface, which emit hemispherically from a diffuse surface. Typically this ultimately increases the emissivity, and that could possibly occur unevenly over the surface depending on the foci of the concave surface.

An engine would be great addition to the system. It is hard to fake actual Work

Really? When your rig, like Rossi's previous ones, is connected to a mains power supply or a giant Diesel-engine-powered generator?

What work was witnessed being performed? Maybe-steam-making? LOL.

Perhaps the very special lifting of water in the condensate lines against "condensation" vacuum and without the use of pressure, but that required far less than 470 kWh anyway.

Spinning an engine with heat of a million tiny bulbs will be entertaining if nothing else.

  • Rossi and his lame and misnamed blog have been an obvious joke since his so-called megawatt plant so-called demo in Nov of 2011 when he trotted out his phony "NATO colonel" (nonexistent) customer representative. Anyone taking him seriously after that fiasco needs the gullibility part of their head examined.

Then IH came along. There were many such as myself that extended the benefit of the doubt until they had their say. That seemed reasonable at the time. After Rossi's cheap stage production at the 28 Oct 2011 demo, they (IH) appeared to be the adults coming to the rescue to bring some discipline, along with a serious scientific airing out of his Ecat.

I thought that they would know shortly the efficacy, and make it public. So as the months stretched to 2 years, one could not help but take heart that they must be seeing something good. Then, when the 1 year Doral test was announced (by Rossi), well...why would IH go along unless things were looking real good?

Now, in hindsight, thanks to the court documents, we know that IH entered the partnership wholly unprepared for someone such as a Rossi. So do not blame those like me for staying neutral after that 2011 demo. It is all IH/Dewey's fault. :)
