Why do people here think anyone can ask Rossi questions about the litigation? I've seen this weird assumption repeated over and over.

@Jed,
Can you post a pic of the clouds? I'm not even sure how Para got this photo. My google street view from April 2015 shows construction all along that street. Para's doesn't. It is definitely the same window, I just can't seem to get Para's view.

You missed the point. We cannot ask Rossi, and we cannot ask I.H. Demanding photos from I.H. is as unreasonable as demanding them from Rossi.
In point of fact, I.H. provided far more information over the last year, and the information that did finally come out, such as Penon's report published by Rossi, proved that Rossi has been lying through his teeth the whole time.

Go to the street view, set the date, and rotate the view 180 degrees to see the clouds. Here:
https://www.google.com/maps/@2…0000!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
Rotate it back to see the building.
Dollars to donuts you will accuse me of faking that, so start here and do it yourself:
https://www.google.com/maps/@2…,204m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en
Now you will tell us that Google is not to be trusted and they are part of a conspiracy to make Rossi look wrong.

@Jed,
Your link leads to the exact same view that I have: with construction. Para's view has no construction. In Para's view, the construction warning lights are thrown up on the grass, like the construction has been completed. Does your view show the construction in the road, or does it show the construction warning lights up on the grass?

As I already explained to Dewey, there are two traffic lanes to look from. The far lane was taken later on in the day (or later in the week, or month) so the workers and trucks were gone.
-
You can get to a really similar view to P's by turning 180 degrees from Jed's first link and then sliding to the left several times:
Note the similar cars on both sides of the parking lot, although the truck is missing from P's version. It looks like the images were taken at different times, but not too far apart.

-
But why does it matter if this view is slightly different from P's if there's clearly a window in the link I posted? I think the detail presently at issue, if we allow the April 2015 date, is whether there was glass in the windows at that time. It seems there was, in both Jed's and P's views. The only remaining question I suppose would be whether April 2015 is correct, which supposedly a subpoena will be needed to clear up.
-
Para, can you post a link that gets me to your view? For the life of me, I can't seem to get there.
What, and show the URL with the month and year embedded in it?
Just drop the little street view person on the far lane across from the building and turn around.
Then go up and down the street, and pan a bit, to find a nice angle.
-
Eric,
The immediate question being debated is whether the window shows a reflection or something else. In the view where the construction is in the street, I would say it is indeterminate whether the panes are present or not. In Para's view, there appears to either be a reflection or something coming out of the window like steam. Jed says it is a reflection of the clouds, but (in a sort of funny way) I think he was using the view that shows the construction in the street (which is probably why he hasn't responded to me).

@Shan ye,
Good to be back. Glad you felt it necessary to at least comment on my comments.
IHFB,
I am also glad you are back. Regardless of the side if I see someone stomping someones ideas here I try to step up. This is not bullshaite. If someone leaves here we all lose.
But your arguments are beyond the RossiSays they carry both weight and purpose. I had to look to see when you commented last since you were busy elsewhere. So welcome back! Your challenges are the best that we as a group have in my opinion.
Maybe there is something to be said that we are pushing the Rossi believers away.
I honestly think---- that it is no longer worth pursuing how 1 MW of heat left the plant. Nothing that I can imagine can come up with that heat sink.
Can you think of how the heat was dissipated? What are the real questions in your mind we should be looking at?
//Please if you can look at post #4303
-
Good to be back, although my time will be limited going forward. This is such a draw for me though because I love a good mystery. I think the dissipation of the ~1 MW of heat energy is possible. Those who say otherwise have not followed the varying view points very closely. Whether the heat exchanger existed or not is a central question. Whether the flow meter was positioned above or below the pipe inlet is another central question. IH could easily swing me to their side if they could prove that the heat exchanger never existed and/or that the flow meter was positioned above the inlet.

Try this one:

@Para,
Finally was able to get your view with some serious finagling around. I must say, dropping that guy onto the lane was kind of fun. And looking up into the sky, the clouds looking nothing to me like what is apparently coming out of the window, except that they are both white and look like water vapor.
-
-
I will try another way, please help me out here everyone. If that window is expelling even 0.25 MW of heat/steam where is the stain around the exit point from the inevitable exothermic condensation in Miami over a period of 350 days. This does not make sense. Things stain when exposed, even stainless will have a backwash.
-
@Para,
How would palm branches be reflected at that angle? It doesn't look like palm branches to me at all.
-
See Palm reflection much clearer in 2014, same window.
