Energoniva - a water plasma transmutation technology from Russia

  • Energoniva (Энергонива in Russian) technology is typical Russian invention of postSoviet era with all its pros and cons. It passed lenr-forum unnoticed, it has no page at Wikipedia and even YouTube search doesn't return any info in English. All relevant information you can find therefore exist in Russian language only. But I believe, it deserves a close attention of the Western world - because if it would work, it could make our Universe a very comfortable place to live. The Energoniva technology has been developed in 1994 - 97 years in formerly closed industrial city Magnitogorsk with two scientists: A.B. Вачаев (1936 - 2000) and Н.И. Иванов (16.12.1924 – 19.03.2010) (A.V. Vachayev and N.I. Ivanov in common transcription). The original research lab has been already closed in 2010 and the best available info about it you can find on the web is here.

The principle of Energoniva technology is very simple and it consists of transmutation of water in plasma discharge. The simple experiment should demonstrate, that this technology work, if you discharge the high voltage (2 - 10 kV) capacitor with copper electrodes attached beneath surface of water. Usually a black cloud of suspension gets formed and you should be able to prove the formation of iron, manganese and many other elements in it. But Vachayev managed to control the reaction in continuous arrangement in high-frequency plasma arc. And not only this - he managed to recycle most of electricity input, so that the reactor produced energy in self-sustained mode in similar way, like the SunCell reactor of Randell Mill. After all, both technologies could have many things in common. Vachayev was able to produce quite remarkable amount of metallic dust, which has been later smelted into an ingots and analyzed in bulk (see the picture above).

Thank you for posting this find Zephir_AWT. Very interesting indeed. This particular document from your link seems to translate reasonably well via google.

At a first quick read this looks rather like a watery version of BLP's light show- but with direct electricity production. If I can find time (and I am under much pressure on that front ATM) I would like to produce a clearer and more readable version.

It seems related, but different, to three famous Russian domain of researsch.
One is the Bahzutov protocole, similar to Mizuno but polarity inverted.
One is the wires explosion research.
One is the Heterogeneous plasmoid as studied by klimov
I cannot judge of the solidity of the data, but it looks related.

Recently I found an overview Paper describing mainly all Ukrainian work sind 1967. They discoverd cold fusion effects many years before P and F and faced the same opposition (from Moskow) like P and F...

Now this write-up looks like the same mess, we have after 25 years of unsupported and disturbed research.

The stories about Enerogoniva say that one day when the researchers were trying to rebuild the reactor they lost an ability to have self-sustained plasmoid. Ever since all rectors are working in impulse mode cop < 1.
There are people in Russia who got access to Vachaev lab records who tried but failed to reproduce. His daughter wrote PhD thesis on that but would refuse to cooperate for reasons unknown.

  • I already looked at few Energoniva replications, but none of them was very thorough / complete. The original system did contain four electrodes inside the coil, generating magnetic field and initiating HF discharge with HV impulse and high voltage capacitor, keeping the system in resonance at ~ 150 MHz. It also seems, that the system should have certain minimal size for being able to work well and it must form toroidal pinch between main electrodes, otherwise the radiative loses would be too high for to keep the reactor in self-sustaining mode. But I'm primarily interested, whether Energoniva it's able of some transmutation: if yes, then the energy of reaction would be high enough for to utilize the waste heat even without electric closed loop. The reaction products did also contain quite substantial amount of rare metals.

Worth mentioning that Vachaev worked in the metallurgical research field. That is why the focus was on obtaining metals. Allegedly up to 40% of water was converted into powder any time they managed to light up plasmoid for extended time (minutes). Currently there are some attempts to use cascading reactors in impulse mode (up to 2% conversion) to process liquid radioactive waste.
The group represented by Prosvirnov (video is on http://lenr.seplm.ru/) were looking for funds to attempt replication. There are few other individuals trying the same, one of them is on the video posted above.

They did reportedly run reactor for whole two days in selfsustained mode. But they also reportedly prepared many kilograms of metallic dust during it - which is very strange, given the enthalpy of most nuclear reactions. They would vaporize whole Magnitogorsk multiple-times, if they would manage to transmute such large amount of material. Therefore the bullshit indicator level remains very high here.

I'm wondering if there is a precessional vorticity factor in these plasmoid experiments that is hard to duplicate.

Could be everything imagine how many different combinations they could have for:
    - current profile on two pairs of electrodes and the coil, parameters of the magnetic field
    - parameters of the water flow
    - chemical composition of water itself. You get water from the tap but who knows what was stored in the used tank before (every r&d facility in Russia usually has defence research programs)
I repeat that the effect was lost when they did biggest mistake of their lives. when the project started to get attention from higher up their boss ask them to improve the looks of the apparatus (loose wires etc). For that they disassembled existing and only working prototype and were never able to get new machine running in self-sustained mode.

One more important factor is the location of the lab itself. Magnitogorsk in build on and named after a geomagnetic anomaly caused by iron ore deposits. If you followed discussion about 'strange radiation' reproductions, you may noticed that in some cases they magnetize water used in the experiment.

Listen, IMO you must be also Russian - the Russian spirit was always a bit esoteric if not superstitious. It helped them to find many breakthrough inventions first - but from the same reason, they're nonsystematic and distracted enough for their pursuing and final success. Such an achievement requires the synergy of holistic thinking and systematic rational attitude, which is rare at both Asia, both Western world.

IMO the basic effect Energoniva can be replicated rather easily anywhere at the world, At this video we can see typical two-stage regime of underwater discharge. At first it's noisy and yellow, but after current impulse from capacitor it switches itself into "SunCell" mode: it will become brightly white, silent and quite radiative. IMO this is interesting by itself, as the voltammeter characteristics of power source remains unchanged during it and the negative resistance of discharge always forces it to find the most stable arrangement with respect to current source used. It means, that the discharge really gets a new quality with high frequency resonance mode.

Also the formation of black dust can be observed easily in this stage, once the reactor gets arranged in flow regime. In static discharge the metal formed in plasma discharge gets dissolved back again with surrounding water, as it reacts with water vapor fast under elevated temperatures. Of course this black cloud can also result from sputtering of metal electrodes used - but the copper usually doesn't form black suspensions in water and the suspension of its hydroxides is turquoise not brownish-green.

Just to remind all replicators doing the Mills sun Cell approach: The first team doing it (Germans some 10 years ago) got a heavy sun burn and afterwards a ban from the officials do make further investigations... (The Russian must have known it. They mounted a UV-shield - covered themselves behind a drawer...

@Zephir: Are there report about the transmutation of the the second experiment?

Did they use a tungsten electrode?

  • It could be just magnetic quenching effect - magnetic field makes plasma arc flat and unstable. High voltage circuit breakers use this effect for faster quenching of plasma.

Nicola Tesla did use it in his experiments with fast interrupters for his coils and scalar wave generators before one hundred years *) already .

Such a flat discharge will cool itself with surrounding water faster, therefore it will have the same effect, like the flow arrangement.

This fast cooling would prohibit the iron transmuted (?) and precipitated from plasma into dissolving to ions again.

Of course there can be some more intriguing effects (A-scalar field, etc.) behind it, but I don't see any evidence for it yet.

At any case, these trivial tabletop experiments demonstrate, that Energoniva process is replicable in a single arrangement at least in principle

and no additional secret is needed for its development (which cannot be said about ECat of Rossi and another processes).

*) Note that above link talks about purple discharge, which can be observed during Energoniva discharges too. This purple color is sometimes attributed to Rydberg resonance transitions (compare the ball lightning phenomena) which exhibit power spectrum of the opposite slope than the Planck body radiation.

Extremely interesting, yet very simple device : a well tuned multiresonator cavity powered with Gunn diode at GHz frequency. It apparently requires thorough tuning in each section with using of piston capacitor. But what about the polymer foil inside it? It can be just a Teflon like dielectric probably coated with silver and platinum. It has been told us, it's consumable as well as the water - it probably has a short-life time in AC field.
