Patent by Hans Lidgren Rickard Lundin for transmuations

    • Official Post

Mats Lewan just reported that the patent application of a LENr reactor developed by Ludin and Lidgren, based on their theory around Ponderomotive force, is now public .

He made an article on their new theory, refering to a patent, recently published

ponderomotive forces at resonance frequencies shake out neutrons from elements such as deuterium and lithium

This looks like quite naive explanation for me given the fact, that just the neutrons shouldn't interact with EM waves and that the cold fusion works even with normal hydrogen, which doesn't contain any neutrons.
Otherwise this patent would probably collide with many nickel-lithium based patents already existing, because it adds nothing very new into an experimental arrangement.

  • The Lidgren-Lundin hypothesis suffers from problems similar to those of Widom and Larsen and Brillouin.

    • If you have free neutrons (in the case of Lidgren-Lundin, from spallation), large numbers of those neutrons are going to escape the apparatus, as the neutron capture cross section is always finite, and you need gobs of neutron captures to account for power on the order of watts.
    • Neutron capture is indiscriminate, and many unstable isotopes are produced as a result, which will have half-lives in some cases of many, many years. This is the basis of neutron activation analysis and one of the sources of the radioactivity in spent fission fuel that necessitates special containment facilities.
  • Quite an old thread, but it looks like Lidgren and Lundin had their European patent granted on July 2018. The device described in it looks familiar, maybe too much so? I wasn't aware of it.

EDIT: maybe this would be a better thread, if there aren't newer ones still:

    New -- U.S. Patent Application 20200178381 June 4, 2020

A METHOD FOR AMPLIFYING ENERGY AND A POWER AMPLIFIER

    U.S. Patent Application 20200178381 June 4, 2020

Abstract: A power amplifier for amplifying power of electromagnetic radiation is disclosed. The power amplifier comprising: a first gaseous fuel component being deuterium; a second gaseous fuel component, the second component being another gas than deuterium, the second gaseous fuel component being selected such that a nucleus mass reducing isotope shift in deuterium is less energy requiring than a nucleus mass increasing isotope shift in the second fuel component; and a fuel compartment (12) containing a mixture of the first and second gaseous fuel components. Also a method for amplifying power of electromagnetic radiation is disclosed.

Here is a 2015 posting by Mats Lewan on the theory proposed by the applicant -

Swedish scientists claim LENR explanation break-through

    https://matslew.wordpress.com/…xplanation-break-through/

  • Remarkable that Hans LIDGREN (inventor) firstly filed a technology causing transmutation of Deuterium and e.g. Nickel at the time Rossi was still working with Nickel.

Next, this latest application relates to transmutations of Deuterium and e.g. Nitrogen while Sapphire and Rossi seems to focus on gas plasmas only currently.

I recently asked Rossi whether he could give me his latest published patent application numbers related to ECAT SK(L). He refused to give them.

No recent patent applicatons by inventor Andrea Rossi are published. Does he have a smart patent applicaton strategy via a different channel?

Interesting is that the ownership of EP3086323 has been transferred from RITON HOLDING LTD (Hong Kong) to SPALLACATCH AB (Sweden).

This new one, US20200178381, is also owned by RITON HOLDING LTD again.
