Promethian Shane D. The new web site is down. Do we know why?
All sounds good from the BLP side. Only speculation, but the thinking is that Mills and the board shut down the Yahoo discussion, because they are close to a commercial prototype, and there is no longer a benefit to having Mills thoughts over 20 years on display.

Commercial prototype? ROTFWL!

My hunch? Government, affiliated military agencies. They had some US gov former officials on their board of directors if I remember correctly.
I wish I saved their patent application when I could have that was available through their old website.
Strange radiation can enrich uranium. I tremendously doubt that UGC is a high priority of the powers that be.

I wouldn't expect anything soon from BLP...
What I want to know is why Randell Mills so quickly ran away -- like he was being chased by Godzilla -- from his early claims that hydrinos could induce nuclear reactions. There are at least two patents where he lays out a very specific theory about this issue. I don't see why he would want to rush away from such claims when, at worst, they would allow his processes to produce millions of eV instead of a couple hundred eV. I don't know the answer. However, I'm guessing that the powers that be -- at least in the early days -- really didn't want cold fusion or LENR promoted. Now we know that the SR that emerges from virtually every type of LENR system can enrich uranium: not to mention produce copious excess heat. Moreover, some small country like North Korea could invest a modest sum -- perhaps a few tens of millions of dollar equivalents -- and design a system that could not only produce uranium but copious quantities of precious metals and rare isotopes worth billions of dollars!
Personally, I'm all for technologies that helps weaken the powers that be.

As already mentioned elsewhere. The end of Hydrino fantasy is 3.43 pm that's the end point of all deep electron orbits, as to go deeper you need to add energy. (Presented this in Terni..)
Or more direct. Hydrinos as a concept is just mathematical fantasy. There are some resonances that lead to H* but that's it.
I'm not personally convinced Hydrinos, as defined by Randell Mills, but the truth is that he has observed some not yet explained phenomenon. One in particular is the production of hot hydrogen in various plasmas when his catalysts (there's a long list of them as you know) are added. Third parties who are not even involved with Randell Mills have replicated some of these experiments and have detected hydrogen with with 40eV of energy or more. I tend to think that when he detects "shrinkage" of a hydrogen atom he's observing something along the lines of muon catalyzed fusion but with EVOs.

Wyttenbach,
Looking forward to reading your Terni presentation. Not that I will understand it, but will try. Alan recommended you, and your theory to our BLP source. He seemed baffled why we even bother with this LENR stuff. It is all Hydrino's to him, and them.
The hydrino folks who deny the reality of cold fusion baffle me to no end. There's so much evidence that cold fusion can produce transmutations, isotopic shifts, and excess heat that it's undeniable (to those who are open minded, not being paid to actively naysay on forums, and who have studied the huge mountain of literature). It's almost like the possibility of LENR threatens them. Wait a second. Of course it would! According to Mill's own theory, it's going to be pretty difficult to shrink down beyond 1/4th and produce more than 200eV or so per reaction. This means that the nuclear reactions of LENR that can produce millions of eV are indeed a huge threat to them.
Mills buried QM Wyttenbach buried Mills. Who is next?

I have much respect for Mills. Same goes for Wyttenbach. May the best man, and theory win. That is what science is all about. No losers in this IMO.

If we want to get down to the point trying to grow organic garden of different options is not going to work. We already have that. It is called mainsteam physics.
