On 12.03.2017 one of LENR enthusiasts, Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences Viktor Fedotovich Zelensky left us. His whole life was connected with Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology. He was born in 1929. In 1951 he graduated from the Physics and Technology Department of the Kharkov State University. Since 1950, he began working as a laboratory technician at the Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology. In 1956 he defended his thesis for Ph.D. degree and in 1966 - for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. >From 1980 to 1997 he headed the National Scientific Center "Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology". During 1993-1996 he was general director of the same Center, from 1996 to 1998 - Director of the Institute of Solid State Physics, Materials Science and New Technologies at the same Center. Since 1997 - Adviser to the Directorate of the National Scientific Center "Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology".
Since 1990 he had been working very actively on the problem of nuclear processes in deuterium hydrogen-metal systems and had published more than 10 articles on Cold Fusion and LENR problems. He was the only
scientist in Ukraine who had received an official grant for such research from the government (in 2016). We hope that his scientific group will continue this research.
