You would be amazed who reads LENR Forum.
I don't know about this forum, but I know that many serious people read the papers at LENR-CANR.org. I have not published a survey in a while, but I believe the audience is about the same as it was when I published this one, on p. 6:

There is more interest in cold fusion than people realize. As I wrote in this paper, there is goodwill, and latent support for it. The researchers have not done a good job mobilizing that support.

At some point within the past two years this was changed and people could edit at any time their comments without the "Edited..." tag appearing. Making such tag appear is now opt-in, so up to the writer's honesty. This is not very nice as since this was introduced there's no guarantee anymore that what one might read at any given point in time will be the same later on, if such tag is not present.

Alan,
I would not be surprised if “mainstream“ whatever read these, it’s always good to more inquisitive.

We get wined and dined all the time by the big boys. In return, they get a mention by us.
So much better than being whined at and dinged.

In total less than 50 votes in the L-F Poll: Most interesting LENR story of 2018
All this “amazing readers” must be quite passive - or to say it with Rossi’s word: “The silent majority”.
And these "amazing readers" can't be part of the 50 voters?

They can ... in an “amazingly low number” - and amazingly quiet otherwise.
Or can you point me to any “amazing” l-f user (And I don’t mean the kind of posters like AA, who are “amazing” in a different way)
JedRothwell It's a nicely written piece of work, the paper you linked, but you may want to modernize it a bit. Just two quotes that could use refreshing for 2019...

I did nit say that these un-named readers would be 'amazing', I said you would be amazed. Quite a different thing.

I seldom change a paper after I upload it. I would not want to hide my mistakes and misjudgments. I might add a footnote saying that in retrospect this was a mistake. The footnote would have to have a date on it, to make it clear this is a revision.
I have revised my book a few times, but that is noted in the intro. This paper is part of a proceedings, which is a snapshot of the field at the time.
Zorud,
If you are totally convinced that Rossi has nothing you have no place on this thread.
Guess you would be one of a few lonely strangers here if such a rule would have been put in place by mods... 😊
In my opinion, bringing these themes together is what allowed Andrea Rossi to produce the QX.

They do? Please make that process as transparent as possible.

Bruce,
Someone was wisecracking that no one of importance reads LF (we are nobodies), so I decided to be cute in the reply. As Alan said, we are whined and dinged more than anything else. If someone does want to wine and dine me though, they can buy me for cheap, as I am a fish&chips, with a beer man.
If no one has a problem, I will switch some of the posts over to this thread:
From many years they are in cahoots.
