Rossi vs. Darden aftermath discussions

  • ele - if Rossi had the technology, his mission (by contract, signatures and receiving 10,5Mio for this) was to transfer this technology (=IP) to IH. So something went wrong, didn't it?

I can't believe that IH with all their experts (?) were not able to refill their reactors with the correct recipe from Rossi - if he did provide this. ...

Something went wrong only when IH had to pay the rest of the money. During the Doral test Darden invited possible investors to visit the plant.

And also reading the settlement is evident that the IP was transferred to IH and now the rights to use it are back to Rossi.

  • No. But isn't the insane and senseless adulation of every Rossi scheme and trickery by his acolytes offensive to you?

Excuse me MAry but I think that yours is an example pure Paranoid thinking.

Seems that you are able only to see trickery and secret acolytes.

You remind me the the Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper that in Dr. Strangelove ordered a nuclear attack.

  • the press release talks about a new generation of "nuclear super carriers", with a more effective engine that can run with the initial "nuclear fueling" for ca. 20...25 years - but it is still a conventional nuclear reactor, nothing else.

zorud : Show us a paper or a company statement that shows a conventional reactor that runs 25 years without refueling.

(In the orignal release - you may have missed it - some year(s) ago the wrote - needs no conventional refueling...)

  • Today the USS "Gerald R. Ford" flag-ship carrier has been put into service. The ship contains a new "nuclear reactor" of unknown type, that does not need conventional refueling.

Whether it is an LENR/Boron-fusion or Li-LENR reactor, we don't yet know. Just relate this info with the IH-settlement, the mfp show case in India and the known fact, that a large Japanese vendor of nuclear power plants did not follow up (some 15 years ago) it's huge COP technology to replace conventional reactors...

I don't believe the new railgun-sporting Zumwalts run on gas turbines, either.
There's been MHD-based aircraft for how many decades now? TR3B, Aurora, who knows what else, I'd be extremely surprised if "cold fusion" hasn't been used as an energy source by the military for quite a while now. But this is all kooky tinfoil talk, just like "breakaway civilisation". Doesn't mean it's impossible, though.

It takes you 2 minutes to google to find out what nuclear ractors are being used : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A1B_reactor

All you need to know. 50 years of operation, after 25 years refueling ...

I simply observe the development, Rossi will have to deliver at some point, because even the most patient investors will turn away at some time when nothing can be exploited, especially when other verifiable results are obtained. The Japanese speak of 2020 for commercial LENR products, SRI is also far ahead, so if Rossi wants to land with his product on the market, then he has to deliver in this period, so you only have wait and you can stop this senseless barking!

  • @ sigmoidal,

    in another thread, you wrote.

He has a fake 'journal' that he uses to disseminate false information, ...

I agree with you that the JoNP has been used to disseminate false and/or ambiguous information, but you are a very attentive observer of this saga. So let me ask you.

Are you sure that Rossi does "have" the journal?

Now, after the outcome of the litigation in front of a Federal Court, what do you think about the allusions made by Krivit seven years ago (1), shortly after the appearance of the JoNP? Are they more or less plausible?

In your opinion, is it possible to draw any conclusion about the real nature of the Ecat affair, disregarding the issue of the foundation and ownership of the JoNP?

    (1) http://www.mail-archive.com/vo…@eskimo.com/msg38061.html

  • In short, i would start doubting Rossi if the above described trend is broken. If he goes undercover, if he starts working on a different type of E-Cat and thereby is taking steps backward instead of forward, etc.

Isn't he already working on a different type of E-cat. As far as I can tell, the Quark-x is a totally different animal from the E-cat.

  • Hi Ascoli65,

There's no question in my mind that journal-of-nuclear-physics.com is operated by Rossi. That he posts there is well established by Rossi himself, and it's obvious when he posts with with sock puppets (when socks use phrases like 'pacemaker', etc.

I'm not sure what you mean about 'the allusions made by Krivit' seven years ago. Krivit obviously thinks Rossi is a fraud and crook. I certainly have come to that same conclusion, and I think the evidence now available from RvD on the federal court docket makes that case much more certain.

Personally, I am convinced that Rossi has never achieved any COP > 1 (LENR or otherwise), and that he owns no exclusive IP capable of producing LENR.

I am, however, convinced that under certain conditions, LENR (as defined by some) does occur.

I obviously can't know for sure, but personally I think it is very unlikely that LENR will ever be a viable method for commercial energy production. I'd love to have my mind changed regarding that, but so far have not seen anything that is of any encouragement for commercial energy production. (But there very well might be some other practical use of LENR, not yet realized- e.g. material processing.).

  • Why would IH fear that as upright businessmen of spotless reputation they would not be able to impress the jury more than AR, a man with a colourful past ahead of him?

Because if I.H. did lose to a rouge jury, they might have been forced to pay $267 million. Whereas if Rossi had lost, he would have owed a few million but I doubt he would have paid. He would flee, I suppose. In other words, the stakes were uneven. A loss by I.H. might have been catastrophic for them, whereas a loss by Rossi would have meant nothing to him.

It is a little like asymmetric warfare, or suicide terrorism against a powerful nation. The terrorists have nothing to lose because they are already determined to die. The nation has a lot to lose.

  • I tend to

Is this eternal Rossi Bashing not boring for you? What is the point of getting the same old stories out of the cellar again and again? The fronts have long since been clarified, the one thinks that, the others something different. Is there nothing else important in your life? Why don't you just wait and see what is going on in LENR field in general and Rossi in particular?

I agree in general with this statement. So, to add more than just constant verbal rehashing, lets' make things more interesting and put the money where the mouth is. As stated previously, I will take IHFB, or any of the Rossi Brethren up on on IHFB's wager (even at even odds, much better than his 10:1 bluster) put money (big bucks) in escrow, that nothing of Rossi's QuackX or other Rossi LENR device, will be in production, commercialized, and/or in a practical working environment within ANOTHER five years (of course, the definition of production and available and commercialized to be what "normal" people/businesses consider easily verifiable proof positive of such developments). After all, that is one of the main drones from the Brethren (even some so-called "engineers") who say that no one would believe ANY test results (I don't believe ANY of those UL, or CE certifications stamped on millions of products either, they must be sham organizations), only seeing Quack-X's in Home Depot will convince we non-believers--so we will wait to see some QuackX's available from Home-Depot or any other established wholesaler or retailer (incidentally, JM Products or similar will NOT be considered "established", and certified sales records will be required (as is customarily done in licensing contracts )). But then, I highly doubt IHFB or any Brethren will execute that bet, despite IHFB's and others' blustering. It's also rather ironic that the Brethren consider IH some evil conspiracy, when they gave Rossi $10M and all latitude he needed to definitively prove himself, and gain another $89M, and still have licensing rights for a good portion of the globe, thereby becoming famous, rich, a Nobel Prize winner, savior of humanity, but yet Rossi turns it down for simple refusal to allow independent test verification (ok-"re-verification" for the Rossi Brethren).. PS. how many of the Brethren have "invested" funds in past or future Rossi QuackX's or E-Dogs etc. Place your bets, any proceeds you win can be invested in Rossi, Quackx's, etc, so it's a good cause!

  • It also shows that many "credentialed" academics and self-prescribed "experts" are not experts on that much (and often "don't know what they don't know", which is most dangerous), and often have very little practical knowledge of anything outside of their narrow field of expertise--even if related (sort of like when I was sitting around with 5-6 high-level degreed electrical and software engineers and the subject got around to home electrical wiring, and the question came up to draw a schematic of a three-way light switch; well, only one of these engineers was able to do that (in around the 15 or so minutes)). Although Rossi's unbelievably crude, amateurish, mishmash of junk-plumbing , insulation, and cheap meters would immediately have made me extremely skeptical.

  • Something went wrong only when IH had to pay the rest of the money. During the Doral test Darden invited possible investors to visit the plant.

And also reading the settlement is evident that the IP was transferred to IH and now the rights to use it are back to Rossi.

That's great! There's no impediment to Signor Rossi commercialising e cats of any species, or re-licensing the IP to someone else. There must be lots of people willing to pay good money for a megawatt plant operating at a COP of 80 or more - I could introduce you to 2 or 3 of them by next Wednesday

  • AR's probable LOGIC: Why should I work with critics, naysayer, skeptics, etc. when my technology is proven working, its a waste of time since no matter how you tell them how good the shit is, they wont believe it because they are non-believers.

There is no money in it. I'd rather work with investors directly, it where the money is. More more more business and money.

the 10.5m dollars this money was surely used for R&D.

  • ....put the money where the mouth is. As stated previously, I will take IHFB, or any of the Rossi Brethren up on on IHFB's wager (even at even odds, much better than his 10:1 bluster) put money (big bucks) in escrow,

We need a company like PredictIt.org to open up a contract. When Intrade was in business, they opened up a cold fusion contract that I collected on. It could be done on Betmoose with bitcoins, but no one was interested when I opened up a couple contracts there.
