Ferromagnetic carbon grains are formed by (at least) long periods of electrolysis packed between lead electrodes using a sodium bicarbonate electrolyte. There may well be other methods of doing this too.

Thanks Alan Smith , I'll take this as a cautious yes! Got alkali electron donors, electrolysis, water, potential unstable isotopes, and carbon a recipe for something sparky from my current understanding. Have you checked for trace transmutation to other stable isotopes in the lead plates?
