Don't worry Eric. After today I doubt any of the Rossi-ites will rear their woo-filled heads in here. The measly 300 COP is like a final HEAT round in the coffin of this scam.

From the photos it appears that the actual e-cat is hidden in the white box, so we learn nothing from that. Has anyone said anything about what sort of measurements were actually made? Saying there was a COP of 300 without one word about what was measured tells us nothing at all. Presumably, there will be more information forthcoming.

Good thing IH agreed to settle with Rossi. After the Doral scam and his dishonesty was put on public display...for him to then rebound and command a packed house today, have his old faithful Swedes, and Levi attend for a show of force, attract this new guy, says something about his magnetic personality. If he could do that with the well educated, and scientifically informed and trained, just imagine what he could do with a jury.
Rossi makes this story so intriguing, not necessarily the technology, as in 6 years his Ecats have never passed a valid independent test. And by the looks of it, we may have years to go (oh, boy) for this to play out, as he will not submit any of his Ecat products for verification, and the market looks a long ways off.
And as long as he has the Swedes, Levi, and Lewan covering for him, you just have to hold open the possibility he has something. So Rossi has us right where he wants us...a captive audience. I wish they (Swedes) would open up and start talking, but after their refusing to defend their Lugano results, I do not hold out much hope for that. I am settling in for the long haul.

Rossi never clearly explained what Sigma-5 meant as far as I'm concerned, although apparently it has something to do with reliability. Also, I find it odd that he spent so long (1 year?) testing just 3 QX's. If he was doing reliability testing I would have assumed that he would test many of them in parallel. Based on the fact that he was only testing a few QX's I am guessing (assuming that he is not deluding himself or pulling a scam) that the testing involved improving his protocol for stimulating and/or controlling the QX in order to ensure that it either continued to work with the expected COP, or it didn't melt down and/or fail during extended time periods. In other words, my guess is that he was primarily debugging the control/stimulation procedures, and not the physical design of the QX. This IMHO is consistent with his many statements regarding having a problem during the testing and within 1 or 2 days claiming to have made a breakthrough in resolving this problem.

Who cares who, or what they defend their Lugano results to...just do it! They are scientists right...is that not what scientists are supposed to do? You submit a paper, and then you defend it. Simple. That is what peer review is all about.
What is the good of doing a verification test if you throw it out there and run away from it? If that were the scientific norm, science would come to a grinding halt. You would not be able to tell what is worth pursuing, and what not.
Look at it this way, if it were not for the Swedes and Levi, Rossi would be a nobody after Doral. Just another con man among many. By their giving him legitimacy, they should feel some professional obligation to explain to the public why they stand by him. A good start to that is answering the many reasonable questions about Lugano.
And really..."paid internet trolls", that is getting very worn out.
