Cavitation Energy Systems

Nanospire has freshened up their website, which is good news. The old one was ugly. Bad news is that they no longer mention their sonofusion. Understandable I guess, as they have a legitimate business side they advertise, and make money from. Being associated with LENR/CF is not usually good for business.

LeClair's radiation poisoning story was interesting to say the least. One of the better ones in the annals of LENR history. Right behind FP's meltdown IMO. I wonder if he is still interested in sonofusion? Hard to imagine his not being, after what he and his partner Sergei claimed to have gone through. And if they are no longer interested, I wonder if anyone has picked up where he and Sergei left off? According to them, the military was partially involved.

Actually I've seen no evidence it ever happened. LeClair was asked for documentation of the event (instrument recordings, hospital or doctor's records, etc.) on another forum and he responded with insults. If that's one of the better stories in LENR history, those who favor the reality of LENR are only in more trouble than before.

Here is an opinion about LeClair. I don't insert it here because it would be found too offensive but if you want to read it, you can find it at the link and if not...

Below is what LeClair claimed in 2007 as per [pen name] Alsetalokin in a forum note from 2013. If LeClair had told the truth, shouldn't we have LeClair reactors all over the world by now?

Another Mark LeClair quote, this time from 2012:

Does this make sense to anyone?

Apparently, he thinks Mary Yugo took an active part in exposing them to radiation when they performed experiments at NRL. Not sure what NRL they mean. The U. S. Naval Research Laboratory? Seriously? See:

    Quote

Yugo is a friend of the NRL group and has repeatedly tried to help cover up for their wrongdoing. They invited us to an experiment at NRL that was rigged and we received a second radiation exposure from an experiment that we were led to think wasn't working when it was. None of the things NRL promised were delivered. They claimed they would have a gamma ray spectrometer ready after cooling it down over the weekend preceding our visit. This never happened and they produced a cheap hand held gamma detector instead. The gamma ray spectrometer would have proven the creation of transmuted material because of the specific gamma signature of each isotope produced. We were never given dosimeters either, a violation of Federal Law on their part, we were told other radiation experiments were going on besides ours in the lab where dosimeters are always required. The promised radiation shielding, but this wasn't provided either.

Yugo also falsely claimed that the Navy tested our device for comparison against Rossi, this isn't true either. We were doing basic research together with no intent of making any comparisons.

@ShaneD There is much more along the same vein. Just Google Nanospire and LENR. Or LeClair and LENR. I'll let you draw your own conclusions. Hopefully they won't be that this is one of the "better stories" in LENR history.

    You completely miss the point.

They switched (using their gained knowledge from soon-fusion) to abrasive material processing. No longer LENR!!!, just ultra fine mechanics

    SOT,

Yes, I know the background. I have been following LeClair, and commenting on Nanospire 5 years now. He can be a little strange, and volatile, but then again, he is a legitimate businessman. He also worked with the Navy and has some serious patents to his name.

The radiation sickness story, will remain a story until proof is provided. There is none so far, as you noted. When I said it was my second most interesting story in LENR, that was not an endorsement on it's validity. It could be true, or not, and I had always hoped either he or Sergei would follow up with more experiments, so we would know for sure.

This may be another case where the secret goes to the grave. Hopefully not. If someone takes up our offer for information, maybe we can get some closure on this one.

  • Shane D.

I don't understand why you give positive attention to this unpleasant person with a highly improbable story but you seem to reject my equally reasonable flying pigs. There is at least as much evidence for them as there is for LeClair's having ever been exposed to radiation... and don't forget, he claims it was deliberately done by the U. S. Navy Research Laboratory (US-NRL)!!!! Don't you get it? There is no secret to go to the grave. There is nothing but a non-credible claim. And while anything "could be true," the chance that LeClair's story about NRL is true is about the same as the chance that the flying pigs or Rossi's claims are true.

    SOT,

I said he was strange, volatile, and that his radiation story was interesting, but unproven. And you say that is "positive attention". I disagree.

And a secret heading to the grave can be good or bad. In this case, it could be that he made it up, or it happened. Like I said, it would be nice to know for sure. You are certain it did not happen, so just ignore this thread.

  • EVO (spheromak) formation and subsequent induction of nuclear reactions is a no-brainer in cavitation systems.

Collapsing bubbles have hot plasma core

    https://www.nature.com/news/20…28/full/news050228-7.html

In the above article, the researchers used a non-water liquid and argon gas to create cavitation bubbles 2,500 times brighter than typical. I think that just as Ken Shoulders discovered, the addition of a heavy noble gas aids the formation of spheromaks in a plasma where free electrons are present. Once the spheromak is created, you have a nuclear "wood chipper" ready to pulverize some atoms. The nano-spire technique simply focuses the plasma and spheromak towards a specific geometric hole or target to intensify the temperatures/pressures. By varying the liquid, size of the bubbles (a function of the viscosity of the liquid and frequency), the gases used, and the material of the target, I'm pretty confident you can produce a range of nuclear reactions -- some of which could emit unsavory things you don't want to be next to.

  • Max Nozin " Except for big claims and blown cheeks I don't see any traction"

I googletranslated the multi-authored Kornilova paper

The brief theoretical calculations are interesting

She asserts that the cavitation device produces thermal (acoustic?) waves of frequency of at least 70…90 МegaHertz/

This sounds like ultraultrasonics to me , definitely not in the normal range' I'd like to see her at least verify this...not just calculate.

Then thru 'effective Plancks constant' calculations she asserts that these thermal waves cause energy excursions of 50 kev in

the deuterium confined in the TiD2 lattice cracks.

Then there is the "commercialisation within 3 years"...in the video. sounds like big claims

Tsar Putin doesn't give one kopek for this research.. without this it is hard to get traction

perhaps Kornilova will sell another device for a few kopeks??

  • Bostic explains in at least one of his papers, in detail, how adding heavier noble gases to the hydrogen mixture allows for easier formation of spheromaks and makes them more stable. I'm 90% certain that the paper was linked to on this forum -- probably by Alan Smith. I don't remember the exact details of the explanation, but I remember that it seemed extremely elegant to me and perfectly logical. Lipinski's experiments were probably producing these same formations, in my opinion. So even if they were producing nuclear reactions in their low energy range (around 200eV if I remember) there could have been additional reactions between lithium and protons taking place inside the spheromaks (especially upon their compression and/or destruction) at higher energies.
