I sure wish a simultaneous version of the conference would be held in the United States.

Thx for posting H-G,
Interesting line-up. Better yet, only one reference to Rossi! My hats off to Mats Lewan for hosting this. Mostly presentations of "what if's"....when LENR is finally accepted, and more importantly, how it will help, or disrupt the world order. The agenda reminds me somewhat LENR Cities before their liquidation.
Good to talk about those things, but to get them in the door, you need some "meat and potatoes". Something they can sink their teeth into. And it looks as if Alan Smith is set to provide that with his two presentations. Although my guess is that BG (abstract not yet available) may well bring a side dish or two.

January 17, 2018 at 2:30 AMDear Andrea,
I’m happy to announce that the New Energy World Symposium, focusing on the consequences of LENR based technologies, for society, industry, and financial systems is now open for registration, with an Early Bird discount until Feb 17: http://new-symposium.org
The symposium will be held in Stockholm, Sweden on June 18-19, 2018.
For your readers, I’d like to clarify that, as you know, the symposium has no connection with you or with Leonardo Corporation, and that you will not be part of the program.
I also want to point out that the focus of the conference is not LENR science but its consequences and potential applications, and that the New Energy World Symposium has no aim to be an alternative to the scientific LENR conference ICCF.
Kind Regards,
Mats Lewan

Thank you for the information,
Warm Regards,

Something else you can do with aluminum:
Last week was the end of the early bird specials. Still months away...everything still on track for June?
Considering how enamored and supportive of Rossi Mats Lewan is, I would expect Rossi to be a major participant with a keynote speech and a demonstration of a megawatt QuarkX in a small glass bottle followed by an open question and answer period during which Rossi is discouraged from evading questions. Yes, sure, I expect that.
Snoopy,
I do not understand some things myself, but in fairness to Lewan, he has made it a point to say this conference is*NOT* about Rossi. He obviously understands that many are turned off to that name. Those thinking of attending (if still on) can make their decision knowing it is about new energy.
Also, our Alan Smith will debut his new clean recycling process (if still on track) at the symposium, and we do not want to take the limelight off him with this talk of the other guy.
Mats Lewan's indelible Rossi stain stays with him into perpetuity.

True life, true experiments.
Masterful Cyd - I like mine medium rare.

Could be that Mats knows way more than you do ... Could be you know thats the case ... and could be thats why you feel the need to trash him ... just a thought ...
Nobody has done this trick before, unless they use micronised Al powder and some fairly expensive and nasty chemicals. On a bigger scale, reducing scrap cans to hydrogen and sodium aluminate with sodium hydroxide is trivial chemistry. But the sodium aluminate you end up with requires extensive and expensive post-processing to make it useable for almost anything. Doing it with nothing but hot water and recoverable catalyst is a game changer, since our pre and post-processing systems are easy and low energy. That's because 'there's no crap in there'. No lacquer dioxins and no sodium. No plant emissions at all and a COP of around 8.5 in terms of electrical energy in vs hydrogen energy out.
Alan Smith we already went over that before, https://www.triplepundit.com/2…-hydrogen-new-nanopowder/
This article says the powder at the end is inert. Also the power density seems to be higher than that of a battery.
Did you try to look deeper in overall enery balance if it could potentially replace batteries and oil?
Lenr is good but it will cause revolutionary change in energy market. This type of fuel might interest incumbents since you still need tankers to carry it and traditional refill station infastructure.

We are currently building a pilot plant capable of producing around 120 kW + of hydrogen energy/day, had one set-back due to a failed reactor (not our fault and currently subject of a dispute we are winning.) The data from this plant will be very useful in getting exact figures. What with that and LENR us 3 old guys are pretty busy.
Wow!
Alan Smith does it mean that I will
Have to increase consumption of canned beer to power my house? While I like an idea would it better to have a recyclable aluminum fule circulating between places with excess energy and places where it is needed.
There a big players who would love that such as Hydro Quebec and Alcan for instance.
The ones who like it bast, it seems are the scrap producers- aircraft companies, car manufacturers and so on. They like the idea of saving cash on process energy and making a profit on the end product of our process. Our ideal customer is a refractory ceramics manufacturer near a big scrap producer - the ceramics guys use gas and aloxite you see. And add 20% hydrogen to natural gas (which can be done without burner alterations) and you double the calorific value., so their furnace gas bills go way down, and their aloxite supply is guaranteed.
Aluminum contains 20% more energy then gasoline!
Today some German ALU companies doing electrolysis already use the revers process to generate grid control energy. The ALU process seems to have multiple futures. What Alan does is just closing the circle and recover useful resources.

Can you clarify this. What's the fuel for the 120kW plant? LENR? Hydrogen (eg burning hydrogen or fuel cell)?
