This Friday, May 18th, took place the International Conference on the Application of Microorganisms for Radioactive Waste Treatment. The meeting took place in Busan, Korea. This conference was organized by Professor GunWoong Bahng. Only 7 presentations were given, this is due to the fact that at the world level, very few people work on this subject.

Sanghi Rhee, Chairman of the Research Policy Committee of the Republic of Korea introduced the conference. He made a reminder of the evolution of the constitution of the Earth, and the role of bacteria in the formation of oxygen in the atmosphere. He explained why while in the Nevada desert, the radioactivity did not drop after the first nuclear explosion, it quickly disappeared in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. For him, there was no bacteria in the desert, while in Japan there are bacteria. For him, it is these bacteria that suppressed the radioactivity. He contacted Takashima in Japan, and an experiment was conducted in Fukushima that showed a 70% drop in radioactivity in two weeks.

Oleksander Tashyrev, of the Zaboltny Institute of Microbiology and Virology at the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, presented his method using thermodynamics to understand the accumulation of metals in bacteria.

Vira Govorukha, from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Zaboltny Institute of Microbiology and Virology showed how a process was implemented to carry out the process of metal accumulation by bacteria.

Kyu Jin Yum, from Coenbio Korea, said that his company was producing bacteria to clean contaminated soil. Recently, he had an experiment on the suppression of Cs-137 by bacteria. Radioactivity decreased by 1% per day. The work continues.

J-P Biberian. A historical reminder of the biological transmutations, and I presented the various experiments that I realized for 20 years with seeds and bacteria showing each time anomalies of composition.

Hideo Kozima from the Cold Fusion Research Laboratory in Japan is a Cold Fusion theorist. In his presentation, he showed how his model that supposes the intervention of neutrons can explain Cold Fusion as well as Biological Transmutations.

Vladimir Vysotskii, from the Department of Theoretical Radiophysics of Shevchenko University of Kyiv, Ukraine, recalled all of his work showing the transmutation of manganese into iron and also from Cs-133 into Ba-134 and Cs-137 into Ba-138 .

GunWoong Bahng from the SUNY Mechanical Engineering Department in Korea described an experiment on the use of a bacterial complex to reduce Cs-137 radioactivity. He also mentioned that the Rosatom company in Russia was working on the transformation of Cs-137 into Ba-138.

This conference which lasted only one day in view of the very small number of people working on the subject was the opportunity to meet all the people involved. It also allowed to see that officially Korea was working on this topic with government funding. That's very good news!
