ENERGY X.0: Future of energy systems

Climate change is an existential threat for human-beings and energy sector is the prime responsible. On the other hand, the technological progress has made it possible

to use sustainable resource for energy generation and consume energy more intelligently. The latest has made the large industries to be willing to take control over

their own energy system. EX.0 (ENERGY X.0) encapsulates the visions for a change in the energy systems considering the technological progress and the need for a

    revolution to save our planet.

    " the hydrogen economy"

high hopes of exporting cheap!!!! energy to Asia based on 'carbonsequestered" fossil fuel..

"carbon capture and storage (CCS) hydrogen, where coal and gas can be processed in countries like Australia to produce hydrogen, with the unwanted CO2 emissions captured and sequestered. There is a current Japanese-led demonstration project in the Latrobe Valley in Victoria using brown coal, involving Kawasaki Heavy Industries.

If only they would consider ' the  deuterium economy' based on LENR.

  • If only they would consider ' the  deuterium economy' based on LENR.

No doubt they will as soon as working LENR power production (even in proof of concept form) exists and is revealed with published operational theory and independent testing by those secretive actors who make claims for such a thing.

Until then no-one will believe any such thing exists.

I don't think it is bias against deuterium: hot fusion 2.0 proof of concepts (of a more transparent sort) exist in not quite finished stage and get a fair amt of publicity.

  • Was also thinking the hydrogen economy would work wonders with a hydrino/dense hydrogen based energy grid. A pure water flow distribution network would make more sense, probably heavy water for high energy LENR systems and pure H2O for drinking and hydrino/chemical energy far superior to burning hydrogen with oxygen. Both of those systems theoretically produce more energy than is needed for electrolysis and starting the initial reaction. Liquid water is just the most versatile, inert and compact transport conduit for hydrogen/deuterium, especially if the energy density makes electrolysis at location feasible.

You could have psuedo-centralized LENR desalination, purification and industrial process producing reactors that distribute water to microgrids and homes for hydrino based reactors. And maybe the dense hydrogen condensates produced, key to the claimed nuclear reactions, are collected and sent back to the larger atomic/industrial power plant. Symbiosis, thoughts? I will also post this in the BLP thread.

  • Ahh, what about dense hydrogen/hydrinos, por favor? Does this journal list or acknowledge that possible phenomena among releasing non nuclear explosive reactions?

  • the triple bond (approaching 1 MJ/mol).. higher than that of any other known non-nuclear explosive reaction.

what about dense hydrogen/hydrinos, por favor?

    The Nature report uses 1 Mj/mol ..which is 1000KJ/mol which is ~ 10 eV (Kj /mol = 0.0104 eV)

The hydrino is unknown Greek to Redfern li and Liu

but in comparison to the triple N 10 eV

the energy changes theorised by Mills of 27 Ev...496 eV are massive,

No, nor does it acknowledge ectoplasmic cooling as low carbon AC solution.

If either dense hydrogen, or hydrinos, actually existed, it would revolutionise all of science and technology. No doubt. And no doubt that both scientists (rewarded for new discoveries) and entrepeneurs (seeing an opportunity in a new cheap carbon-free power source, with a technological back story that is great PR) would jump on anything that had a half-chance of being real. Many here hope that will happen, which is fair enough.

Skeptics like me however point to the lack of such a revolution as indicating that neither Hydrinos nor UDD/UDH exist.

Both claimed new phenomena have companies claiming they want to commercialise them. Neither as yet has anything to show for these claims except PR videos.

  • Touche, I prefer to wait and see before making definitive negative statements.

Holmlids work is sponsored by Upsala University and UDH certainly exists as it has been replicated by different labs.

not to mention the Norront Group.
