  • take a look at long haulers symptoms

Common COVID-19 symptoms of long haulers

The list of long hauler symptoms is long, wide and inconsistent. For some people, the lasting coronavirus symptoms are nothing like the original symptoms when they were first infected with COVID-19. The most common long hauler symptoms include:

    Coughing

    Ongoing, sometimes debilitating, fatigue

    Body aches

    Joint pain

    Shortness of breath

Loss of taste and smell — even if this didn’t occur during the height of illness

    Difficulty sleeping

    Headaches

    Brain fog

Now let's look at symptoms of zinc deficenccy

    Symptoms

Zinc is used by your body in cell production and immune functions. There is still a lot more to learn about zinc, but we do know that zinc is an essential part of growth, sexual development, and reproduction.

When you’re zinc deficient, your body can’t produce healthy, new cells. This leads to symptoms such as:

    unexplained weight loss

    wounds that won’t heal

    lack of alertness

decreased sense of smell and taste

    diarrhea

    loss of appetite

    open sores on the skin

Now why are they zinc deficient

I posted a study early on about the role vitamn d plays in the absobtion of zinc.

Vitamin D3 transactivates the zinc and manganese transporter SLC30A10 via the Vitamin D receptor

  • More than 100,000 deaths linked to coronavirus at long-term care facilities

    https://www.foxnews.com/health…long-term-care-facilities

This week marks a bleak milestone in the pandemic’s effect on residents and staff in long-term care facilities across the country. According to our latest analysis of state-reported data, COVID-19 has claimed the lives of more than 100,000 long-term care facility residents and staff as of the last week in November,” the report read.

And still no way to protect the most at risk because no one will listen. Supplemental high doses of vitamn D has shown in small country bumkin doctors studys, not affiliated to any national chains, that vitamn D, in high dose prevents winter influenza

Vitamin D helps prevent cancers and infections

Seniors who want to be proactive about their health should turn to vitamin D. Scientists cite the important nutrient as a preventive treatment for everything from colon cancer to the flu.

Due to its ability to manage immune cells, a healthy vitamin D status puts seniors at decreased risk for colon cancer and blood cancers, specifically. Recent research from the University of Eastern Finland also suggests reduced mortality among some cancer patients treated with vitamin D.

In addition to fending off life-threatening and chronic diseases, vitamin D can help boost seniors’ immune system to defeat more everyday illnesses, like colds, the flu, and other respiratory conditions. A global study incorporating 25 clinical trials reported that vitamin D promotes “natural antibiotic-like substances” in the lungs.

  • Had we done a chart earlier in the pandemic, it would have colored blue. Then we could have mocked them.

Nope. By coincidence, the pandemic happened to hit New York first, before the doctors and public health experts learned how to deal with it. Since then, they reduced case mortality and implemented case tracking and quarantine in New York, New Jersey and other blue states. This greatly reduced the number of cases and deaths in Blue States. In Red States such as Georgia, the government has done nothing to reduce cases. On the contrary, the governor and others are advocating steps and implementing policies that increase cases and deaths. Such as forcing people back to work in dangerous and unnessary jobs, telling city governments they cannot make masks mandatory, and allowing restaurants and bars to remain open.

So, when you graph results after the initial wave, the GOP run states look dreadful, because they are.

It is true that most of the dead are elderly, in North Dakota and elsewhere. But the age distribution of infected people and hospitalized people is more even. See the detailed data here:

    https://www.health.nd.gov/dise…-dakota-coronavirus-cases

You don't want to be hospitalized for this at any age. It is very painful. Very dangerous and frightening. It is the last line of defense. Georgia Gov. Kemp says (in effect) let's not take any steps to prevent this because there is plenty of room at the hospitals. There is a gigantic disconnect between what he says and what the doctors, nurses and patients say. Or what I say, having been hospitalized for pneumonia 20 years ago. You don't want to experience that, if you can possibly avoid it. The discomfort of wearing a mask is nothing in comparison.

The disconnect has also been revealed in Japan, where doctors and nurses are telling people the situation is terrible, but the federal government is issuing mealy-mouthed assurances that things are okay and a pretend two-week pause will fix the problem -- a problem we don't actually have but anyway it will go away. So, who are you going to believe? Doctors? Or politicians? Granted, their politicians are nowhere near as bad as Trump or our idiot Gov. Kemp, but if it had been up to them, Japan would have far more cases and deaths. Fortunately, public pressure forced the politicians there to leave the decisions up to the experts up until now. In the U.S. Kushner bragged that "we are getting the country back from the doctors." (https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/28…avirus-doctors/index.html) Yes, and putting it into the hands of undertakers, bankruptcy courts, repossessors and food pantries for the millions of people who cannot afford to pay rent or eat. We have a hundred times more cases and deaths per capita than Japan, because our policies are supposedly to "save money" and "protect the economy," but in fact they have the opposite effect. It turns out that massive illness and deaths on the scale of WWII are bad for the economy, and that stopping the illness is the only way to save the economy. Who knew?!?

  • Watch out for this terrifyingly weird coronavirus symptom

    https://news.google.com/articl…=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

A report in The New York Times details anecdotal evidence that the coronavirus can cause unexpected dental problems. People have even had their teeth falling out without experiencing any kind of pain or bleeding.

Stop worrying about it! Chill out. Our Gov. Kemp already told you there is plenty of room in the hospitals. There are plenty of dentists who will be happy to implant new teeth after yours fall out. Brain fog? Not a problem! Hire someone to help you take a shower and put on your socks. It won't cost much and it will only last the rest of your life. Probably. Many of the severe cases of "long haul" illness are at age 40, so that's another 40 years or so of medical care. You can afford that! And if you can't, go live under a bridge. Most personal bankruptcy in the U.S. is caused by the obscene cost of medical care.

Most of the people who die are elderly. Most are over 60, and who needs them? They are expendable. The long haulers are also expendable. Also, 22 million people who are not getting enough food? And all those kids who can't go to school because our federal and state governments have done nothing to control the pandemic? Expendable! Why should we give a damn about little kids not getting educated, or people getting thrown out of their houses, or people who can't get enough to eat, or people with brain fog and teeth falling out of their mouths? The Dow Jones is at record highs! Good times, people! Look at the bright side.

    • Official Post

Nope. By coincidence, the pandemic happened to hit New York first, before the doctors and public health experts learned how to deal with it.

I have never been into pointing fingers at people getting infected, and shaming them because they happen to live in a blue state, or red state. Most of those dying are old and feeble, and under the care of others. They could not help it. So it has nothing to do with red/blue, or politics...but all about the virus to me.

I was only trying to make that point to Zeus.

  • My posts are not for your political outbursts, they are to inform members who actually care to find proper treatments for patients suffering. Start looking for ways to treat these conditions rather than play the blame game.

Every aspect of COVID in the U.S. is political. It is by far the most politicized health care disaster in U.S. history. Our infection rate and death rate is 30 to 100 times higher than Japan, Taiwan, Canada and other places. This is the direct result government inaction. Are you suggesting no one is to blame? This is the direct result of decisions made at the highest levels of federal and state governments. Experts worldwide at every public health organization repeatedly warned the Trump administration this would happen. No disaster in U.S. history has been foretold in such detail, and none would have been easier to prevent. The cost of preventing it would have been a million times less than the economic damage it has caused.

We do not need to "look for ways" to treat these conditions. We could easily have prevented most of them in first place, with public health measures such as wearing masks, washing hands, case tracking and quarantine. These methods are proven to work. Every single front line doctor has pleaded with the public to do these things. They would have saved hundreds of thousands of lives in the U.S. They were not implemented. On the contrary, Trump, Kemp, our recently elected member of congress, the Gov. of S. Dakota and other GOP leaders deliberately impeded these steps, and discouraged them.

Im not quite sure about where you live but everywhere I go people ARE wearing masks, bars and restaurants included. It is a small minority that don't listen and as usual it's Trump kemp Republicans. I supported Trump, didn't mean I wouldn't wear a mask but your posts are nothing more than stereotyping and I for one am sick of it!!!

  • So it has nothing to do with red/blue, or politics...but all about the virus to me.

It has EVERYTHING to with red/blue politics. Democratic policies in New York state and elsewhere have reduced the infection and death rate by a factor of 10. Case tracking and mandatory masks wearing would have saved hundreds of thousands of lives. Long after it became clear these steps are effective, GOP policies in Georgia, Florida, the Dakotas and elsewhere prevented them from being implemented. They did nothing to control the infection. On the contrary, their statements and their policies exacerbated the epidemic. Trump, Kushner and the other administration leaders are the worst by far. They ignored the advice Fauci and all other public health experts.

Look at the contrast with other countries. Look at the contrast between New York in recent months and GOP states. GOP policies have killed ~200,000 people, wrecked our education, and destroyed the economy. Democratic policies and following the advice of experts would have saved these lives and prevented the catastrophe. In all of U.S. history, this is by far the most clear example of a catastrophic loss of life and wealth directly caused by our government. With modern technology it could have been prevented easily, as shown in other countries, especially China, Taiwan and S. Korea.

Now let's look at this. In January the nation was wrapped up in impeachment. In early February that came to an end and we started hearing about the virus and it was already spreading.Trump wanted mass testing and went out and bought 6 million tests. Damn chinese they didn't work. Next the CDC tests come out and opps 70% false positives so a few weeks later the CDC puts out it's new test. Damn again 30% false negatives. Finally the end of March and we have a test.but will it be enough to get the spread under control. Nope! Next Trump talks hydroxychloroquine and the media went wild, stealing the narrative and now is the sole judge on what treatments patients should be getting. One CNN host went as far as saying it should be a crime against humanity for even mentioning hydroxychloroquine. Masks were for sick people no need for healthy people. Some say it was because of a shortage, maybe but then we are told to wear them but not cloth. A week later ok cloth masks. No treatment for outpatient care wIt till your ready to die and come on down to the iicu. Ya it's polical and yes even the experts have been wrong. But as someone pointed out there are no experts on covid 19. So go ahead Jed feel good about yourself plenty of blame all around.

  • Now let's look at this. In January the nation was wrapped up in impeachment. In early February that came to an end and we started hearing about the virus and it was already spreading.

The whole nation was not wrapped up in the impeachment. Trump may have been, but the public health experts in the government were not. They were doing their jobs. The WHO was not wrapped up in the impeachment. It issued detailed recommendations in February. Nations that followed these recommendations, such as S. Korea, China, Greece and Canada, avoided the worst of the pandemic. Their economies are intact. Their casualties are 30 to 100 times lower than ours.

The virus was already spreading in other countries too, not just the U.S. They stopped it. We didn't.

Trump wanted mass testing and went out and bought 6 million tests. Damn chinese they didn't work. Next the CDC tests come out and opps

I do not think these were from China. The CDC did make a big mistake on the tests. The thing is, when a government agency screws up in a way that will kill thousands of people, the administration is supposed to take prompt action. The Trump administration did nothing.

Finally the end of March and we have a test.but will it be enough to get the spread under control. Nope!

We did not have enough tests, and we did not have the other things the WHO recommended, case tracking and quarantine. Other countries such as S. Korea did have these things, and they did get the spread under control. In March Kushner recommended a project with all of these things. Fauci said it was exactly what we need. The administration decided not to do any of the things on Kushner's list. Not one. See:

    https://www.vanityfair.com/new…n-went-poof-into-thin-air

One CNN host went as far as saying it should be a crime against humanity for even mentioning hydroxychloroquine.

CNN hosts do not make federal public health policy. They did not reject Kushner's recommendations. If we had done what Kushner recommended, hydroxychloriquine would not be needed, except for a few thousand people, assuming it works.

Masks were for sick people no need for healthy people.

That was a mistake. Again, it was the result of ignoring the WHO and most other public health experts. Other countries did not make this mistake. We should have learned from them.

Ya it's polical and yes even the experts have been wrong.

It is the most political disaster in U.S. history. The experts are always wrong, to some extent. They were dealing with a new disease. Experts worldwide made mistakes, not just in the U.S., but also in Korea and other places. They learned from their mistakes. We did not.

  • well now let's look at New York and what's happening there Jed

At least 69 new coronavirus deaths and 6,938 new cases were reported in New York on Nov. 26. Over the past week, there has been an average of 5,833 cases per day, an increase of 51 percent from the average two weeks earlier.

Yes, and they are taking aggressive steps to reduce that. Even closing the schools again. Fortunately, deaths are much lower than they were at first, and have not risen in proportion to new cases. The per capita infection rate for the last several months is lower than Georgia and Florida, and much lower than N. and S. Dakota, which are the worst in the nation.

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/new-york/

The per capita rates of infection and death at the beginning of the pandemic were the worst in New York. Anyone can see that. After case tracking was finally implemented, under the direction of Johns Hopkins, the rates fell dramatically. In a sane country with a working federal government, the Johns Hopkins methods would have been implemented nationwide by the end of March. Modern case tracking needs an internet data processing infrastructure. In China, S. Korea and Japan, experts put this infrastructure together in a few weeks. Companies such as Google could have provided this easily. The Federal government should have ordered them to do it immediately, under the Defense Production Act. (Under this act, the government promises to pay whether the goods and services are used or not. There is no risk for the company.)

The virus doest care about testing tracing or you. It wants to spread and it will.

That is nonsense. Case tracking, warning people, and quarantine stop the pandemic. They have worked in Korea and other countries. They will work anywhere. The virus will not spread when the proper public health steps are taken.

  • Take the time and watch. Dr. John Campbell 5 months ago why aren't the experts listening.had they we might not be at this point.
