Covid-19 News

  • For those not yet PCR converted was 0.68 RR - or a 32% increased benefit. Numbers are small in all cases and include no difference.

Of course, if PCR is being used anything is possible -- what was the setting? PCR at 35 cycles, as per latest research only gives 3% viral culture ability --- it really is that flawed (or should it be fraud). Google search to find Fauci talking about how 37+ is not "reproduceable".

  • but your posts are nothing more than stereotyping and I for one am sick of it!!!

Nope. No stereotyping. I am not talking about people in general. I am pointing to specific statements, policies and actions taken by Trump, Kushner, Kemp and other GOP leaders. Facts, not stereotypes.

People caused this disaster. People are responsible. Specifically, leaders are responsible. That is why some countries contained the virus but others did not.

  • Viral epitope profiling of COVID-19 patients reveals cross-reactivity and correlates of severity

    https://science.sciencemag.org/content/370/6520/eabd4250

    Profiling coronaviruses

Among the coronaviruses that infect humans, four cause mild common colds, whereas three others, including the currently circulating severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), result in severe infections. Shrock et al. used a technology known as VirScan to probe the antibody repertoires of hundreds of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients and pre–COVID-19 era controls. They identified hundreds of antibody targets, including several antibody epitopes shared by the mild and severe coronaviruses and many specific to SARS-CoV-2. A machine-learning model accurately classified patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 and guided the design of an assay for rapid SARS-CoV-2 antibody detection. The study also looked at how the antibody response and viral exposure history differ in patients with diverging outcomes, which could inform the production of improved vaccine and antibody therapies.

  • Medical care systems are on the verge of collapsing in some regions in Japan amid the ongoing surge in the number of novel coronavirus infections.

In japan all positive tested cases go to hospital what simply is idiotic!

We have a hundred times more cases and deaths per capita than Japan, because our policies are supposedly to "save money" and "protect the economy," but in fact they have the opposite effect.

But then the damage/case ratio in Japan is much higher. Also suicide/case ratio...

Even more idiots doing HCQ studies without zinc,V-D and Doxycyline...It really need all three (4).

  • In japan all positive tested cases go to hospital what simply is idiotic!

Idiotic? They made a lot of mistakes in Japan, but overall their per capita and absolute number of cases and deaths are far lower than any EU country, and 50 times lower than the U.S. So they are way less idiotic than we are. Lowest deaths in Europe per million: Finland (60), Norway (71). Japan: 16. U.S.: 816. Switzerland: 527.

I do not see anything idiotic about sick people going to hospitals. They do not stay in the hospital in Japan for light cases. They are sent home to quarantine. Or, if their house is not safe for that, they are given a place in a reserved hotel or some other facility.

    Also suicide/case ratio...

The suicide rate in Japan has always been on the high end compared to most most countries, for cultural and historic reasons. Although the rate is much lower in Japan than Russia and Korea, and a little lower for males than Belgium, the U.S. and Sweden. COVID has increased it somewhat, but I doubt more than other countries. There is much better unemployment compensation in Japan than in most countries.

There have been more public health measures to reduce suicide in Japan in recent years, which I think has reduced the rate. This has been in the news. Since 2000 it has fallen from around 22 per 100,000 down to 15.

  • Covid latest: Cholesterol is the key factor for severe covid infections says latest study

    https://www.express.co.uk/life…creased-risk-covid-19/amp

The novel coronavirus has been known to affect people in a number of different ways with some experiencing a severe infection and others not. Now, a recent study suggests the amount of cholesterol a person is carrying may be the key factor into the severity of COVID-19 infection.

  • Covid-19: What makes coronavirus the most potent pathogen since Spanish Flu

    https://news.google.com/articl…=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

The human immune system did not have an idea how to nail down the new pathogen. Further, the virus underwent a key mutation that made it more infective.

This mutant variety, known as D614, was first identified in China, where Covid-19 pandemic started, and then in Europe. It was later found to be spreading fast in the US, Canada and also India.

Mutation is an error or need-based genetic evolution. Virus makes its copy once inside a host. While making copies of virus, error occurs at times or virus’s gene undergoes a change, making the new variety duller or smarter. D614 made the novel coronavirus smarter and faster in spread.

  • Decline in SARS-CoV-2 Antibodies After Mild Infection Among Frontline Health Care Personnel in a Multistate Hospital Network — 12 States, April–August 2020

    https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6947a2.htm

Once infected with SARS-CoV-2, most persons develop virus-specific antibodies within 2–3 weeks (2,3). Serology tests are now being used widely in seroprevalence studies to understand patterns of viral spread, cumulative incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection, and pandemic trajectory (4–6). Further, serologic testing has been proposed as a way to identify persons who might have developed immunity through a previous infection. Understanding how rapidly SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels decline after seroconversion is critical for interpreting serology results. A limited number of studies have found declines in SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels over time (7–9), but the frequency and timing of seroreversion (the decline in antibody levels below the positivity threshold after initial seroconversion) remains largely unknown.

  • Covid latest: Cholesterol is the key factor for severe covid infections says latest study

Looks like sponsored by the statines mafia. Reporters mix up receptors with cholesterol... In fact Germans have a genetically based higher cholesterol level and show no correlation with this nonsensical claim...

I guess the next paper will be about red hair or long toe nails ...

  • If you still won’t wear a coronavirus face mask after seeing this, you’re insane

    https://news.google.com/articl…=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

Rather than becoming a simple tool to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, face masks have become highly controversial. An anti-mask movement fueled by politics rather than science gained traction in the US and abroad, with some people becoming convinced that face coverings don’t help to stop the spread. Some went even further, claiming that masks will prevent oxygen from reaching the body. Worst of all, some likened masks to oppression and found all sorts of reasons to avoid wearing masks in public.

  • Ignoring mild symptoms of COVID-19 can lead to fatal complications'

    https://news.google.com/articl…=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

The hospital said that it has been receiving patients with high grade fever, severe body and muscle ache, stroke, leg thrombosis, lung fibrosis and cardiac involvement, the classic manifestations of Covid-19.

The clinical investigation of thirty such patients revealed that they never underwent the test to detect the virus despite developing mild symptoms of the disease thinking that the symptoms would go away on their own.
