CCP is a front for other actors. These actors are international. Nation states are meaningless. You either belief Gain of Function work to Wuhan (Fauci), or it did not (You). On the other hand, you believe Fauci that Remdesivir is a great medication (he glowed and glowed for it) or you believe WHO (it doesnt do anything). It was a lab leak or it wasn't. It was before December or it wasn't. Hydroxychloroquine works (world including China) or it doesn't (WHO). You believe "nothing to worry about" (Fauci in February) or vaccine needed (Fauci began vaccine effort Jan 14th -- surely a lie).

You exaggerate. Some of the information from the Chinese government was unreliable, especially when the epidemic began. Other information has been reliable. The Chinese government is not a single unified entity in which everyone agrees. Of course it is a dictatorship, and it controls information, but no dictatorship has perfect control over information. Even Stalinist Russia published accurate data from time to time about their agricultural and industrial output, according to my father, whose job it was to ferret out such data during and after WWII. They published mountains of imaginary data and garbage as well, but mixed in with it was reliable data, which they needed to win the war and run the country. It is a wasteful way of doing things. You sometimes had to read between the lines to figure out what was really going on.

The political leaders in China are inclined to lie and hide the facts. The medical establishment is more honest and open. The same thing can be said about the state of Georgia. The government has been frantically lying and covering up the facts from the start. Nursing homes report no deaths when they have had dozens of deaths. When the press asks for detailed information, the government delays, lies, charges outrageous amounts of money for data which the taxpayers already paid for and which by law is supposed to be made available, and then provides paper copies of tables in which every single word and number is blacked out. This makes Stalinist Russia seem open in comparison. On the other hand, the public health bureaucracy has been reasonably honest, despite efforts by the governor and others to suppress the information. See:

To find the truth, you have to take into account the political motivations of the speakers, and you have to judge whether they have been honest in the past. Weigh the evidence from different sources. Use your common sense. You will probably be able to make a reasonably accurate evaluation.
