(CNN)The US may have its own version of a more transmissible coronavirus and that might be helping fuel the already aggressive spread of the virus, the White House coronavirus task force said in its latest report to states this week.

Reports sent by the task force to states dated January 3 warned of the possibility of a "USA variant" of Covid-19.

A more contagious SARS-CoV-2 virus is a deadlier one. Not because it gets any individual sicker but because it reaches more people. More illness means more cases: more mild cases, more severe cases, more long-term complications, more hospitalizations, and more deaths.

Keep in mind that V-D3 is lowest in February on the north half of the planet and thus CoV-19 figures must increase from day to day! Also air pollution is worst in winter months . That's why it starts now in China again. It's the same with the flu and CoV-19. Also Japan/Korea see a strong increase. So 500'000 to 600'000 cases will be the top for one day in the USA if the mafia is willing to hold back ivermectin. Whatever side of the issue one is on, all seem now to agree now that HCQ is safe to use. I don't know about you, but IMO when a drug is safe, a large percentage of studies show it effective, and the world is experiencing a deadly pandemic with no other official early treatment available, the medical establishment/government health care bureaucracies should give their blessing and step aside.

That said...Ivermectin looks to be more effective, so everyone is rallying behind it now to get it approved.

If one large group of experts says X and another larger group disagrees, there is no consensus. A consensus means most of them agree. I have not taken a poll so I would not know how things stand, but I read that the consensus is against HCQ.

Sure - you don't need a new study for the first part of that - just a better understanding of evolution that the Intelligent Design crowd - a low benchmark. And the possibility of some change making something worse is universally there when dealing with not fully understood medicine.

But in any case - without vaccines everyone will get it anyway. So more virulent strains (which have a decent chance of being less deadly) are no bad thing.

With vaccines - the additional evolutionary pressure from the vaccine may mean we get vaccine escape quicker than otehrwise. But vaccine escape is what we will gtet anyway. luckily we now have vaccines that can be very quickly reconfigured for new strains.

That reminds me of the situation with the whooping cough (Pertussis) vaccine, where the vaccinated become asymptomatic carriers and transmitters, rather than having symptoms and isolating at home.

I've spent the last 12 months researching covid 19 and understand how frustrating it can be trying to make a point. I'm firmly in the whitty camp on early outpatient treatment as the only way out of this. As for Jed he is a firm believer in vaccination, my wife can't take it as her imune system is still recovering from cancer treatments, so I demand early treatment and sometimes insult people in my method.
