  • Covid infection shown to provide as much immunity as vaccines

    https://news.google.com/articl…=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

People who have already contracted coronavirus are as protected against reinfection as those who have received the best Covid-19 vaccines, according to a survey of 20,000 UK healthcare workers, the largest study in the world so far.

Public Health England regularly tested two matched groups of volunteers between June and November — 6,000 health workers who had previously been infected with coronavirus and 14,000 who had not.

People who had sars and mers have imunity to this day 15 and 17 years later!

  • COVID reinfections are unusual — but could still help the virus to spread

Over the course of the past year, reports of repeat infections with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus have shaken confidence in the immune system’s ability to sustain its defences against the virus. The interim results from the study, called SIREN, assuage some of those fears, said Susan Hopkins, senior medical adviser at Public Health England and the study’s lead investigator, in a press briefing. The data suggest that natural immunity might be as effective as vaccination, she added, at least over the five-month period the study has covered so far.

  • Two members of WHO team blocked from entering China over failed coronavirus antibody test

    https://news.google.com/articl…=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

Hong Kong(CNN)Two members of a World Health Organization (WHO) team investigating the origins of the coronavirus pandemic have been blocked from flying to China after failing a coronavirus antibody test.

An international team of 13 scientists was due to land in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, where cases of the coronavirus were first recorded in late 2019, on Thursday. But two members of that team remain in Singapore, the WHO said in a series of tweets, after they "tested positive for IgM antibodies."

IgM antibodies are among the earliest potential signs of a coronavirus infection, but could also appear in someone who has been vaccinated or previously infected (but is no longer a carrier) of the virus. False positives are also possible with such tests.

  • More than 90,000 Americans could die of Covid-19 in next three weeks, CDC forecast shows

    https://news.google.com/articl…=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

CNN)More than 38,000 Americans have died of Covid-19 in the first two weeks of the new year.

Another 92,000 are projected to die from the virus over roughly the next three weeks, according to an ensemble forecast published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The numbers are scary and reflect what public health experts have repeatedly warned: While the end is in sight -- with the help of ongoing Covid-19 vaccinations -- the nation is still facing challenging times ahead.

Those 90,000 projected deaths could be avoided with early treatment but hey the end is in sight, ya for all those patients in ICU.

  • Microbiomes' Might Influence COVID-19

    Severityhttps://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20210113/peoples-microbiomes-might-influence-covid-19-severity-study

Imbalance in the microbiome contributes to the severity of COVID-19, and if it persists after viral clearance, could contribute to persistent symptoms and multi-system inflammation syndromes like long COVID syndrome," said lead researcher Dr. Siew Ng, a professor from the Institute of Digestive Disease at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

"Restoration of the missing beneficial bacteria might boost our immunity against SARS-CoV2 virus and hasten recovery from the disease," she said. "Managing COVID-19 should not only aim at clearing the virus, but also restoring the gut microbiota."

If this is a cause than I suggest a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar for 7 days and you will have good gut bacteria, very simple and very easy

This is wrong. Most of them (95%) die because the US controlling fascistic "FM/R/J mafia" blocks the treatment of CoV-19 with Ivermectin!

This is also true for Alzheimer, morbus Chron etc. any many other health problems. Therapies will soon be available unless the mafia will block it by buying the companies that develop the working mixtures.

Yes, I read that study from Japan earlier this year. Doctors investigating long haulers might benefit from reading it. Simple ways to improve gut bacteria tea spoon of baking soda in water or a tea spoon of apple cider vinegar. Stay healthy!

  • Reeling from coronavirus, Asia's poultry farmers battle bird flu outbreak

    https://www.reuters.com/articl…lu-outbreak-idUSL4N2JI1PF

Asia’s chicken farmers are confronting the region’s worst bird flu outbreak in years, with the deadly virus affecting farms stretching from Japan to India, roiling some poultry prices and showing no signs of easing.

More than 20 million chickens have been destroyed in South Korea and Japan since November. The highly pathogenic H5N8 virus last week reached India, the world’s No. 6 producer, and has already been reported in 10 states.

While bird flu is common in Asia at this time of year due to migratory bird patterns, new strains of the virus have evolved to become more lethal in wild birds, making countries on flight pathways particularly vulnerable, say experts.

  • “IF”,

More than 90,000 Americans die in the next 3 weeks than the US will have ~ 100 times more deaths than mainland China?

Someone got some “splaining” to do Lucy.

  • That's if you believe china, if so I have a bridge you might be interested in.

    Exactly,

Either China is “massaging” their #’s, OR,

    conspiracy theorists unite.

This virus was manufactured and purpose built to “see what happens”.

If the results are satisfactory, when China is ready to expand in the east to Taiwan, North & South Korea and Japan, they take the virus out of hibernation, dump it at navy, Air Force and army bases globally and away they go.

    Who’s gonna stop em.

  • Colorado health officials continue to warn of mysterious MIS-C syndrome seen in children

    https://news.google.com/articl…=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

There have now been 29 cases confirmed in Colorado of a still-mysterious inflammatory syndrome seen in children and young adults that is believed to be an after-effect of the virus that causes COVID-19, state public health officials said Wednesday.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) said that Colorado hospitals reported the highest number of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) in December than had been reported thus far throughout the pandemic.

The department said that data corresponds with the spike in COVID-19 cases the state saw during October and November and that it expects the number of cases to grow as the CDC continues to review possible December cases.

Public health officials and scientists are still working to find out more about the syndrome, which most often appears in children who have had COVID-19 or been exposed to someone who had the virus. But the CDPHE said that the official cause of MIS-C has still not been determined

The department first warned about MIS-C back in May, when three children were confirmed to have the syndrome. By July, two people had died from MIS-C – deaths which the state said occurred in the spring.

The CDPHE said Wednesday there have been no further deaths linked with the syndrome, which generally affects children ages 5-15 but has been found in young adults up to age 20 – including a 20-year-old from Boulder County the local public health department identified in October.

  • SARS-CoV-2 Virus Infects Neurons and Damages Brain Tissue

    https://www.contagionlive.com/…-and-damages-brain-tissue

The findings demonstrated that the virus infected the neurons in the organoids and used them as a means for their own replication. The virus also seemed to replicate itself by boosting the infected cells metabolism, while the surrounding, uninfected neurons died due to a reduction in oxygen supply.

Additionally, the investigators behind the study analyzed brains of 3 patients who succumbed to COVID-19, and detected the virus in the cortical neurons of 1 of them. The infected regions of the brains were associated with ischemic infarcts, where a decrease in blood supply can cause localized damage to tissue and cell death.

The SARS-CoV-19 virus attacks all blood vessels (endothelium cells) and causes leaks no organ is an exception. That's why you need a two way working drug or 2 different drugs. One for stopping the replication and one to catch circulating virus. In the old HCQ protocol Doxy did stop the circulation, Ivermectin can do both. But in low dose it only catches virus for some time!

  • SIU researchers discover new COVID-19 variant

    https://news.google.com/articl…=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

It’s here. We found it,” Gagnon said in a press release. “It’s definitely home-grown and widespread, and we’re the first to characterize it.”

The team’s work traced the earliest appearance of the U.S. variant to Texas in May. Since then, Gagnon said the variant has acquired two new mutations.

“We predict that 20C-US may already be the most dominant variant of SARS-CoV-2 in the U.S.,” said Gagnon in an article on the discovery titled, “Emergence and Evolution of a Prevalent New SARS-CoV-2 Variant in the United States.”

Gagnon’s research looked at genomic surveillance of the virus as it works its way through a population. A press release from SIU says this type of research can lead to the early identification of new variants and help health authorities formulate appropriate responses.
