  • Tip of the Iceberg? Thousands of COVID Vaccine Injuries and 13 Deaths Reported in December Alone

    There is way too much conspiracy theory garbage in this discussion group these days. Weeks ago this was cited as a reliable source of information. Now the kooks have taken over, and credibility is falling. This website is about science. There are any number of websites devoted to anti-science lies and propaganda, so I think the kooks should go to one of those, such as Kennedy's.


    The article referenced above has many idiotic assertions, such as the suggestion that this is something we should be concerned about:


    A nursing home submitting a report on behalf of an 89-year-old who died five days after receiving the Moderna injection likewise wrote, “Due to proximity of vaccination we felt we should report the death, even though it is not believed to be related.”


    Is it somehow surprising or unusual that an 89-year-old person in a nursing home dies? This is an honest report from nursing home doctors. We can be sure they have seen many deaths, and they are good at judging the cause of death. This kind of report gives no basis to doubt the safety of the vaccine. It is just an inept attempt by the anti-science anti-vaccine death cults to sow doubts. This will kill people. Why should we allow that here? It is like promoting Trump's suggestion that you should drink or inject disinfectants.


    In recent weeks, nothing that Wyttenbach and the other extremist death-cult kooks here have written is fit for any scientific discussion. It has been nothing but delusion and lies.

    I don't think those promoting their anti-vax opinions here rise to the level of "anti-science", Their arguments are very sophisticated, and well informed. What I have read has been informative, and good to know info...although none of their arguments have come close to swaying me from my strong belief that vaccines are overwhelmingly positive for humanity.


    Everyone here is very educated, and I would think they can decide for themselves what to believe, without us trying to influence their decision through moderation. Most would consider it an insult if we tried, and I would not blame them.

    For a goverment bureaucracy, that is as good as giving the thumbs up, or at least making the first step towards...while covering their arse at the same time. :) Be interesting to see if the FDA reads this, and sees enough political cover to back off their stance against Ivermectin's use?

    Sorry Jed but the same argument is true for dying with positive PCR test. Did the old person die because of covid or because it was time to leave earth? In germany the official register counts all positive PCR tested dead people as corona deaths. Following the same logic it is only fair for the other side of the discussion ( the anti-science anti-vaccine death cults as you call them) to do the same. When you tell me how many people died of corona in the US you would use a number of a few hundred thousands (dont know the current number). CDC estimates that only 6% died of covid alone. So why do you use the high number and not the 6% version in an argument? So its not fair to keep spreading the hundred thousand number and with the same breath tell the vaccine sceptical people to use the scientifically correct wording.

    A trauma surgeon says X-rays from her COVID-19 patients often come back with scarring and that they “look worse than any type of terrible smoker’s lung.”


    Dr. Brittany Bankhead-Kendall, an assistant professor of surgery with Texas Tech University, recently tweeted, “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but ‘post-Covid’ lungs look worse than ANY type of terrible smoker’s lungs we’ve ever seen.”

    How many people with COVID-19 lose their sense of smell?

    The exact percentage varies between studies, but most suggest that smell loss is a common symptom.


    One review published last June1 compiled data from 8,438 people with COVID-19, and found that 41% had reported experiencing smell loss. In another study, published in August2, a team led by researcher Shima T. Moein at the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences in Tehran, Iran, administered a smell-identification test to 100 people with COVID-19 in which the subjects sniffed odours and identified them on a multiple-choice basis. Ninety-six per cent of the participants had some olfactory dysfunction, and 18% had total smell loss (otherwise known as anosmia).


    Anosmia is a common symptom in the northern hemisphere during flu and cold season, it's usually treated with zinc and vitamin B1 by most primary care doctors. Why now that covid has the same symptom have medicine think it needs to be treated differently?

    Dr. Scott Gottlieb emphasized the importance of getting as many people vaccinated as possible, and warned of a potentially dire spring and summer without protective immunity as new Covid variants appear across the globe.


    "If we can't get more protective immunity into the population, we could be facing a situation where we have, sort of, a perpetual infection heading into the spring and summer as these variants get a foothold here," said the former FDA chief in the Trump administration in an interview on CNBC's "The News with Shepard Smith" on Thursday evening.


    Without approval of early outpatient treatment the death toll will be enormous rivaling the second wave of the spanish flu pandemic.

    Norway said Covid-19 vaccines may be too risky for the very old and terminally ill, the most cautious statement yet from a European health authority as countries assess the real-world side effects of the first shots to gain approval.


    Norwegian officials said 23 people had died in the country a short time after receiving their first dose of the vaccine. Of those deaths, 13 have so far been autopsied, with the results suggesting that common side effects may have contributed to severe reactions in frail, elderly people, according to the Norwegian Medicines Agency.

    Researchers in Europe and the United States have demonstrated the potential of the influenza drug enisamium as a treatment for infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) – the agent that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).


    Aartjan te Velthuis from the University of Cambridge in the UK and colleagues showed that enisamium prevented SARS-CoV-2 replication in human cell lines and stopped viral RNA synthesis in vitro.


    Furthermore, in a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial of adults hospitalized with COVID-19, enisamium significantly reduced recovery time among patients who required supplementary oxygen.


    The drug is already clinically approved for use against influenza in eleven different countries. Furthermore, enisamium does not require intravenous administration and could be used outside of the hospital setting.

    No, the arguments are pure bullshit. It is all anti-science hysteria. It is based on superstition, medieval ignorance, and the desire to control people with fear, destroying their lives or killing them, if that is what it takes. Anti-vaccine people are self-appointed authorities who will do anything to prevent other people from being safe, happy, and independent. Anything, including murdering their own children. They want to kill another 400,000 people, or 4 million, or however many it takes to enforce their regime of fear. They are a death cult -- along with faith healers and people who oppose other public health measures, such as wearing masks in a pandemic, or driving at the speed limit. They want us to live in a sewer.

Grant predicted the rise of such people: "If we are to have another contest in the near future of our national existence, I predict that the dividing line will not be Mason and Dixon's but between patriotism and intelligence on the one side, and superstition, ambition and ignorance on the other."

    Either that, or is an honest scientific judgement. When scientists say "I don't know," that's a good thing. They often do not know. They should say that, up front. You don't want them to pretend they know, or to make unfounded recommendations. (Inevitably they will make mistakes and announce faulty recommendations, but let's try to minimize that.) Ignorant members of the public often think that scientists are all-knowing wizards who have all the answers. The public thinks there is no ambiguity and no unanswered questions.


    Anti-vaccine death cult kooks such as Wyttenbach imagine that they themselves are all-knowing and omniscient, and they imagine scientists are as well. They think they know everything; the scientists also know everything, and the scientists secretly agree with them. Thus, any scientist who disagrees is lying, and is a criminal mafia member. That's the "logic" of it. It starts with the notion that people -- especially Wyttenbach himself -- are perfect, all-knowing geniuses.

    I distinguish between those advocating that all vaccines are bad, versus those arguing specifically about these new COVID vaccines. The former as far as I am concerned, is a largely settled science and tend to tune out much of the discussion as a result, while there is still much we do not know about the COVID vaccines.

    Those are front line workers. Many are doctors, nurses and well educated specialists. Are they anti-vaxers? I don't think so, so we should not lump them into the same group as the anti-vax movement. Same goes for this discussion.

    Okay, maybe they don't actually want that, but they would rather see that happen than admit they are wrong, and that home remedies do not work, and medical science does work. They would kill hundreds of thousands more people if that is what takes to control us. They want to keep us mired in fear, loneliness, ignorance, poverty, disease and death. It really is a death cult. That is no exaggeration.

    Those arguments are mistaken. Tens of thousands of COVID vaccines were administered before approval, in the largest medical studies in history. No evidence for harm was found. Millions of COVID vaccines have been administered already. There is no sign of significant danger.


    Furthermore, if the vaccines are not administered, we can be absolutely certain that many millions more people will die worldwide, and tens of millions will be disabled for life. A million or more will die in the U.S. alone. Only a vaccine can prevent this. The home remedies promoted by the death cult here and elsewhere are no more effective than witch-doctoring or faith healing. Which risk would you rather take? The remote possibility that a few people will be harmed by the vaccine, or the certain death and prolonged agony of millions more? Not to mention the effects of children not going to school, old people prisoners in their houses, and the economy in ruins. I though you were opposed to lockdowns. The choice is either permanent lockdowns lasting for years, or vaccination. Which do you want?

    Apparently, 60% of health care workers are ignorant members of the death cult. The people who want millions more to die in support of their superstitions. They resemble the people from 1860 to 1917 who did not believe in the germ theory or pasteurization, and who killed countless small children.

    Those are front line workers. Many are doctors, nurses and well educated specialists. Are they anti-vaxers?

    Yes, by definition. And they are wannabe mass murderers, like the German concentration camp doctors. They should have their medical licenses revoked. What else are they in favor of? Performing surgery without gloves or masks? Treating wounds with red hot iron? Not giving women painkillers during childbirth, because the Bible says women are supposed to suffer while giving birth? How many other barbaric medical "treatments" will we allow?
