Newest trend for vaccinated and death in Switzerland is close to 30% of the deaths are double vaxx. (Still vax :: unvaxx is close to 1:1)

I have a better idea. Before you dismiss it out of hand let me just say it is maybe the most certain way to eliminate the virus entirely:

(1) create an ecosystem sperm and egg bank with robotic "life restart" systems in a bomb and radiation-proof bunker

(2) nuke the whole world, get rid of all potential human and other animal carriers

(3) restart life anew in 50 years (after radiation has reduced), without Trump, antivaxxers, republicans, democtas, etc ,etc.

As we say from mark u's link, sometimes NOTHING helps. Those with prior infection can get infected and die. But of course there are always outliers and both prior covid infection and vaccination reduce risk.

It is ironic. I've noted many people on the antivaxxer side of the argument berate me and others for spreading FUD.

This comment, typical antivaxxer move-the-goalposts spin, full of pessimism and FUD, seems to be because now that with vaccines things are overall looking pretty good, the antivaxxers have to change the script?

I think maybe it is an internet thing:

Divisions are heightened and become more tribal.

While cancel culture is used generally to apply to the left it works on both sides where comment that is not approved of is silenced.

There is another aspect of it, which is when people cry cancel culture when equal platform is not given to one extreme view or another. The whole point about small minority extremes is that they should be heard as a small part of the total conversation. They have utility in keeping everyone else on their toes, but not if views that very few people actually think are correct get debated as equal partners with much more probable views.

Social media has a habit of amplifying the interesting extremes and minimising the boring most likely middle ground.

The vaccination status of a person is irrelevant to the "danger" they pose to others and the QR code is an invasion of privacy and a surveillance and control system that is being imposed without any scientific basis. To further your analogy I would liken the vax passport as being equivalent to allowing vaccinated individuals to drive through red lights at 60 mph or fire pistols into crowds. A two tiered society with different sets of rules for each tier.

1. mRNA COVID vaccines cannot affect DNA. They are not "gene therapy."

2. They do protect against infection. See the data from Japan, for example:

3. Vaccines reduce the likelihood of spreading the virus. First, by eliminating most cases. As shown in that graph, right there. When people do not get sick, they don't infect others. Second, by reducing the duration and severity of breakthrough cases.
