Charles Baudette died on Sunday 9th August. He authored the excellent book "Excess Heat: Why Cold Fusion Research Prevailed" , was also an engineering graduate of MIT and successful businessman. Another of the old guard gone.
RIP Charles Baudette.

Really Sad to get news about his demise. Hope he passed in peace and that his family was with him and prepared for his departure. Another great gone. So Sad. 😔

I have Excess Heat sitting on the top of my 'to read' pile, right by my side as I type. I'm only a tourist to the field, but I think that everybody who has given their time and energy to LENR deserves such respect. It's no easy thing to buck the current.
Rest in peace.

Peace of mind to his family

Marianne Macy has given me permission to add the following thoughts:-
Charles Beaudette's research material is available to the public at the Marriott Library at the University of Utah. He felt he had done his master work and wanted researchers to have access to his source material. He was a gentleman, a scholar and a great writer. At ICCF14 Charles Beaudette presented a think piece for the country histories, which Christy Frazier will make available in Infinite Energy. His book is essential to understanding the start of this field. Here is Jed Rothwell's review of it from Infinite Energy:
Book Review: Excess Heat: Why Cold Fusion Research ...

Great book, one of the 3 I advise always.
So sad.
I hope his archive will be exploited as it deserves.
Regards to his beloved.

This is true,
Ponds and Fleishman were ostracized,
brilliant men kicked to the curb of science,
getting barely a passing glance or a cursory nod to their works.
There is a poster here, I think from France who was very high on Baudette’s work, Alainco I believe?

His book is great, this is the one I always advise first to non scientist, to understand the basics, and the history...
I love this page, it tells the most important...
Anyway each chapter is great.

Christy Frazier has written a biography of Charles, and posted it on the web site of Infinite Energy: http://infinite-energy.com/resources/charles-beaudette.html It is a good story.
