    LANR Engineering -

Imaging Has Yielded Gouts of Cold Fusion/LANR Information
to the Electricals in CF, This is a continuation of a series on WORKING CF/LANR systems wrought by electrical engineering ["EE"]. It appears that some of the best WORKING CF/LANR/LENR systems require EE for optimal operation and achievement of the desired active state, and EE developed the myriad means we use of recording data - and this is some of the story.

Russell Kirsch: Pixel Pioneer And The Father Of Digital Imaging

Russell Kirsch (**) made the first digital image scanner, and thus the pixel was born as he imaged his 3 month old son, Walden, in 1957. Using a rotating drum scanner, a strobe illumination, and a photomultiplier vacuum tube, the resultant first pixelized pic is below.

From the evolution of that system, has come gifs, jpegs.JPEG and GIF both store images, but JPEG uses a lossy compression algorithm whereas GIF uses a lossless compression algorithm. And we all have used them (and the successors) routinely in CF/LANR, for example from the pictures of the late Prof. Srinivasan's emitting CF/LANR Ti electrode, to the visible and infrared pictures we took as in situ photos during many of our excess heat runs (and controls), and even to our group pics at ICCF meetings.

Video imaging, thereafter, has been very important for us enabling in situ examination of the LANR/CF cathodes. These cameras -IR and visible- were placed up v. close, and the pics/videos have confirmed our Q1D equations. They have made active CF/LANR more easily achievable for XSH this way. The vids/pics also made clear that perhaps a number of people (many) in this field are essentially in denial of the facts, accepting consensus as to what is going, ignoring access to some of the better, more efficient, useful types of CF/LANR systems during their controlled optimal operation thus yielding improved excess heat activity.
In any case, in all our work the pictures/vids (like Chino's above) declare the Truth, and some (like the assymetrically bubbling Pd cathode(s) in high impedance solution shown below) were so disturbing that my friend Mike McKubre was so incredulousat the time, that he injected his opinion about this, that the bubbling on one side of the cathode "could not exist",even while I was speaking in the middle of my Tuesday morning lecture
at ICCF-10 [and even as the demonstration proving it exists, and its impact, was in its active state upstairs in the RLE building at MIT where the ICCF-10 group would be headed later that Tuesday afteroon.

heat, as discussed in Swartz M., Verner G., et al., Non-Thermal
Near-IR Emission from High Impedance and Co-deposition LANR Devices,
    Proc. ICCF-14 1, (2008), p 343; 978-0-578-06694-3, 343, (2010)]

Some of our early low res pics are above. Others, later became high res, including the cathodic Schlieren video imaging made on some of our better CF/LANR system 'lab rats' as shown/discussed at several MIT Colloquia. Even later, other helpful types of imaging included those images obtained from CR-39 presented at ICCF-18, and those that picked up the incredibly useful coherent antiStokes emissions and the recently perceived deuterium-line RF emissions [maser and sidebands as super-hyperfine lines] caught by a graphic waterfall SDR [ICCF-22].

In summary, the efficiency - and type - of Pd loading is CRITICAL, as are control of the other critical D fluxes [**]. The control requires using the Q-1-D equations (more 411 coming soon, btw), which have led to more info, ideas, secondary paths, and discoveries
on unexplored trails which others outside this field purport "do not even exist". [**] The Q-1-D loading model is covered in the papers previously discussed. After achieving control of such CF/LANR 'lab rats', in addition to calorimetry it has been the in situ images which have made historic salient confirmations and unexpected discoveries for us.

The CF/LANR pictures, & the videos, and hours of recordings at very system high voltages, and even the demo @MIT that week of ICCF-10, have saliently shown, and repeatedly confirmed, exactly how to
control the loading of the PdD alloy, required to produce an active CF/LANR state pumping out the desired XSH, coherent anti-Stokes signals, and Deuterium Line RF emissions.

This "first digital image" is obviously wrong. The Germans already, during WWII, used digital faxes that were awfully slow... Television broadcast was ready for the pre-war Berlin Olympics. So may be he first invented a tool we could use together with a computer!

Changed the title of the thread from “Dr. Mitchell Swartz on the role of the Electrical Engineer in LANR.” to “Dr. Mitchell Swartz and the NANOR”.
  • However he continue to do the "show" at each Lenr event.. that means probably he highly trusts in himself ahahaha

Is Jet Energy preparing to Market its Nanor Lenr Device? - Cold Fusion (freeenergyplanet.biz)

Someone posted this recently dated article today. It sounds old to me, as if it was written years ago. As far as I know Swartz has been quiet for some time and has not made any realistic move to commercialize. Anyone have an update?

  • Television broadcast was ready for the pre-war Berlin Olympics.

The UK BBC started public broadcasting in London only in 1938. It was shut down during the war, since the transmitter was in central London and there were concerns that it could be used as a navigation aid for bombers. One of my relatives had a TV set then, and there were so few viewers that they were all invited to a garden party in Summer 1939.

I think all of us would like to know more. When an inventor announces a breakthrough, forms a company to commercialize, then nothing happens, I think we deserve an explanation as to why it never happened. Maybe knowing the whole story will help others in the future.

Unfortunately, there are many examples of this in LENR. It certainly makes it harder to sell the science. Very frustrating.

  • These pages might help answer about the status of Jet. There are several email addresses scattered through the links.

The Cold Fusion Times seems recently abandoned since September 2020. https://theworld.com/~mica/cft.html

  • I believe Swartz ran Cold Fusion Times, so that would explain that. He used to put his political views on there.

  • But Swartz went a long way to commercialisation, even trademarking his NANOR device. If he has left the field, or indeed been silenced by censorship of Cold Fusion Times, this is a great loss to LENR, CMNS or the newer incarnation of S-SAFE. Is he still alive? I remember his solution to COVID posted earlier here was to drink vast quantities of alcohol..............?

Mitch is very much alive and needling everybody as usual. I expect he will be at ICCF-24

  • If he has left the field, or indeed been silenced by censorship of Cold Fusion Times,

No one can censor it. It is his website. He can upload anything he wants to it. There is no mechanism or law that would allow any person or government agency to censor it. No website in the U.S. can be censored, except for things like libel or child porn. No one would claim there is anything like that at Cold Fusion Times.

If he were publishing information that upset people, and they "doxxed" him, I suppose that might be censorship. But no one cares about the content of Cold Fusion Times, or LENR-CANR.org. I have never gotten so much as a complaint, never mind a threat. The only negative thing that has happened is that a few times publishers asked me to remove papers because of copyright violations. I did. It was no big deal. A few authors asked me to remove papers as well. Again, no big deal.
