The European LENR project HERMES

  • "First of the major publications coming out of HERMES project is out now. We are looking at fundamental aspects of proton electroreduction at Pd surfaces."

  • teppo The paper seems to be basic science research, about metallurgy details on PdH. Can you explain if there are key finding , beyond measuring parameters. I see it may give hints how to optimize Pd nanostructures?

Sorry, I'm not part of the project nor any expert, so I can't really help.

But yes, to me it seems to be dealing with the optimization of nanostructures to find the greatest activity, i.e. the creation of foundations for further research.

Can someone with better understanding comment on this?

  • This is not specific to LENRs that researchers manage to find money for any research useful or not in order to fill their bank account each 31st .

It already exists dozen and dozen papers on the net in this way of investigation...

There is a lot of voltametry results that have already been explored by SKINR, Violente, Google-sponsored, etc...

It adds some DFT calculations and the big chunk is on this n-EC-STM which I find very interesting. Overall, not a ground shaking paper, but it shows their research path, they wan to do systematic analysis of the electrochemical process and the crystal changes induced by the formation of PdH hydride.

This will be useful research in my opinion.

On the political side, they are very cautious. F&P paper is only cited in the 39th reference, but too bad for them, the formatting put it right at the top of the last page. "God has it ways..." :)

  • Hello Mathieu

That you've been coming to us for a long time, if you help me, at least I'll know what you've been doing...
