Turne the Van de Graaff generator inside out!

    Traditional physic uses static HV for the nuclear processes stimulation widely. For example, let's look at the Van de Graaff generator (VdG-generator). The linear accelerators that can demolish nuclei are constructed based on it. They use high potential between the ground and the external surface of the VdG-generators sphere.


    However, we are non-traditional physicists. And we have to look for some alternatives. One guy has done it with the VdG-generator. He turned it inside out. He uses INTERNAL SPACE of the VdG-generators sphere (it is no potential there!) to treat radioactive materials (see https://patents.google.com/patent/US4961880A/en).


    I am looking for information about confirmations or about the replications of this experiment.

  • Trouble is - the energy relreased by cold fusion in the Van-der-Graaf generator produces neutrons just like lightning does where undoubtedly Kaos -Pions-Muons reaction cascade occurs. Now if the energy released it will induce combustion and burn out of the equipment . You have to do it in a low temperature PLASMA!

  • YES GRANITE the hardest and cheapest and most heat-resistant substance on the planet. Or a DIAMOND but think of the COST! As it is we have to find the money for gold, silver, ppalladium and platinum! and D20 and HHO etc etc and pure iron plate electrodes and a power souirce (generator or mains) to drive the brute. This is serious stuff containing a up to 10,000 C plasma!

    granite has a melting point of 1260C in the absence of H20

    zircon ( ZrSiO4)which is a common trace mineral in granites

    has a melting point of 2190 C when pure...


    Zircon is one of the first minerals to crystallise from cooling magma.


    The zirconia (ZrO2) used in Takahashi et al's reactor material as a support has

    a MP of 2715 C..

  • ZrO2 is fine as a catalyst but is soft so will run down very quickly because the structure deforms That explains the TRANSIENTS of their ENERGY release but yes POWER overall shows a clear Excess Heat signature in the infra-red. What about gammas? Have they measured them but turned a 'blind eye' to the data about neutron release too? This is highly dangerous without 10 mm Pb or 100 mm granite sheet shielding (think of granite worktops!?) So a CF/LENR reactor would just melt if built with ZrO2 ceramic made from powder. Not the same as a substance hardened by Nature a billion billion years ago!

    There appear to be neglible gammas for measerement.. . few neutrons... compared to the size of the excess heat output.. now thay are looking for low kev (5-50 kev) with a SPSS detector...

  • Methodical work.. the brilliance will be to work out the mechanism of LENR tht produces excees heat without socalled ash.. neutrons and hard gamma..


    The Russian Helis faculity does 25 keV bombardment..but even here there may be important

    signs of protons energy levels in the +- 1 kev +_ 2 keV range

    This has been obtained by good accurate SDD method down to 5 kev ..

    Their explanation of "diffraction" is only an idea without theoretical backup.

  • I looked at W. Barker's patent and didn't understand it . Inside a high-voltage terminal of a Van Der Graaf generator, there is no field. This is Van Der Graaf's main invention, as load conveyor belt machines were invented in France by Rouland. He was the first researcher to exceed one million volts. The Rouland Machine was installed in the stairwell of a castle. The belts were of silk. Obviously in winter it didn't work, because of the humidity.

    About Granite : I’m afraid than granite is not very heat-resistant, because it contain a lot of water. (It is paradoxical, because it seem not "wet" at the first glance. But this stone was cristallised under high pressures, deep inside the earth.



    Heated with a oxypropane flame, it began to sputter and then melts. After cooling, it’s not granite anymore, but of dirty dark lava.



    For example, the two granite mountains that lie beneath New York were formed several kilometers underground, when the forgotten continents collided and formed Pangea. There was a large mountain range there, of which only the Appalachians remain.



    And then erosion eroded this American Himalaya, and the continents said "goodbye" again. The glaciers which descended from Labrador towards Philadelphia ended up exposing these two granite hills. When the glaciers went up, there were two “sugar loaves” like in Rio de Janeiro at the place of Manhattan. Then the sea level rose more than 100 meters, and the first "sugar loaf" disappeared under the sediments of the Hudson River. The Wall Street Buildings and the Twin Towers cut their foundations in this granite. You can still see the top of the second “Sugar Loaf” as you walk through the Park. The Rockefeller Center, the Chrisler and the Empire State Building are rooted in this second block.


    Between the two granite blocks was a swampy area where tall buildings cannot be built, and that's why Greenwich Village has kept its look.

    Oh, no! Granite is the worst choice for something that will be heated periodically. The heat resistance of granite is very, very bad! Granite is NOT the hardest substance! Granite is a very fragile substance! Silica glass - maybe as an option, granite- never!

    Cubic ZrO2 is harder than granite.
