A metal alloy spoon deformed as a result of the Uri Geller phenomenon was examined using an X-ray spectral microanalyzer. In the middle of the twisted part of the spoon, a zone was found, at the border and near which a redistribution of the concentration of alloy elements occurred. In the region of deformation, the structure became more finely dispersed, with many specific microcracks near the zone. The complex picture of the revealed changes is similar to the thermal effect, which passed through a local transformation zone of the "scale" type.
"Conclusions"
As a result of micro-X-ray spectral study of metal alloy samples, it can be stated that approximately in the middle of the twisted part of the spoon, an impact zone was found with dimensions: length: 100 + 150 μm, width: 20 + 40 μm, extending into the sample by: 20 μm. Bright events took place on the border of the zone and near it. With the general composition of the homogeneous alloy - iron and chromium - a redistribution of the concentration of alloy elements was found, possibly due to their diffusion under the influence of energy.
