Ultra-dense hydrogen and Rydberg matter—a more informal general discussion thread

  • This is very similar with my(and Vavra Jerry et.al.) theory od Cold Fusion and so I sent the paper to the authors.

    Thsnk you for your information.

We discuss the signatures of electron states which are highly localized around the nucleus. A theory of electron transitions into such highly localized states is proposed, with good correspondence to the observed reaction dynamics. Understanding the underlying nuclear reaction requires further investigation. With respect to applications, the discovered process implies the possibility of sustainable energy productionfrom fuels comprising hydrogen, nickel, and lithium

  • Interesting finding Lou. Worth having a look at.

However this does not seem to be related to ultra dense hydrogen. Hydrogen is not mentioned as a key element.

Nor is Rydberg matter mentioned. However the lithium mentioned might be brought into a Rydberg state looking at the temperatures applied. Not sure they have Rydberg matter in mind but maybe they did not mention it on purpose.

If one sees conditions where Rydberg matter can form, is quite possible that is happening even if the researcher or inventor is completely unaware of it.

which enable the presence of metastable electron orbitals, highly localized electron orbitals and/or close electron-nucleus proximity orbitals ("Electron Mediated Nuclear Reaction Promoting Orbitals" or EMNRPOs) around a nucleus in the fuel. Said orbitals may have "Electron Mediated Nuclear Reaction Promoting Orbital Electrons" (EMNRPOEs) having "Electron Mediated Nuclear Reaction Promoting Orbital Electron Total Energies" (EMNRPOETEs).

  • The unidentified infrared bands and the spectrum of atomic hydrogen

    F Zagury - 2021
This letter compares the footprints on a spectral axis of the main unidentified infrared

emission bands (UIBs) with the recombination lines of atomic hydrogen. The

comparison shows striking correspondences, suggesting that atomic hydrogen may

be involved in the production of UIBs.

Among other carrier(s) that have been suggested in the literature, Rydberg matter (atoms or molecules, including hydrogen atoms, excited to high Rydberg states) proposed by Holmlid (2000) provides the closest match to the present finding.

  • Sad, and also looks bad:

"fundamental doubt from Dag and Sindre Z Gundersen about the R&D work done

    by Professor Leif Holmlid.

This contradicts the pending crowdfunding on Sindre's aim.

The text of the crowdfunding description has been altered such that it does not mention Holmlid anymore, but still refers to the University Of Gotenborg.

Sounds like a conflict of interests.

Holmlid is one of the main shareholders of NFE (approx. 24%).

  • Let's see what the main shareholders have to say on this.

The biggest issue might be the key patent application, assigned to NFE, which was turned down by the patent offices.
This makes all published insights public domain which decreases a solid business model significantly.

Another issue might be the focus on muon catalyzed fusion versus focus on annihilation energy harvesting.

I have the impression that Holmlid more and more favored focus on harvesting annihilation harvesting while Sindre seems to focus on muon catalyzed fusion (given the description of current crowdfunding project).

Best future options would be universities to pick up the research, although they became increasingly focussed on patenting technologies as well. Many universities have the required infrastructures though, which makes investments less costly.

  • I have good reason to believe that there is no problem with Holmlid's work, however, there are problems with who gets what slice of the pie.

That is not what the statement from Nilsen and Tornberg sounds like.

" ... fundamental doubt from Dag and Sindre Z Gundersen about the R&D work done
by Professor Leif Holmlid. As you all know, the work of Professor Leif Holmlid was the fundament for
    NFE’s mission."

It sounds like the Zeiner-Gundersens have fundamental doubt about Holmid's research. Fundamental doubt. A problem with Holmid's work sort of doubt. Not slicing-up-pie doubt.

I wonder if Nilsen and Tornbeg realize that it sounds this way.

  • "LH has partial ownership of the company Norrönt Fusion Energy which develops fusion energy reactors using ultradense hydrogen. The company felt that there is a risk that other companies may learn more rapidly how to produce ultradense hydrogen from this review. However, I believe strongly in free exchange of ideas and results in science and technology for the benefit of all,n. LH declares that he has no known competing financial interests or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in this paper."

  • No. I am correct. Correct about the way the statement sounds. About the way it is written. It sounds as though the Gundersens have doubts about Holmid's science.

I continue to wonder if Nilsen and Tornbeg realize this.

We all read it that way Bruce, but it is wrong info. Not your fault. Hopefully a little more info will be made public so members don't have to take Alan's word on it.

  • About the way it is written. It sounds as though the Gundersens have doubts about Holmid's science.

How do you explain the crowdfunding project by Sindre happening in parallel?

It clearly indicates this is based on Holmlid's work without mentioning Holmlid and contradicts the content of the letter to NFE's shareholders.

Sindre and Dag are main shareholders and operators of NFE.

Why do you think they did not take the responsibility themselves to inform shareholders?

This is a careful game being played to minimize reputation damage caused by other conflicts of interests.
