Abstract

A low energy nuclear reactor (LENR) is provided for producing thermal energy. The LENR includes first and second vessels and an ignitor. The first vessel defined a first chamber containing LENR fuel. The second vessel disposed inside the first vessel defines a second chamber containing exothermic material. The ignitor initiates the exothermic material by sparking. The LENR fuel reacts to produce the thermal energy in response to initiation heat from the exothermic material.

This patent is a bombshell (not literally we hope!). It seems to describe a working device where a LENR reaction is initiated by thermite, and electricity is extracted by Seebeck type thermoelectric devices. It will be interesting to see how the USPTO deals with this:

Well... for sure a good news, but nothing really impressive and new in the document. They simply replicated Rossi in a quite trivial way. In comparison dr. Parkhomov did a much more sophisticated work.

However, IMO the most important points are those not explicitely written:

1. It is at least the second confirmation that Rossi's "recipe" really work (BTW, there are many similarities with Rossi's patents and declarations, this means that they carefully studied them and probably witnessed or obtained some convincing results)...
2. this is probably the first istitutional document that clearly states that LENR actually exists and works (other patents and papers always avoided to state it clearly);
3. this patent teach (or confirm) us something important: the reaction, in this form, needs a very high temperature to be initiated and probably a very fast temperature rise. The structure of the reactor and the very high temperature may be a confirmation of Parkhomov's theory about thermal neutrinos playing a key role in the process;
4. the patent is quite useless as a patent, since there are thousands of similar but different implementations that can do the same thing, completely bypassing the patent. I think it is more a way to timidly come out than an actual strategic filing;
5. the simplicity of the implementation, its mechanical form and its "one shot" conception are more suiteble for weapons than for practical applications...

An advice, leave Parkhomov because he is far far behind
