US Navy new LENR patent application (25/03/2021)

  • Jed might confirm this... someday.

Rossi and the Navy have been swapping notes and friendly assistance since the first demo.

The U.S. has had a multi pronged LENR Manhattan Project since '89. This is not a 'conspiracy theory', nor was the 'Manhattan Project ' considered such. The strategic importance of having a non-radioactive nuclear dense energy source was understood by the military immediately. They have cracked the cold fusion puzzle at least a decade ago (see Guam). Improvements are still being made. The most advanced CMNS LENR energy tech and applied engineering entering the market is from these efforts.

We will see more research disclosure and a slew of more advanced patents published over the next year. This recent patent is just an introductory/disclosure and will be replaced with a much better iteration.

Louis DeChiaro has been helping coordinate the U.S. DoD multi laboratory LENR efforts in Washington DC Branch Q as stated in his IEEE bio from the Hagelstein/DeChiaro IEEE CMNS workshop a few years back.

Anyways, what we are seeing now is the release of works held back for security/strategic concerns. The multi lab effort/research, at Indian Head, being announced/planned now is nothing new. Here is evidence.

This paper has not been published/released yet (perhaps one of you can find it) but the works within it are beginning to be cleared for public consumption. The paper is referenced (ref #12) in a paper presented by Pam (SPAWAR/GEC) at ICCF21 titled, "Overview of Pd/D Co-Deposition" P. Boss, L. Forsley, F. Gordon

The referenced paper's title is, "A Multi-Laboratory Study of Anomalous Elements and Magnetic Orientation Effects in LENR Co-Deposition Experiments, Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren (Indian Head Division) 2018" The lead author is Louis DeChiaro. Note that some of the other authors are found in the NASA AEC and Lattice Confinement Fusion patents and research papers as well as the inventor(s ) of the patent discussed on this thread. The important and essential PineScie working theory and computer modeling of the LENR reactive environment has yet to be released.

    These other authors are...

    L.P.G. Forsley

    P.A. Mosier-Boss

    B.M. Steinetz

    R.C. Hendricks

    K.J. Long

    P. Rayms-Keller

    M.J. Shea

    S. Barker

    T.L. Benyo

    D.L. Ellis

    I. Locci

    D. Johnson

    W.D. Jennings

It's heartening to see these folks publicly working together...

The Co-Deposition Protocol is the most successfully replicated and published research pathway...

The PineScie advanced theory and computer modeling most likely expounds on it. Hopefully we will find a way to access to it soon...

Yes. I've thought for a while that the co-dep protocol was the work most likely to 'break through', as it were. One lives in hope.

I look at the timeline of Rossi's demonstrations and the coincidence of breakthrough disclosure, LENR Thermal technology readiness a decade ago followed by ?coincidentally? LENR Electric technology rollout announced the same year. The Industrial Heat continuing saga lent pause, which still provides ongoing causal consideration.

The story seems orchestrated, the timing sweet, the outcome really rosy for Rossi Industrial Heat and others who are stepping into this part of (IH) planned CMNS energy tech market entry.

Yes, coincidence is not causal evidence.

A well considered hunch is all I imagine...

  • Not a single proof Rossi and the Navy have been swapping notes and friendly assistance since the first demo.

There is only public information there was a short period after the first demo that NASA has been in contact with Rossi.

Thanks, I am well aware of this important point.

When evidence arises that the DoD has had LENR Electric long before Rossi...

Yet that may not be the case.

I am strongly opinionated in this, The Navy/JWK/SPAWAR/GEC/NASA/DeChiaro et.al. consortium has been well ahead of Leonardo Corporation in LENR energy tech readiness. A mutually beneficial developmental/timing/market entry discussion between these two groups is not unimaginable.

  • A Multi-Laboratory Study of Anomalous Elements and Magnetic Orientation Effects in LENR Co-Deposition Experiments, Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren (Indian Head Division) 2018" The lead author is Louis DeChiaro

I cannot find #Ref 12 in "Outline" and it is not mentioned..

    in MosierBoss.'s RG paper.. Synopsis

maybe the DOD removed the reference til the appropriate time...

Mosier-Boss and Forsley’s chapter in the book recently edited by Biberian contains the same reference (#23).

  • Dr. Louis F. DeChiaro

    Biography:

Louis F. DeChiaro was awarded the Ph.D. Degree in Physics in 1979 from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey. From 1979 to 2002, he served as an Electronics Engineer / researcher in the telecommunications industry at Bell Laboratories and Telcordia Technologies, retiring in 2002 as a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff. From 2002 to 2006, he served as an Associate Professor of Computational Science and a founding member of the new Computational Science Program at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. He joined the US Navy as a civilian Physicist in September, 2006 and since 2009 been performing investigations in LENR physics and supporting the EMC efforts of Branch Q51 at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, VA. During the period 2010-2012 he was on special assignment at the Naval Research Labs, Washington, D.C. in their experimental LENR group. Dr. DeChiaro is a member of Tau Beta Pi.

  • JWK is the parent corporation of GEC.

    Jay Wook Khim at GEC.

These are the GEC LENR energy tech products entering the market.

To paraphrase Dennis Bushnell 2012 LENR is not a narrow bandset of physical phenomena... many materials and excitation methods...

The inventors of the recent Navy patent are certainly working with these more advanced LENR energy tech reactors as well as the one presented. Why they lay claim to a portion of Rossi's patented process is beyond me...

  • For comparison, the PineScie patent from the Lattice Confinement Fusion folks...
