The Long Awaited Dec 9th 2021 Ecat SKLed and SKLep Presentation Thread

  • The market IS the final arbiter, in the sense that once devices are in the market, the crowd will come to a conclusion on its veracity. The problem with your argument is that some within the scientific community have worked extremely hard to erect a reputation trap for anyone who dare test a device that might threaten their funding and sacrosanct theories.

If you believe it's worth it forge on through the "reputation trap".

  • The notion that "some within the scientific community" are responsible for preventing a meaningful test of Rossi's devices is truly laughable. There is absolutely zero chance that Rossi would allow anyone independent and competent to touch his precious junk. If you believe otherwise, you are delusional :(and Rossi loves you for it.)

Please post the name/contact info of a credentialed scientist (PhD in the pertinent field, well-published and respected among his/her peers, and perhaps a professor of science) who has agreed with you to test Rossi's ep. Then, we can go from there.

    Hi IHFB

IH tsted Rossi's stuff - see what happened then...

There are many reliable test houses (with reputations) who will test things. A black box EKLep test would be super easy - bulletproof - and cheap. From a good test house it would be good evidence, enough to get a lot of other people interested.

Genuine academics not likely to agree to test for free now, the story ATM does not look like anything interesting - have better things to do with their time.

If Rossi were genuine of course he could get his prototype certified as (100X) over unity (rather than just certified for safety).

    If it actually worked.

If the device works it wont matter,

But nothing that Rossi has ever made has ever produced Energy Out > Energy In.

You can only ignore this incontrovertible fact for so long before the crushing grip of common sense logic reason and math ends this farce for you as it ended it for me 11 years ago.

  • THHuxleynew There is plenty of evidence for the existence of a 'reputation trap'. Here's a festive-season appropriate version.

Alan the term “reputation trap” is as subjective as “more, some, higher maybe, better, good etc.

As regards Rossi, it doesn’t even deserve consideration.

If it was Pons, Fleishman, NASA, Boeing, MIT, then yes, but not Rossi.

  • LOL.

That essay (from a philosopher) uses Rossi as evidence.

Given that Rossi is a flake (to put it charitably and not use the s word) it is not evidence.

    What evidence?

We need a working new-technology device that scientists have all refused to test.

In any case Rossi's problem is not that no-one is wiling to test his stuff. Many people offered: NASA for example.

Rossi's problem is that he not not willing to allow black-box proof of concept testing where he does not control the test apparatus.

    What does that tell you?

In every one of the apparent successful tests Rossi has provided the test methodology and test setup, and Rossi or Levi has done the testing...

  • Frank Acland posted a video made during the visit. There was another person as well (not shown):

Probably not important but in the background there was a 166 Hz hum; it might have been from some fan or motor operating at 10000 rpm.

  • One thing puzzles me a bit. When he switches on the power supply, the light below the E-Cat lights up, the voltmeter shows 12 Volts and the wattmeter 0,7W. When he disconnects the E-Cat we have 0 Volts but still 0,7 Watt drawn from the grid by the power supply. Doesn't that mean that the power supply is just more or less idling all the time?

What would you guys think of the idea that the 1 Ohm resistor isn't connected at all and what is being measured with the voltmeter is just the output of the power supply, and the blue light is maybe just a LED? The electronics are not connected at all, and the Watts calculation is bunk. Basically it's just a power supply being switched on and off and on again. And the oil bath with the heat sinks are to obfuscate the fact, that the resistor doesn't get warm at all.

  • A quick calculation of the white SKLep box shows a volume of the plastic box (assuming this box is 14x7x7 cm without a bottom?, completely hand-made out of ca. 5mm thick plastic, and glued together ) of ca. 220 cm³. With the common density of plastic material, ranging from 0,8...2,2 g/cm³ we would get already with the lower density range of 1g/cm³ 220grams. Not looking at the little aluminum film covered base where the Ecat is positioned on...What does that mean? Probably an empty shell around a nice weightless dancing plasma? Or is it in the end just dry steam ("hot air") :/ ^^

Edit: Forgot a potential zero gravity effect that might yet not be discovered....
