ICCF-24 updates and other Anthropocene/ARPA-E news

    Birds of a Feather Sessions

Where do we go next? A forum for investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, and others to connect

and discuss commercialization of LENR. Example topics include technical and financial risk, infrastructure transformation, supply chains, consumer, and industry applications.

Looking forward to this part of the ICCF. Not sure who will be hosting, but almost all the speakers with maybe the exception of Huw Price, have solid entrepreneurial backgrounds. Some fresh new faces also that may be able to provide new direction.

  • The Ansari X Prize was amazing, from inception, unique set of rules, series of stages being met by a thinning field... Won by Sir Richard Branson.

I suppose it might have crossed Elon Musk's mind at some time, "I wish I had entered that contest." He does have Space X as a consolation.

  • Nice plug from Elon Musk about the ICCF. Tells me the Silicon Valley movers and shakers are getting the word out about the conference, and LENR...although they call it something else. I believe Musk was interested in testing the Ecat early on, but Rossi refused. So he has been aware for a long time. This should catch the attention of the media and maybe bring some positive reporting.

    Absolutely

Yes Elon has been following advanced developments... Beyond Rossi.

Nice to see who the XPRIZE group brings to the table... Beyond Musk and Page.

According to a high-ranking government official, the United States wants to remove the test requirements on international flights from June 12. Travellers en route to the United States will then no longer have to present a negative Covid test before departure. That should be announced on Friday. The decision should be reviewed in three months.

  • Student Program luncheon at ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit 2022. - YouTube

Carl Page gives a nice presentation at last month's ARPA-E workshop in Denver. About half way through he starts talking about LENR/CF, and the upcoming ICCF where he explains a little about why the X-Prize may be a game changer for the field.

Got to hand it to him, he has not only enthusiastically embraced the field, but in the process educated himself on it's history. Calling this the 100th anniversary it was discovered. Something we should maybe do, instead of acting like it started with FP's.

I thought it interesting that he again brought up how Google (Team Google/Project Charleston) had some success. If you remember, when their paper was published in Nature, it was written as a "we found nothing, yet we are very excited". It was a confusing message, and most of us at the time assumed they were downplaying some of the positive, and unexpected results to avoid mainstream backlash.

  • Interesting comment recently made (two days ago) by Carl on an IEEE article from Feb. by Team GEC/NASA. It definitely is a subtle pitch for 'cold fusion'.

    gbgoblenote

Carl continues to refer to CMNS Energy Technology as S-SAFE

Solid State Atomic and Fusion Energy

Gennadiy Tarassenko Interesting that he agrees with your thoughts of 'cold fusion' inside the 🌎 Earth. Send him a paper by letter care of BEC Brillouin Energy Corporation. Also, the author bios in this IEEE article are an interesting study. Nice to see Carl's recent interest here.

"This article is like a Turing Machine. It's proven. Bone-head simple. Anyone can understand it, particularly particle physicists because it uses only familiar tools and evidence is high energy particles.

However the implications are that fusion can happen in metals 10 billion times easier than in gas or plasma.

That ought to set Fusion scientists back on their heels.

At the least consider a metal hydride target. Also take another look at Solid State Atomic and Fusion Energy aka Low Energy Nuclear Reactions. They get more plausible now that we have proven electron shielding works.

This bolsters the observations that Earth must have fusion reactions inside to account for the flux of geothermal heat energy, the magnetic shield, plate tectonics, and the helium flux and isotope ratios.

It has been odd that the heat from Earth's core seems to come from the solid inner core, and is convected by iron gyres to the mantle.

But the solid core and liquid core are made of the same materials? Why would the solid be sending convection gyres out?

Perhaps there is some heat producing reaction that works in a solid but not a liquid..

    Here it is!

Lattice confined fusion or LENR might be in Earth's core keeping us safe from the solar winds by powering our magnetic force field!" - end quoted comment
