Reminds me again how the early researchers did not miss much. Generally it seems that whatever is being tried today, was done before but forgotten or lost in the file drawer. I know Frank did an extensive review for prior patents, and surprising this was missed...not that it matters since it expired. This even preceded Srnivasan's work.

Please allow me to express an opinion: It is likely that the LEC mechanism is produced by either Surface plasmon polaritons or Exciton-polaritons.

The Exciton-polariton is the more likely cause of LEN because the use of deuterium in the LEC might produce a superconductive hydride that will provide an activation site for the polariton condensate where the superconductive microparticle will support an optical cavity where the polariton condensate will form.

If polaritons are the cause, a rough surface will amplify the effect. Also look for polarization of emissions. There is likely some emf energy pumping underway, but applying EMF energy to the polariton condensates will amplify the LEC effect. Radio frequency, light, microwaves, infrared, laser light, and spark production are pumping mechanisms that have been used to increase polariton activity output.

I beleive that Piantelli used this LEC like reaction in his experiments using surface processed nickel bars. Also four year ago just after the QuarkX reactor demo, Rossi switched his reactor designs to direct electrical production from heat when he found that electron production was occuring when he pumped his plasma with radio waves.

You can see the high voltage electron spikes show up on the demo scope when RF pumping is applied.

This patent by Joannes Van Den Bogaert is quite extraordinary. I had never heard of him, but forty years ago he imagined the technology of redox electrolyte batteries which are now used industrially to store solar energy.

But I think he was wrong about the MnO4--/MnO4- couple. It does not work. On the other hand, permanganate is very useful for detecting neutrons very sensitively. I filed a patent regarding the improvement of Szilard's method several years ago.

(Applied to the detection of buried ordnances) We will need this technology to demine the Ukrainian chernozium after the war. The best lands on the planet, and we still don't know what created it.

Coming back to Van Bogaert's idea, we now use a redox couple based on vanadium oxide. He hadn't thought of it, but the basic idea was there.

The calculation of said rest mass is dimensionally correct and does not infringe quantum physics or mathematics. The rest mass of the proton is intrinsic linked to spin angular momentum, electric charge and particle radius. The product of mass and spin radius is constant and charge is an inverse function of the root value of mass and said radius. the proton is composed of "spinning quarks" . Two of them spinning in the same sense , one having opposite charge spinning in opposite sense being quenched between the the two others attracting each other by the current law of

Ampère. Electric charge comes out of the formula as dualistic, positive and negative, that is correct!

I want a fast neutron detector. At the moment I moderate with 10cm of tap water

and then activate a solid silver coffee pot . I then quickly interrogate the pot with

a G-M counter.The whole procedure is a bit clumsy.

Hi Alan!

It is much easier to light an high-efficiency red LED: these are so efficient that you can produce a faint light simply by holding with your fingers one of its lead! (No magic: it is due to the mains voltage that capacitively couples with the body and induce a sufficient voltage, even if at very high impedance). In general you have to use enough voltage to overcome the diode forward voltage, but the current can be really negligible (even uA). White LEDs have quite high forward voltage, in the order of 3-4V, red LEDs works around 1V.
