You sure about that?

May I remind readers that all expenses will be publicly reported. We who know and collaborate daily with Alan Smith are aware he budgeted as low as reasonably possible and we all helped him with locations and rate, so as to ensure not a penny will be wasted, please knock it off with the cheap criticism.
Well, the prices are what they are. I was wrong and never checked. Thanks for correcting me.
Still pretty steep for the lower end hotels, but certainly not in the price range I guessed. Nonetheless, all expenses will be accounted for. This is a working trip.
The expenses will indeed be accounted for and published. And because I'm there to network on the forum's behalf as well as learn there's no point in staying somewhere nobody else is and spend cash on cabs. I've been invited to share a lower cost hotel with attendees who have a car, transport is another factor to consider.
ETA- If there's anything left over, the plan is to put it into a pool to help with other projects of help to experimenters and the forum at large.
Rounded to 1850 we don't relax the effort
Thank you very much!
A couple of potential donors have mentioned credit card problems with Gofundme. If it helps I am offering a great bargain in Toothpicks on Ebay -£25.00 for 3, (around US$30.00). Proceeds of any sales will be transferred to GFM by me.
I have sold a set of toothpicks, and also been given a bank transfer for €150. I'll add them to the public account in a couple of days, This means we are almost at the £2000 mark.
fabrice DAVID had the same idea - only one donor so far.

2175.00 Now- I just paid a direct donation from another member into GFM in the interests of transparency and accountability.
Just a bump and will take the opportunity to ask how many of you will attend virtually or be present there.

Passenger MR ALAN SMITH
Thank you all for donating to my GFM to visit ICCF -24. Together you raised £2175. As another researcher has offered to cover the rest of my costs 'privately' I am closing the campaign early at around the 50% level.
The airfare and hotel costs were much lower than I was advised (rare event) which also helps. If you too are visiting ICCF-24 I'll see you there! You guys have been great.
Total raised after fees was £2,103.90!
I'll publish an a/c of where the money went soon. But if anyone else was intending to donate - and missed the boat, Fabrice David is also asking for help.
Alan
Well done Alan, you shall go to the ball!

Cheap criticism, Curbina? Prescient, I would say.

Mutual Wellbeing
The Oxford English Dictionary traces the term well-being to a 16th-century calque of the Italian concept benessere.
Here's to a wonderful Summit.
Our concepts of well-being are expanding.
High on my study list. Wikipedia is actually a good source on this subject, providing rich reference links worth exploring, like Wellbeing TV.
