Would this lead to “onward transmission of molnupiravir-mutated viruses?
The study team systematically investigated global sequencing databases targeting signatures for molnupiravir mutagenesis. The results, while indicating a potentially bombshell situation, haven’t yet been peer reviewed. Thus, they should not be cited as scientific evidence yet.
Findings
The study team report they found a “specific class of long phylogenetic branches” associated with sequences, almost exclusively, from 2022, once the SARS-CoV-2 infected patient is exposed to the molnupiravir antiviral therapy as well as in age groups with widespread usage of the therapy.
The authors explain:
“We calculate a mutational spectrum from the AGILE placebo-controlled clinical trial of molnupiravir and show that its signature, with elevated G-to-A and C-to-T rates, largely corresponds to the mutational spectrum seen in these long branches. Our data suggest a signature of molnupiravir mutagenesis can be seen in global sequencing databases, in some cases, with onwards transmission.”

Just in May, the group procured a £75,000 social listening tool to track Britain’s population online.

Anti-fake news units in the Cabinet Office and DCMS spent much of their time monitoring social media for political dissent under the guise of “counter-disinformation” work.
Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer, Conservative MPs David Davis & Chris Green, journalists including Peter Hitchens and Julia Hartley-Brewer, and academics from the University of Oxford and University College London all had comments critical of the government recorded by the anti-fake news units.

The Counter Disinformation Unit [DCMS] has a special relationship with social media companies it uses to recommend content be removed. Third-party contractors trawled Twitter for perceived terms of service violations and passed them to CDU officials.
Front organizations aimed at minority communities were set up by the Research, Communications, and Intelligence Unit [Home Office] to spread government propaganda in the UK.
Is a “Ministry of Truth” like what would be experienced under the former Soviet Union now readily spying on dissenting speech associated with COVID-19?
It certainly looks like this is the case in this bombshell revelation. Under the façade of taking on “fake news,” a far more nefarious effort involving various defense-related groups continues to conduct large-scale monitoring of the British public on social media.

In another bill, if individuals intervene with medical supplies, say, take a COVID-19 vaccine and study it independently, they could end up with a five-to-fifteen-year prison sentence!
TrialSite reviewed some of the proposed legislation to verify if the media accounts were accurate. In fact, they are. The legislation “amends the Penal Code to typify the conduct of non-compliance with mandatory vaccination, dissemination of false news about the effectiveness of the vaccine and discouraging adherence to a vaccination program.”
The proposed bill continues, “it typifies as crimes, punishable with imprisonment, the conduct of failing to submit, without just cause, m to mandatory vaccination in a public health emergency situation; and to create, disseminate or propagate, by any means, false news about vaccines in the national immunization program, or in any way, discourage vaccination” as reported in English language Rio Times Online.
A most disturbing of trends in a really important emerging economy in the Americas, just the opposite starts to unfold up north in the United States where once hyper-advocates for mass vaccination associated with the COVID-19 vaccines has finally internalized the science, determining a pivot needs to happen. As reported by TrialSite, Dr. Leana Wen epitomized the COVID vaccination cheerleader just a year ago. She was a huge advocate for the government’s mass vaccination program against COVID-19 but she has most certainly had a change of heart. In a recent piece published by the American Medical Association, Dr. Wen—while acknowledging the vaccines’ value in reducing the probability of severe injury, at least during surges (if the dosage schedule is timed correctly)—is now adamant that we need to start differentiating the COVID-19 vaccines from tried-and-true vaccines known to all such as smallpox and polio. If the new laws were passed in Brazil, someone like Dr. Wen could be sent to prison potentially.
Why the extreme reaction to the population’s concerns about the COVID-19 vaccines? Yes, they have helped dull the sharp edge of the pandemic’s knife but they are also not perfect. These are new products with some safety concerns, and it’s perfectly legitimate from a scientific and medical point of view to discuss both the pros and the cons associated with COVID-19 vaccination, which is unless democracy fades into some darker form of government.

Now vaccine skeptics to outright anti-vaxxers, emboldened by growing data revealing that all that was promoted by governments perhaps isn’t quite the exact reality on the ground, have organized on social media turning to Facebook and elsewhere in what mainstream media labels as the promulgation of misinformation. In fact, some radicals involved with this activity are even going so far as to harass blood transfusion centers to “protect’ people from receiving “tainted” blood.
While there is no evidence, at least none that’s agreed upon by organized medicine, that COVID-19 vaccinated blood includes contaminants toxic to the body, a small minority of critical front-line physicians, scientists, and health policy professionals are growing increasingly uncomfortable with the current track record of the COVID-19 vaccines.
Some physicians have gone on the record that the COVID-19 vaccines elicit the “toxic spike protein,” which, for whatever reason, in some people, can wreak havoc on the body. But this declaration is by no means considered a reality by a majority of national and global health institutions.
There are even some advocates calling for “pure” blood banks, meaning only the blood from unvaccinated individuals makes its way into this proposed biorepository. Reports from various mainstream media outlets suggest, in some cases on the ground, first responders have fielded requests for pure blood when needing to conduct an emergency transfusion.
Like any movement, there exists a spectrum of individuals, from the open-minded to moderates to outright radicals. While the great majority of purebloods are likely falling under the moderate category, there are some outliers (radicals) not only declaring that the COVID-19 vaccines have led to a massive death count but also calling for violence against health care providers that are involved with vaccination.
What are some examples featured in the mainstream media?
In an extreme case reported by CNN’s Kathleen Magramo, New Zealand parents lost custody of their critically-ill six-month-old baby (placed under the temporary guardianship of New Zealand’s High Court) after the boy’s parents rejected a lifesaving heart surgery using blood from people who received the COVID-19 vaccines. This court as reported by CNN appointed a pair of doctors serving as agents of the judiciary to oversee the ongoing care of the baby.
This so-called movement emerged last year as, even by the early Fall, the New York Post reported that “Some anti-vaxxers have proclaimed themselves ‘Purebloods’ in a campaign of biological supremacy against those who received the COVID-19 vaccine.”
As reported recently by France24, an epidemiologist and assistant professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, Katrine Wallace, declared about the New Zealand situation “Cases like this spread like wildfire on both fringe and mainstream news sites, and then social media, providing attention for anti-vaccine theories.”
One group also covered by the French media is Safe Blood Donation, a “global mediation service” founded by naturopath George Della Pietra in Switzerland. They claim that mRNA vaccines represent a “health threat” while they attempt to match unvaccinated blood donors with recipients.
The Agence France-Presse (AFP)-originated piece also involved an outreach to Pietra, which resulted in the following response from the organization’s media director:
“There are a large number of scientists and doctors who not only have great concerns about the COVID vaccines but are convinced that they also enter the body via the blood through the back door, so to speak, and remain there.”
But how long does the spike protein last in the body? Does the spike protein move about the body?
According to mainstream media accounts, the spike protein stays within the injection area region and doesn’t last in the body for more than a few days. Take a description by the University of Nebraska Medicine, which declares:
“The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines work by introducing mRNA (messenger RNA) into your muscle cells. The cells make copies of the spike protein and the mRNA is quickly degraded (within a few days). The cell breaks the mRNA up into small harmless pieces. mRNA is very fragile; that's one reason why mRNA vaccines must be so carefully preserved at very low temperatures.”
Citing an “estimation” from the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA), the academic medical center shares that the “spike proteins that were generated by COVID-19 vaccines last up to a few weeks like other proteins made by the body.”
TrialSite has chronicled many studies suggesting that the reality may, in some cases, be different. According to a Stanford University peer-reviewed study funded by the NIH and the Gates Foundation and published in the journal Cell, the investigators found that the Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA vaccine for COVID-19 was found to have at least as much spike protein in the blood as unvaccinated persons who were infected by the virus.
An Unfolding Science
First, the researchers compared several batches of plasma from different patient groups. They took plasma from 530 hospitalized patients with moderate to severe COVID symptoms comparing them to plasma from 87 patients with “mostly mild” symptoms, plasma from 196 vaccinated Mongolian patients, and plasma from 37 “healthy” individuals prior to the pandemic (as a control group).
Finally, the researchers also examined the saliva of 20 healthy individuals.
First, they found that the spike protein was present in the vaccinated individuals in their lymph nodes up to two weeks after vaccination. The study authors pointed out:
“We find that BNT162b2 vaccination produces IgG responses to spike and RBD at concentrations as high as those of severely ill COVID-19 patients and follows a similar time course.” They continued, “Unlike infection, which stimulates robust but short-lived IgM and IgA responses, vaccination shows a pronounced bias for IgG production even at early time points.”
Additionally, the Stanford team reports that at 1-2 days of vaccination, 96 percent of patients had a median of 47 picograms of spike protein per milliliter of blood and as high as 174 pg/mL. Infected COVID patients with acute symptoms are known to have a median of 70 pg of spike protein per mL of blood.
A week after vaccination, 63 percent of patients had detectable levels of spike protein in the blood – a median of 1.7 pg/mL. The authors continued:
“We detected spike antigen in 96% of vaccinees in plasma collected 1–2 days after the prime injection, with antigen levels reaching as high as 174 pg/mL,” the authors wrote. “The range of spike antigen concentrations in the blood of vaccinees at this early time point largely overlaps with the range of spike antigen concentrations reported in plasma in a study of acute infection although a small number of infected individuals had higher concentrations in the ng/mL range. At later time points after vaccination, the concentrations of spike antigen in blood quickly decrease although spike is still detectable in plasma in 63% of vaccinees 1 week after the first dose.”
The authors suggest that spike protein still resides in patients’ blood – possibly as long as 28 days after vaccination –but it is undetectable with current antigen test kits.
In a case series, Japanese physician-scientists represented by corresponding author Shigetoshi Sano, a dermatologist at Kochi Medical School (Kochi University), investigated in a case report the phenomena of varicella-zoster virus (VZV) reactivation linked to the administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA vaccine known as BNT162b2 or Comirnaty.
Reports are that VZV reactivation represents a rare side effect, manifesting as a skin-based reaction in men. With the report published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Cutaneous Immunology and Allergy, the recent case report probes whether mRNA COVID-19 vaccination could trigger persistent VZV reactivation via disruption of the immune system.
Does the expressed spike protein play any pathogenic role? The authors cannot be certain; thus, they use the term “elusive” for the possible linkage. Why is the spike protein surfacing in skin cells in what appears to be an ongoing VZV reaction to BNT162b2?
The Japanese study authors, using PCR Analyses and immunohistochemistry as part of the diagnosis, report on what they referred to as a striking observation: “the vaccine-encoded spike protein of the COVID-19 virus was expressed in the vesicular keratinocytes (most common cell type) and endothelial cells in the skin.”
So, at least in rare instances, the spike vaccine-encoded spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 does manifest in other parts of the body.
Other studies published by TrialSite suggest while vaccine injuries are rare, they do occur and the spike protein associated with COVID-19 vaccination appears a culprit. For example, in a yet-to-be-peer-reviewed study result at the time, funded by the NIH and with little to no mention by the mainstream media, a group of investigators in an observational study in the form of a clinical evaluation involving patients with new onset paresthesia (abnormal sensations often caused by pressure or damage to peripheral nerves) without or without autonomic symptoms shows up as a consequence of COVID-19 vaccination as well as response to immunotherapy with corticosteroids or intravenous immunoglobulin (IVI).
Represented by Corresponding Author Dr. Avindra Nath, this study included 23 self-referred patients evaluated between January to September 2021 for new onset symptoms of polyneuropathy which include sensory, motor, or autonomic presentations within one month of a SARS-CoV-2 vaccination.
Led by the NIH, the study authors utilized the apex research institute’s IRB for ethical approval. All patients were evaluated in person (n-13) or on television (n=10) while data were abstracted from medical records.
The study team reports in the manuscript uploaded to medRxiv that the team evaluated the causes of small fiber neuropathy (SFN). They report two of these possibly vaccine-injured patients presented organ-specific autoimmune disorders, including one with Crohn’s disease and the other with Hashimoto thyroiditis in clinical remission at the time of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
First, the authors note that all the patients in this study reported symptom onset within three weeks of the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine. 39% developed the symptoms after the second dose, completing the primary mRNA series. 17% reported mild-transient symptoms after the first jab with full onset after the second dose, raising the possibility of immune priming to the spike protein.
The authors note that only one of the patients was observed with evidence of pre-vaccination COVID-19 infection. Cross-reactivity between seasonal beta coronaviruses and subunits of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein might play a priming role.
They concluded that several neuropathic symptoms could manifest post-COVID-19 vaccine. For some patients, there is potentially an immune-mediated process, and this observational study, while small and never peer-reviewed, should be better understood with more follow-up study.
A group out of UC Berkeley had their study results published recently in the journal Nature Communications. Led by authors Scott B. Biering in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology in the School of Public Health and Eva Harris, Professor of Infectious Diseases and Pathology; Director Center for Global Public Health, this study produced evidence that COVID-19’s spike protein possibly generates a viral toxin leading to severe infection.
The study, according to its authors, raises doubts in response to so-called vaccine skeptics, that the spike protein associated with the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines alone is toxic unless accompanied by infection and immune responses. How do they prove their argument against vaccine skeptics? They do not provide a refutation of vaccine critics’ arguments that the spike protein is by itself pathogenic.
Rather, the UC Berkeley-led team argues that based on their experiments thus far, they observe far less concentrated spike protein circulating in the body after COVID-19 vaccination than compared with severe SARS-CoV-2 infection as observed in the study.
Based on observations in the study, the authors make the fascinating declaration against so-called vaccine skeptics who are “stoking fears about the potential dangers associated with the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein” that there is “no evidence that the spike protein can cause symptoms in the absence of viral infection.”
Instead, the study authors suggest that “the spike protein may work in tandem with the virus and the body’s own immune response to trigger life-threatening symptoms.” The study results are fascinating in their refutation of vaccine skeptics targeting the spike protein alone as a vaccine-created pathogenic protein. This study is important as it raises awareness as to the possible toxic impacts of portions of the spike protein in the context of SARS-CoV-2 infection and immune system response and offers vaccine skeptics the opportunity to take on the research challenge.
Advocates for the 'Spike Protein as Toxin' Hypothesis
Groups such as the independent Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care (FLCCC) Alliance considered controversial by mainstream medicine yet as heroes from many vaccine-injured have gone on the record, sharing strategies regarding the most effective treatments for COVID-19 patients. Founded by Paul Marik, MD, FCCM, FCCP, and Pierre Kory MD, MPA, the organization since its inception earlier in the pandemic has “reached millions of people through its protocols, website, webinars, newsletters, social media, speaking engagements, and media appearances.” As stated on their website, healthcare providers around the world have adopted the FLCCC protocol and helped “many thousands of people.”
With an aim of saving lives while improving health by advancing protocols based on the latest science, data, and clinical observations, the FLCCC protocols have been tailored to address COVID-19 infections in several stages from early treatment, (I-CARE), to treatment for hospitalized patients, (MATH+), and even for chronic and post-exposure prevention, (I-PREVENT.)
Again, the group is considered controversial by the medical establishment for its embrace of the widely available, economical, and generally safe (at formally indicated dosage) generic drug ivermectin as part of the protocols to combat SARS-CoV-2, the virus behind COVID-19. The group recently opened up more controversial topics for discussion such as identifying post-COVID-19 vaccine injuries as "Spike Protein-Induced."
In fact, last October 14-16, 2022, the FLCCC invited over 300 physicians, and other healthcare providers for the inaugural conference titled “Understanding and Treating Spike Protein-Induced Diseases.” With an aim of gathering a deeper understanding and expertise about the adverse effects of what presenters referred to as the adverse effects of the vaccine’s spike protein, one key topic was the persistence of spike-induced diseases persisting in patients.
During this conference, front-line physicians offered approaches for how to identify symptoms and care for patients suffering from Long Covid or COVID-19 vaccine injury. The lectures were thoughtfully organized in the two-day educational itinerary to build upon the lessons of the previous panel members’ teachings. But again, the findings associated with the FLCCC will not be accepted by the medical establishment, including regulatory bodies (FDA EMA), apex research institutes (NIH), and national public health agencies (CDC).
A Vaccine Injury Group Chimes In
The COVID-19 vaccine injury group called React19, the largest such group in the world, recently issued a report titled “The Spike Protein Problem.”
Segmented into a couple of parts, the patient advocacy makes a strong case for challenges with the spike protein in COVID-19 vaccine-injured population with a link to a literature review with over 1,300 articles.
Identifying trends of vaccine side effect/injury across vaccine technology and brand, the non-profit organization reports myocarditis has been reported for both AstraZeneca and Janssen vaccines but also, of course, this is a known risk with the mRNA-based vaccines, including Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT162b2) and Moderna (mRNA-1273). While vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia that led to the pause of the Janssen clinical trial in the United States has also been identified as a possible rare side effect with the mRNA vaccines. A big list of various reports and studies is now available. It's time for the medical community to start caring for all patients.
Trialsite has spoken with the organization’s co-founder, Brianne Dressen, who has shared that she volunteered to be a subject in a COVID-19 vaccine (AstraZeneca) trial out of duty for the community. Tragically, she has received life-alternating neurological injuries and this was one of the reasons why she founded the group along with a physician Dr. Joel Wallskog.
Dressen was courted for months by federal agencies and institutions, including the FDA and the NIH so they were fully aware of her, and others’ injuries. But these injuries, unfortunately for Dressen and the other vaccine injured, represented an inconvenient truth in association with the mass COVID-19 government response.
Dressen is now courted by multiple mainstream media that are considering this earth-shaking story—that the government was well aware of the plight of the injured and did nothing about it, even after pushing mandates.
Back to the Purebloods
So, the American Red Cross biomedical communications manager recently addressed mainstream media to unequivocally declare no concerns with COVID-19 vaccinated blood. Jessica Merril said that “Blood donations from individuals who have received a COVID-19 vaccine are safe for transfusion.” She declared that “Similar to other vaccines ... The COVID-19 vaccine is designed to generate an immune response to help protect an individual from illness, but vaccine components themselves are not found within the bloodstream.”
However, as studies have shown, at least in some rare cases, it appears that the spike protein does manifest in the blood system.

But how accurate is all of this? What seems clear from the science is that the situation remains an unfolding one, and it’s not conclusively proven just how long the spike protein remains in circulation, how frequently it circulates, and whether it’s a toxin.
While the mainstream media quotes various sources representing organized medicine that the claims that the spike protein circulates as a toxin is absolute “anti-vaxx misinformation” appealing to fear, it’s clear that there is some evidence that A) the spike protein does persist in the body, at least on rare occasions for a prolonged period of time and B) that there are plenty of vaccine injury cases. A review of the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System indicates a tremendous surge in reports as compared to previous vaccine campaigns.
However, the government’s formal response to this is that this doesn’t represent any proof of a safety signal. In fact, although there are 18,977 deaths reported in VAERS associated with the COVID-19 vaccines, they “do not necessarily mean that a vaccine caused a health problem.”
The CDC points out:
“More than 668 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through January 26, 2023. During this time, VAERS received 18,977 preliminary reports of death (0.0028%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. CDC and FDA clinicians review reports of death to VAERS including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records. Continued monitoring has identified nine deaths causally associated with J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccination. CDC and FDA continue to review reports of death following COVID-19 vaccination and update information as it becomes available.”
Conclusion
Although the mass media and organized medicine overwhelmingly deny any issues with the mRNA COVID-19 spike proteins, TrialSite chronicles significant evidence of vaccine-induced injuries, albeit rare. TrialSite reminds that anytime 229 million people will become fully vaccinated in one surge over a couple-year period, even an absolutely safe vaccine or medicine will lead to some side effects, and a rare number of them will be classified as serious
TrialSite estimates anywhere from half a million to up to two million significant vaccine side effects have occurred in the United States that could be classified as injuries in some way. This figure could be incorrect however as the matter hasn’t been formally and systematically studied: this remains an estimate. The count could be less, and it could be more, and this media follows the science so remains open to updates and corrections.
But what is clear is that there is vaccine injured who need to be cared for and that the government planning for this contingency was woefully inadequate. It’s probably a sound idea to start to depart from the “anti-vaxx” label just because persons are critical of the COVID-19 vaccines. That’s the conclusion Dr. Leana Wen has recently come to. The former cheerleader for lockdowns and mass COVID-19 vaccination in a recent piece for the American Medical Association recommends now that we back off on treating the COVID-19 vaccines like the other immunization programs such as polio and smallpox. See Dr. Wen’s communication to the AMA: “COVID-19 Vaccines not like others—Time to Separate mRNA COVID Shots from Routine Childhood Immunizations.”
As far as the “Pureblood” theory goes, and those promoting offerings that involve a financial transaction, there isn’t sufficient data from systematic investigations to support the claims of these groups. On the other hand, however, the predominant claims that the vaccines’ spike proteins don’t persist for long, move around, or cause harm are not conclusively proven either.
When receiving a pitch involving payment from one of these groups pushing the “pureblood theory,” remember Caveat emptor.
