Hello everyone,
we will do a forum maintenance this week.
During that maintenance the forum will be moved to another new server with better performance.
In the best case this will take only a few hours. But as always you never know the troubles to come 
So don't worry, we will have backups and snapshots, so we can roll back at each point.

Unfortunately the migration is not finished. There is a strange HTTP<->HTTPS issue on the new server which I have to figure out.
In the meantime the forum is available on the old server again.

"Search by Author" does not appear to be working on the Search page.
Works for me- for example top result is your post above, though most of the returns are for 'conversations' going back to 2020. But it was never perfect in my experience.

If I search for you or myself I get only posts from earlier today or from conversations. If I search for other members I get no hits. This is different from before. "Search" always used to work quite well.
You are correct. 'Search Author' only works for people who have posted today - and then seems to serve up mostly 'conversation' posts.

I tried several searches for different Authors and some worked just fine and some others returned empty. No limitation of type of post or date in the ones that worked fine.

@cydonia- you have glued it back on now.
I am still finding that the Search page does not work well. Typically, forum posts between mid 2016 and September 2022 are not found.
Try, for instance, searching for posts by Alan Smith between Jan 1, 2018 and Jan 1, 2019. Nothing is found.
Can anything be done? Or is this permanent?
