Hi all,

I'm thinking about making some larger changes to the server, switching back to the previous web server technology we used on the old server. It will also save us a lot of money.

Unfortunately this will cause a downtime of several hours.

I just did the migration to the other web server technology. Can you please try again if the search is now working?

we were using nginx for years before we got a recommendation to switch to a cpanel managed server, because cpanel is supposed to be easy to use, even for non-informaticians...

As cpanel only works with Apache (and costs a lot of money for the licensing each month), we had to switch to Apache web server. The Apache web server had some issues with the necessary rewrite rules for the forum. I suspect this was also the issue with the search.

Long story short: None of the team ever used the cpanel except me, and as I'm familiar with CLI and open source solutions like ISPConfig, David Nygren and me decided to switch back to free and open source solution ISPConfig, which we used successfully for years before without any troubles.

Now we are back with nginx and everything is running fine.
