Dissimilar Metal Corrosion Reactions ?

  • The EZ way

build them in foam, brush them with fireplace mortal ,heat them til the foam is gone, fill them with mix. and salt water. add more fireplace mortal to the bottom "still wet' and place them.

with luck the magnet wave attached to the steal bits will keep things moving.

    still a way's to go...

  • Before I forget again..

I called it a chain reacting push and pulling. the steel bits together with aluminum between them and letting the chain let go in cycles

Very long tube of steel and aluminum bits/ 'not dust".. thinking of coffee cream powder and a flame going boom.when the bits are to small with room to expand.

  • As I procrastinate..

mortar lined with iron dust, as for the rest of it I have no idea

chunk of hand rail. from a scrapped cruise ship,

silvery looking stuff ect to add to the Steel and Aluminum

still need a vapor box to drop it in.

  •   Just Just a over grown Tesla Coil using the spark to heat water.

Its magnetite's / decay metals are used as the Bla bla bla

Should be simple to understand at this point.

Pre dry all the mixed metal magnetic primary or they will pop.

And that what its all sitting on is the capacitor. It bites..

Some details and what I think is going on.

I wax the aluminum sheet 4'x8'

i lay out the cloth full size of the plank.

I mix the resin and hardener

poor the resin over the cloth and use a swimming pool round foam noodle cut in 1/4s to get the air bubbles out of the cloth and let dry.

If I wait a day or a week its the same.

If I pull the glass sheet slowly not much happens but the faster I pull the glass the larger the spark.

what I think is going on..

A small reaction from the resin and the chroming on the cloth and the aluminum builds a very small charge and gets trapped in the very small bubbles in the glass, as i pull, the bubbles brake releasing each charger into the aluminum until it grows and seeks a ground and jumps.

I think the same thing is going on with the project now. each steam bubble hits the aluminum sheet with a small charge and builds until it jumps.or is held by the plywood aluminum box as a capacitor...

    my thinking anyway lol.

  • note.

Never did get a chance to add mercury or 'other" added to aluminum to get a amalgam, bet it would be interesting.

The mortar mixed with steel dust is interesting.. thin coat to build up
